Tokyo Ghoul

I hope I will get to read some "Tres Bien"

You want to see a fight b/w Sasaki and Hinami while I am dying to see a fight b/w Akira and Touka. Fate will bring those two women together. Akira's father killed Touka's father Arata. Without knowing it, Touka then revenged her father by killing Akira's father. Someday, I believe that Akira will confront "Rabbit" to revenge her dad, I just know it. What I often imagined though is that she will face Touka with her rabbit mask so that Akira won't find out Touka's true identity until later. Akira might see Touka often together with Sasaki but not suspect anything right away. I've imagined something like this happening in my head a lot of times before.

Let's be patient and see whether or not our predictions will come true ;) Patience is virtue just like AoT has shown us after all these months.

Something tragic will definitely happen to the CCG and maybe force Sasaki to leave. I also don't think that Sasaki's black hair streak will go away. I mean, it's obvious that this black-white streak is quite symbolic for this current version of Kaneki we have. Unlike Kuroneki or Shironeki, Sasaki is a mix in b/w those two versions. And tbh, I would prefer for that black streak to stay there throughout the rest of :re (not the rest of his life of course). I love both Kuroneki and Shironeki, but wouldn't want Sasaki remember his past just to completely retrack back to Shironeki. That white-haired Kaneki was badass but was mentally conflicted. It'd be awesome to have a Sasaki who is both badass and a lot calmer and more collected in his fights.

When it came to Sasaki's showcase power of the ghoul side obviously Akira was playing on the defensive side of things I believe. She pretty much said "You're Sasaki remember that" and I remember prior to that Sasaki said "Nishiro sensei" or something like that can't really remember the name at the top of my head. Another thing I find curious is what will Akira do once Sasaki remembers who he was?

 

Also for Touka and Sasaki say they do hangout (which will probably happen) and Akira's not suspicious at first, but later on finds out about these clues and stuff then who knows... I think it would be really cool to see Akira and Touka to meet up kinda bond somewhat and then when the revelation happens then yeah... I could go on for a while talking about, but it would be cool character development not just for Touka, but also for Akira. Though like you said patience is a virtue, and we should wait  and see just how things play out.  

 

You know that would actually be really really cool to see. The fightning style of white haired Kaneki and the calm cool collected side of him would be an interesting to see. I know many people want full on white haired Kaneki to return in the manga, but when you look at it from a grand scheme of this things. Sasaki/Kaneki has gone through a lot not just in design, but in character development as well. Seeing a blend between the two halves like I said would fit for his character, but it also matches well with his design too.

I still haven't decided if it's a troll or just fantastic writing lol because to be honest, he could have just continued the manga and everyone would have been ok. What made the difference is that they thought the manga was ending. That's why everyone flipped. If he had just continued writing, there wouldn't be talk about it XD 

 

Interesting. I never really thing that OP has fanservice. To me, fanservice is like when they're dressed in a way when there's really no need to be. With OP, I don't really see the problem in (for example) Nami wearing a bikini top, because they're on a ship. So it kinda makes sense to me, where as in FT theyre dressed like that just because...idk, I guess it depends on your definition.

He could have just continued it, and it would have just been a lot easier. But Ishida decided against that idea- whatever motivated him to do that we'll probably won't find out until he's doing an interview (hopefully, not on some Trollmoto level BS). I wonder if he had even planned :re from the start. But I'm damn glad he decided to do :re. Witnessing that kind of writing in the mangaverse is so refreshing.

Lol, tbh, I'm not even sure what the defintion of fanservice is... I don't care that Nami wears a Bikini. That's perfectly fine with me. She's a pretty woman and has every right to wear whatever she wants. What I'm just annoyed at sometimes is the disproportional representation of the women's chests and that slim waists. Although Rebeca- that gladiator outfit... Toei did their best to double up Rebecca's boobs. I don't know if this rumor is true, but I heard that when Oda continued One Piece with New World, there was a survey that asked if they wanted the girls' chest to be bigger... As for guys... Muscles are muscles. I'm not phased by it. It's mainly just the way many mangakas represent girls that irks me even though I'm trying to ignore it. Lol, and here I go again, rambling about something so trivial in One Piece XD

How long do you think :re will run? It's too early to say, but I expect :re to last as long as its predecessor which lasted about three yrs. So I assume :re will last about three to four yrs.

