look idgaf why you dont like sasuke, and im not in the mood right now to argue but saying  '' and with all my respect to everyone who likes sasukes personality . but their way of thinking and viewing the life  has some wrong with it .and it effecting their real life.. and after all every one has all the right to like and choose what they want '' is the most kittened up garbage i ever heard.and you insulted all sasuke fans because of this...some people simpy like villains..does that mean they are villans in real life?..of course not...disliking a character for personal biased reasons is one thing, but directy insulting his fans because they like him is another thing ,and its very disrespectful..sasuke is a flawed character yes..he is not perfect..just like sakura ,hinata ,karin and many others..and thats the main thing i like about him..i dont want him to be perfect

lol @ this thread.

One thing I've noticed since I started watching/reading Naruto is the community focus too much on what the females want, while completely disregarding what the males want.

Lets focus not only what Hinata and Sakura have done for Naruto/Sasuke, but also focus on what they've done in response to these things (or what they haven't done).

Sasuke has done absolutely nothing to reciprocate Sakura's feelings

From early in the manga, Naruto has thought Hinata was a weird girl and like Sasuke, has not reciprocate Hinata's feelings (and has been unaware of them for most of the manga up until the Pain arc).

In both pairings, the interest has never been there from the males characters.

I've said this before, but for Naruto to answer Hinata's feelings, then he needs to address his feelings towards Sakura, which means a confession and a rejection. Not Sakura confessing, Naruto confessing. At this point it is too late for this to happen without it looking rushed and crap.

It would take YEARS of reconditioning for Sasuke to see Sakura in a romantic light. You also can't erase 3 attempts at Sakura's life.

Maybe I am giving Kishimoto too much credit with how he's showcased the big three. But based on information we've gotten, Naruto is more likely to hook up with Sakura than with Hinata. Sasuke, probably nobody.

It's indisputable that Naruto doesn't love Hinata. He's never loved her, not like how he's loved Sakura. This a cold hard fact. Hinata is in the same league as someone as Kiba or Shino in Naruto's book. She's not special to him in a romantic way, never spent significant amount of time with him, and the pairing has not progressed to the point where it should be taken seriously. She does not mesh well with Naruto's personality. That's the truth and anyone that thinks otherwise with the information we're given is deluding themselves.

Same deal with Sasuke. What's great about this one is he knows Sakura has feelings for him, he's known for ages, she even confessed to him and he still took off to chase power and get revenge with the enemy that tried to destroy their home. Upon their first meeting since then he made TWO attempts at her life. In both encounters she would have been dead if not for Orochimaru and Yamato. Fast forward to after the Pain arc, he made yet another attempt at her life in a cowardly manner, telling her to kill his other teammate and then attacking her from behind. Another attempt is made when she fails spectacularly to kill him with the poison kunai, only to be saved by Naruto. You cannot erase years of neglect, indifference and murder attempts with one chapter and make this pairing believable. People that think that are making the same mistakes of putting more emphasis on the feelings of one character over another, completely disregarding what they want. And yes the same can be said about Naruto liking Sakura, yet this has only been one aspect of his character which he has turned into a positive force and motivation. It is one goal out of many. It does not define his character nor has it negatively impacted him the way Sakura and Hinata's affection to the two boys have impacted them. This is the truth.

Sakura's attraction to Sasuke has held her back and made her look like a joke for the entirety of this manga. In every scene they've been present in her character has been shat on constantly and it's been driven that Sasuke is a negative aspect of her life that she needs to move on from going foward. Hinata's character has revolved around her obsession with Naruto, that's all there is to her character, wanting Naruto and nothing else. This was reflected in her dream in the infinite tsukiyomi. There is nothing else to say about her character. She is nothing but pairing fodder. She knows nothing of Naruto nor has she ever really been shown to support his dream. She has even doubted his abilities as a ninja, when in those scenes Sakura (and Kakashi) have remained confident in his skills as a ninja.

