YOU LIKE MARIAH TOO?? 90'S MARIAH!?? (I'm fangirling again) Oh, as for me I listen to everything as well lol.

Dude! Mariah Carey is my favorite female singer EVER. I don't think any other female singer will change my mind about that. But only from the nineties U_U She was the most gorgeous woman, and has the most bombastic and beautiful voice I've ever heard. I've listened to a ton of her songs. Some of my favorites are: Fantasy, One Sweet Day, Always be my Baby (my favorite!), Love takes Time, Someday, Emotions (Holy kitten, such a difficult song and so addicting), All I want for Christmas, I'll be There, Vision of Love... I can't even recall all of them. I like a few songs of her from the next decade such as Fly Like a Bird (beautiful), What about Us. But really, 90's Mariah rocked!

EDIT: I hated and still do Nick Cannon.

You don't even knowww. Mariah Carey was the first artist I obsessed over. She helped me through some really tough times (when my father died, I listened to her a lot since he liked her). And I have every album by her. From the 90's till now. But of course the 90's was her best era. That's when her voice slayed the masses (and yes, I like her voice better than Whitney Houston. Sorry everybody!)

You need to listen to her new album. It's a shame her horrid advisers didn't promote it enough. But it's sooooo good. It reminded me of The Emancipation of Mimi so much. Oh, and you didn't mention my fav- Honey! Omg that song takes me back.

Hey what kind of music do you guys listen to? Curious!

Mostly pop, Japanese and Tamil. And I always listen to songs there's like top 100, on billboard.

Some of the songs there describe my mode:)

First of all, I am very, very sorry to what has happened to your father :( I was already aware of it when you mentioned it in the Ferguson thread. I just never mentioned it.

This will be a long post:

EDIT: This will be a very long post (I got carried away, ups):

Music can work wonders and heal. And Mariah Carey possesses something magical in her voice that carries me away each and every time I listen to her songs. Even today she does. It's just her new songs don't always resonate with my taste anymore. The first time I became aware of Mariah was in 2007 when she showed up in German's Idol (german version of American's Idol XD). Slowly but surely, I became a fanatic of her music. Btw, another song that I forgot to mention is "Hero"... It was one of the first songs I've ever heard from her. While "Always be my Baby" is my favorite song of her, "Hero" has a more special meaning to me. Not a love song, "Hero" sends out such a simple and blatant message to the audience: That every one can perform heroic deeds. Oh, and I did listen to most of her songs from her new album. I was superhype when I heard about her newest album!!!!!!!!! But was also very disappointed that it kept getting postponed... Now that you remind me, from her latest album, I absolutely love "The Art of Letting Go" (beautiful...), "Beautiful" (the Spanglish version is awesome), "You're Mine", and "You Don't Know What To Do" (very addicting).  And that song with her kids was adorable XD ! I was bumped that it was a commercial failure, but then again, I didn't buy it either although I told myself I would... In the end, I never buy albums  . I might get myself some Mariah Carey albums and Michael Jackson albums (Thriller! ) sometime around this year though.

I'm genuinely sad that her days as a famous singer are over... Nowadays, a lot of people don't even know who she is. If there is one regret I have about not having been a teenager in the eighties and nineties, it's b/c I never got to experience the fame Michael Jackson and Mariah Carey had during the height of their careers. I don't know why, but nowadays, it's hard for me to see any singer being able to emulate the raw vocal power and control these two had/have over their voices. Ariana Grande is extremely talented, and she is very often compared as the "New Mariah Carey", but I'm skeptical. I don't think it's fair anyways to implant this Mariah Carey image on Ariana Grande. Christina Aguilara has one of the best voices next to Mariah Carey in my opinion, but I'm not the biggest fan of her songs.

I love to sing. Ever since I was a little child, I sang. But I'm rather shy about it and seldomly sing in front of others. I never had real singing lessons before either, but maybe one day b/c I want to learn how to read notes. I also want to learn how to play the guitar and play the piano, but b/c of financial issues during my childhood I never was able to get music lessons. But I'm still determined to learn both of these instruments one day so that I can sing at the same time.

Edit: Did you see this performance of her in 2006 at the Grammy Awards? She was the only one on that night who received a standing ovation T^T She made such a successfull comeback in 2005, and the world got to witness one of the best singers that was ever born.

I think the song Honey is ok, but the music video is awesome. So sexy :smug: This was one of the rare times she actually danced (b/c let's face it: She's not born to be a dancer.)