Akira is supposed to keep an eye on Sasaki, no doubt. I wonder if she knows Sasaki's true identity... Suzuya knows 100% that Sasaki is Kaneki. I don't what Akira will do if she finds out that Sasaki will remember his true self... She's unpredictable when it comes to her devotion to her job. But I want to believe that Sasaki has become important to her over these two yrs- someone like her... younger brother (not son).

Oh, seeing Akira and Touka bond woud be great! I haven't consider that yet, lol. They might actually like each other ^_^ Both are confident, strongwilled women and know how to keep Kaneki/Sasaki in tact (Mado Punch ). For now, I'll just imagine all these scenarios out in my head.

Agreed, Ishida would deviate from the norm if he decides to stick to this current Sasaki. It would be a more realistic move in my eyes.

Btw, how often do you think Sasaki has fought with his Kagune during the last two yrs he was a ghoul investigator? Akira said to Urie and Shirazu that they "haven't seen Sasaki's full potential" yet. I'm surprised how perfectly Sasaki can control his Kagune. I think, when he called out Nishio's name, Sasaki had less control over himself as that was Shironeki who was fighting Nishio.

Btw, did you notice this on p.2 from Ch. 1 of :re?

That's Sasaki on the left, right? I can figure our a darker hair shade in the middle. That person says:" I've read that before." Lol, I feel like Sasaki experiences something that feels to familiar to him.

SP better not mess up Ch.71! I'm just saying. Season 2 might boost the manga sales again if it is done right. I want people to give this manga a try so badly. I'm probably annoying my little brother with my pleas to start the manga already. Right now, the only thing he has in his mind is League (I suck at video and computer games). I wanna see his face when he comes across all those mindf*cks.

That Naruto ending was pure poison, but Ishida's writing was the remedy for us. Hmm, I'm trying to look up some bio info of Ishida, but I can't find almost anything. Lol, I'm irked by this kind of stuff in One Piece, but I won't let that cloud my overall judgement of the series. I guess I'm not not phased by the sixpacks by it b/c I'm so used to it by now. It's different in Tokyo Ghoul b/c we all know that Kaneki was initially as thin as a stick. Seeing that transformation in Ch.88 was very effective and also a sign to us readers how much he has trained.

I don't think they will, because they're not in charge anymore, in terms of writing. But, it's possible they mess up the animation, in which case I will never forgive them! Most of the time, the animation was pretty good. Except for the fight scenes, I guess. Yeah, he wasn't famous before. One of those lucky writers who becomes famous with their first work like Kishimoto, Oda, and Kudo, I guess. Doesn't happen to often.

First of all, from the previous spoilers: When Sasaki said this line with the women, the only thing I imagine this could have to do with is Nutcracker.

Who the kitten is that?! Spoilers will probably leak later on like diarrhea.

EDIT: Is that maybe Amon?! Idk why, but his hair, the body built, and height... He lost his left arm, am I right? Calling it now: That's Amon! I bet this is the last page of Ch.12 b/c Ishida often introduces a highly anticipated character at the end of a chapter.

Some on on tumblr made a very good point: The cover page of Ch. 124 of TG has Amon in a cloak and a stab which looks similar to the one in the above picture. Could this be a hint?

well there’s a possibility she was just trying to confirm that Kaneki is a dove now, but idk… I need to see her reaction first to know if she really doesn’t know anything about Sasaki.

Yeah, I don't trust SP and their animation. They rarely do a good job it seems. They only animate their interests really well it seems, and leaves everything else with terrible quality.

I would say the same thing 3 to 4 years a good tim frame if it goes past that say like 6 or 7 then that would be kinda pushing it. Like you said though it is a little early to predict the outcome of how long re runs since it did just start.