I am sorry but this needs to be said because supporters of both pairings do nothing but waste their time typing up LAPs looking for things that aren't there. Step back for a minute and actually look at what Kishimoto has presented and developed these relationships without bias. Naruto has no interest in Hinata, Sasuke has no interest in Sakura and Sakura has had no interest in Naruto but that has gradually been changing and was hinted at that she may start to harbour feelings of a romantic nature. Does NaruHina / SasuSake have that privilege? NOPE. Do both pairings have the wealth of development NaruSaku has had? NOPE. Does Naruto / Sasuke love Hinata / Sakura? NOPE. Has Naruto / Sasuke, given what we've seen in the manga, shown any interest in taking things further with both girls (only speaking about NaruHina/SasuSaku)? NOPE. Do all four characters compliment eachother perfectly (again, only speaking about NaruHina/SasuSaku)? NOPE. Lastly, has Kishimoto remained consistent with Naruto's attraction towards Sakura? YES. Does Naruto give up? NOPE.

If in the unlikely chance, given what we've been fed by Kishimoto, that NaruHina / SasuSaku happens, then what it will show is that Kishimoto never really gave a kitten about his own story. It will be nothing but an asspull to appease both supporters, when development pointed to NaruSaku as being the endgame pairing. Panels and parallels gone to waste and your own story shat on.

kitten me.

The inevitable truth with the information provided is that as pairings, NaruHina and SasuSaku cannot hold candle to NaruSaku and NaruSaku is hinted as the endgame pairing for the story.

ok . my bad . but your joke made me feel that i offended u .thats why i had to explain my myself . . well my english isnt that great so sometimes i have to repeat my self.. and about the third not of yours .lol .  look ramen . ill tell u something . am just saying that the story of naruto  .gives us a message. . about right and wrong. .. the characters who present the good side naruto  , sakura jiraya  hasirama ect. and the characters . madara sasuke . ex obito . orichimaro.  . so when i view the manga with the fighting style / battles  i like sasuke  more than my favorite character naruto . cause kishi made sasuke fights so amazing . . and here we both agree . right ? but when i view in the right or wrong . things . i dont like sasuke . cause kishi made sasuke the bad side . at least until now . so when someone tells me that he likes how sasuke act and his personality. i feel something isnt right . i say . its either me or or that person . wrong.? do u understand me ramen . this how i see the things . and if am wrong . ill be happy if u correct me really . cause maybe my view on the manga and real life are the wrong one .  :D .  and no i didnt mean to go to the thereby  (why are u making me feel guilty  :zaru: . lol. if am wrong please just tell me . . cause when it comes to right or wrong i remove my pride .. and again my apology if i offended u or anyone . cause really this was not my intention at all .am just saying how i feel and think ..and if it was /wrong/ stupid . ill be happy if someone corrects me . :thumb:

Distinguish story from reality please. Whether people like and support villains like Obito, Sasuke, Orochimaru, Kabuto, and Akatsuki, shows no indication of what they are they like in real life. Your argument is pathetic and on the same level as,"That person likes the color black. He must be a dark person." There are a LOT of Sasuke fans in Japan. Do you think all of them are itching to burn their hometown and kill their best friends? Do you think Orochimaru fans are itching to kidnap young boys and girls so they can experiment on them? Do you think Obito fans are itching to destroy the world because somehow his/her lover got killed? Do you think SasuSaku/SasuKarin fans are in an abusive relationship in real life?

And before you apologize you should know this. You can't say "sorry" and insult the person at the same time. "Sorry" is not a free pass for you to keep offending a person. If you're going to attack the person of Sasuke fans instead of their arguments, you're offending a person.

You, among all people have no right to question the morals of Sasuke fans when you have continuously uttered morally questionable arguments so far. I hope this stops now.

I agree with almost all of this, except for "It would take YEARS of reconditioning for Sasuke to see Sakura in a romantic light."