I like Whitney Houston, too, but just like you: I will always prefer Mariah over Whitney U_U

Everything. Just...everything you said Trang. So on point.

I was a kid of the 90's, but not a teen of the 90's. With that being said, I was raised on 90's and 80's music. And it's exactly like you said: you just can't find that raw talent anymore. And whenever you do, they're the most underground artist in the entire industry. You know how the anime industry became filtered with trash? Same thing with the West's music industry. I not saying that every new song is bad, but even the worst 90's song was better than a mediorce 2010's song. And that's shameful. I find it hard to listen to new music for very long, which is why I'm always listening to underground or old school songs. And Mariah Carey will always be a fav.

I don't like all of Beyonce's songs, but I am thankful to live in a time where she's the biggest star in the entire world. I feel like that makes up for my days missed with Michael Jackson. Beyonce is strong, caring, feminist, of color, and she's beautiful. That by itself is inspiration. She doesn't come out with the best songs  :ermm: but as a person she's literally the embodiment of class and inspiration. Not to mention very talented.

Question:

What is camping in  Call of Duty BC 2? In multiplayer are complaining that I am camping, why is my fault  that I am waiting my enemy with my sniper rifle? It is not that Snipers do? of course this a game.  Besides  I have to do it as an one-hand  player I can't move an shoot.

Don't...even waste time on that. All snipers have to camp. And if you're a sniper, players will already hate you. It's really not worth your time. People on multiplayer suck the fun out of gaming.

Nope. I dislike the multiplayer feat. I was raised on playing games for story, so I usually spend my time playing campaign only. I hate going online because dealing with other people who you don't even know can be such a hassle. Plus, I've seen the horrible youtube vids. >.> I'd rather just stay away.

Time for me to answer this, lol.

I'm a huge fan of 80's and 90's music. That's where the voice still mattered you know. Michael Jackson: One of the best singer-dancers I've ever seen. His dancemoves are unparalled in my eyes. Mariah Carey- a living legend. Today we have people like Nicki Manaj swinging her hips in Anaconda and jumping to No.2 on the US Billboard Charts

I don't listen to that many songs of Beyonce, but I will say that she has an absolutely gorgeous voice. The first time I became TRULY aware of her was in Dreamgirls (love that movie). Oh man, I loved her voice. And that one song called "Listen"... I still listen to it until today. Of course, we must not forget "Irreplaceable", "If I were a Boy", "Halo", "Best Thing I never Had" and etc.

I know E-girls and the band Flower from it. A few other Japanese singers I can't think of on the top of my head.

Oh, what do you think of K-Pop? I'm not the biggest fan from it U_U I like some songs from Girls Generation, but that's pretty much it.

EDIT: I hate Nick Cannon.

lol. I really understand why people always complain about singers these days. Nicki minaj is a excellent rapper/singer like all the others.

What really annoys me about them, are how they act in videos.  First of all: kids watch it. They think it's normal and wants them as there rolemodel. I needed to get my sister away from seeing the Anadonca video..

Beyonce is great! I love her.

Yeah I have issues with it as well. Like I support women's sexuality but it's still there for...you know what, I'll just say it like this. People who support this are kind of living under a "masked" feminism. It's where everything about somebody is acceptable just because they're female..And it's like...Nicki Minaj is a great role model to her fans, and she's very talented, but let's not sit here and act like she's not problematic.

I was obsessed with Dreamgirls omg.. Beyonce's B-Day album was my literal soul. I loved that era man...

Look. K-pop is iffy. Personally, I love it. But, that doesn't mean I love every artist. I hate the popular ones like Girl's Generation, 2ne1, 4minute, Big Bang, F(x), etc because they live off of ripping a particular American culture while portraying a dangerous form of beauty. But with that being said, I'm in love with more underground artists like Mamamoo, Spica, Zion. T, Crush, etc. They're more original while respecting the art from they took influence from.  But the K-pop industry as a whole? Lol don't get me started.

I listen to almost anything, but some of my favorites are Skillet, Relient K, Thousand Foot Krutch, Red, Owl City.

I still prefer K-pop over J-pop. Just my preference.

I just feel bad for all the kids in this generation. They deserved better then that.

Even thorgh the music is like that now, it can't be helped, kids, teens and adults will listen to it.

I love both k-pop and j-pop. I haven't heard that much japanese.