Hopefully that is the case between Sasaki and Akira as far as their bon goes. I mean there was a at least a good time span between the original manga and re. So I'm expecting some kinda dynamic be it a moher- son (highly doubt it ) or an older sister - little brother (highly possible).

Tell me about it some many lol moments would happen if we see something like that between Akira and Touka. re did just start so its got a lot of potential to be amazing.

That's a really a good question !! I don't even know where to begin, probably a lot because I have a feeling that Akira took Sasaki under his wing and by doing so he came in contact with ghouls and you know... I am interested though in seeing Sasaki's true potential.

At least the Aogiri Arc will be completely animated. And hopefully that bittersweet departure scene b/w Kaneki and Touka T^T

Lol, if the spoilers are true, Sasaki really did go back to see Touka This is what I also expected: For him to come back alone and to gradually get to know Touka all over again.

And Amon might be back. I'm 99.9% sure that's him in the spoiler pics!

Just when we got into Tokyo Ghoul we have to be tortured with all the waiting T_T

I would say the same thing 3 to 4 years a good tim frame if it goes past that say like 6 or 7 then that would be kinda pushing it. Like you said though it is a little early to predict the outcome of how long re runs since it did just start.

Hopefully that is the case between Sasaki and Akira as far as their bon goes. I mean there was a at least a good time span between the original manga and re. So I'm expecting some kinda dynamic be it a moher- son (highly doubt it ) or an older sister - little brother (highly possible).

Tell me about it some many lol moments would happen if we see something like that between Akira and Touka. re did just start so its got a lot of potential to be amazing.

That's a really a good question !! I don't even know where to begin, probably a lot because I have a feeling that Akira took Sasaki under his wing and by doing so he came in contact with ghouls and you know... I am interested though in seeing Sasaki's true potential.

Oh gosh, this better not become a long-running series. The longer it runs, the more you get too attached to the characters and the story up to a point that it becomes mentally unhealthy like we've seen with Naruto. Having roughly 30 volumes of TG and :re is enough for me.

She sometimes seems to be so cold towards him, but I guess that's just in her nature. Unless she's intoxicated she won't spill out what she thinks of Sasaki, I guess (that was a funny scene when Amon carried a drunk Akira home, lol).

Most likely Sasaki will bring Akira with him to :re once and that's how Akira will meet Touka. I imagine the two women talking about Sasaki and Akira telling Touka what Sasaki is like and that he has develop an interest in the waitress Lol, I can't say often enough that this move from Ishida to seemingly kill Kaneki is just genius writing, really. Unlike Naruto Part 2, One Piece New World, or Bleach timeskip, this is an unexpected and unusual timeskip decision from a mangaka.

Is Sasaki even allowed to use his Kagune? Last time he did it, he was shot down b/c he lost control. He's no doubt a splendid Quinque user and fighter in general, seeing how he earned the White Wing award, which is a huge honor. Sasaki often shows mercy to ghouls, however... I've never really seen him expressing hatred towards ghouls, or do you remember it?

Oh btw, since I doubt you read the spoilers for Ch.12 (which is perfectly fine), let me just tell you, that so far, Ch.12 looks very good (if the spoilers are legit of course).

Okay, I started reading TG back in September and was pretty much obssessed with it I lovedd the story, it was so good I even abandoned Naruto for a while. When it was announced Naruto was ending I put TG down and focused on Naruto instead since it was ending and stuff... big mistake!! Anyways I have to re-read the manga to refresh my memory, but still keeping up with :RE

 

I saw the spoilers, is it true?

Lol, we all just finished TG last week XD Did you finish TG? I'm so obsessed with TG right now; it's so damn good! Sorry to hear that about Naruto :( Trollmoto really hit us hard.

It never hurts to reread the manga. I'll do it too b/c there are so many things to catch up on. TG is a good manga to develop some super interesting theories.

The spoilers I cannot confirm, but they are most likely true.

Btw, are you gonna watch season 2 of TG? It looks like they are continuing where season 1 left of- which means we get to see the whole Aogiri Arc! We will get to see Kaneki rescuing Touka in bridal style, 103 bones, and the departure scene b/w Kaneki and Touka T_T
