It was a good chapter, could have done without the flashback, but still good chapter.

It almost seems as if Kishi needs to remind us what happened between the two major characters of the entire story.

I agree, I don't how this can end in five weeks. And especially if there is a movie looming in the future. Even if it is AU, who is going to want to see a movie going a different direction with the storyline if everything in the manga has already been resolved. Doesn't makes sense.

I agree that it's hard to imagine the remaining issues getting sufficient attention in such a short time. I am unsure how I feel about Sasuke's declaration. It's in character for him, but it is also is a position that makes it incredibly easy to reject his position out of hand. Kishimoto has a tendency to do this, which I dislike. It's not much a clash of ideologies if Sasuke's position means he's basically going to be a bloody tyrant who rules through brute force. He can try and defend it, but the author is writing to audience that will largely reject immediately. Naruto's vision has obvious weaknesses (and really depends too much on the force of his own personality), but four chapters seems awfully short to poke holes in that and then turn around and accede to it.

I'm wondering if Sasuke's position will be closer to an "I lost, so we try it your way, even if I don't agree with it." This method is doable in a few chapters (although not when it combined with the lingering doubts of the romantic subplot). However. the story track makes me thing it will be a full acceptance, but it's harder to believe this if the turn around is quick (although Sasuke has constantly changed his goal throughout the series).

EDIT: The "I lost position" seems too close to what Madara did, so I have doubts about that because he ultimately changed course and bolted.
