i felt sad for gorilla though.. he liked otsu chan so much i don't know why she can't stand him

In manga, there is alot more development in there betwen them, 

But it's comedic, Sorachi kinda laugh at all the ship fandom, but he teases than from time to time.

Yo guys!

I just wanted to say that I've watched the first two episodes (respectively Episode 3 and 4 b/c I've skipped the first two filler episodes) b/c... I was too curious XD You can thank Ryo for that b/c she reblogs Gintama nonstop on tumblr.

First impression: I really like it! I like the overall setting. You get this medieval feel through the Japanese clothes but at the same time this modern age feel. And all these weird creatures XD

Btw, I had no idea that Gintama is released in the Weekly Shounen Jump!

I suppose I'll watch the anime b/c I'm that kind of hypocrite when I said like three days before, I'll read the manga

First, I gotta finish FMAB, and then comes Gintama.

Kagura is pretty funny chinese girl 

And her "aru" is cool

Shimura's sister? I initially thought that she would be one of those characters that don't return in a long time, but then I saw the other openings and realized that she'll become a recurring character.

Every character in the opening are important even if they don't show up alot, they have importants and even the gags become important in some points

If I had to make a comparison with Gintama, I think to me the most similar series to Gintama so far is Ranma 1/2 (not in terms of actual story progression but just overall character set and running gags).

Literally - 3 or 4 minor characters won't come back, many other - will get their stories.