If he didn't see Sakura in a romantic light before, whether it be part 1 or whatever, why would he now or in the future? Isn't it possible to just not be interested in someone romantically? I think it would take years for him to see her as a good friend, though. Sasuke even stated himself at the end of part 1 that he almost forgot about revenge and thought he could live a life with team 7 instead, and we saw through his actions that he nearly forgot about revenge until he met Itachi again. If Sasuke really was interested in Sakura, he would have acted upon those feelings in one way or another, especially during that time, even if it was just thoughts from him confirming it. He is a human being, so even he would have shown something if he was romantically interested in Sakura. It would be necessary for the story to show he has some type of romantic interest in her if Kishi really wanted this pairing canon, or else it would be a big asspull and leave many fans confused. It is far too late now for him to do that now, and from what I can tell in interviews, databooks, and other things Kishi has written, he never intended SS to be canon, but for NS to be instead.

lol @ this thread.

I have to say, this is one of the most refreshing posts I have read on this forum in quite a while.  I wish I could Like it more than once.

Many of us have said these same things many times -- ad nauseum, in fact -- but it's just great for someone else to do it in such a no-nonsense manner.  In terms of fandom stuff, at least, you've made my day.

I have just a few specifics upon which I wish to comment....

One thing I've noticed since I started watching/reading Naruto is the community focus too much on what the females want, while completely disregarding what the males want.

Yes, there is a lot of sound and fury centered on the females in general -- and from both genders in the audience.  That's actually quite interesting.

From early in the manga, Naruto has thought Hinata was a weird girl and like Sasuke, has not reciprocate Hinata's feelings (and has been unaware of them for most of the manga up until the Pain arc).

In both pairings, the interest has never been there from the males characters.

This is so simple and completely true, and yet even on this site we constantly grapple with people's fears that NH and SS are some kind of threat.   :argh:

There is also so much criticism of Kishimoto for "screwing up" -- or screwing with -- the romance subplot of his story.  It really couldn't be much more clearly written, or more easily discerned with a little effort.  Like the magician metaphor I've used, SS and NH have been nothing more than (semi) plausible diversions to entertain the audience while he completes the trick of NS.

And it's the way the hero is typically distinguished from supporting characters.  Naruto's confidence in, and certainty of, his feelings and goals -- even in romance -- overshadows those of the girls because he is the hero.  Sasuke has so far developed no detectable feelings of this kind, and therefore provides no value to a comparison.

look . if i insulted u or any sasuke fans then i apologize really cause its not in my nature to insult anyone . ill tell u how thought of how to like sasuke is wrong or right .

when i say i like naruto . i have a really good reasons . his goodness his love for his friends . his selfishness . he is funny and nice with people thats why i took him as my favorite character . and i believe its a good and right choice .ok and i didnt pick him because of his abilities or his looks or skills . these things are not the reasons to make a character your favorite . at least to me .

while sasuke is the opposite . of naruto  when it come to the personality . here my mind tells me why people like sasuke if sasuke acts wrong. even if he will change in the future. . his fans are actually liking him and maybe happy with his attitude and his actions .maybe am not sure but when some one say that his favorite character sasuke . i think i have the right to ask about the reason. cause sasuke is a bad character.

and please dont tell me that his abilities and his battles . or his look . these are thing u can like about him even i do(not gay) . but to pick him as a favorite character in narutos manga . i cant find the reason . maybe i cant see it . so please show me . and again . no offence am just asking a reasonable question . and i want an answer . thats all .

look ramen . when i apologize to a person . thats cause i care for other peoples feelings . and because i really dont want to insult them . and if i did insult them i apologize cause it wasnt my intention to insult them . and am honest about this, i can not to apologize ,and dont care about what u and any sasuke fan say or feel . as if nothing happened . but that would make me a bad person . same as (sasuke). and that is not what i want to be .so if u or any sasuke fan to accept my apology or not thats is up to u .and them . but i did what i want to do from my heart.

the other thing is . lol. . and no i dont believe that the villains fans are like them .but  i believe that the taste and liking of these fans has some wrong with it. specially if these fans liking   the villain personalty and his coldness and maybe even making excuses for them . even if its fiction . its remain a wrong taste.. and am not talking about u . i mean i dont even know if u like sasukes personality and actions or not  . am talking about the people who taking him as a favorite character in narutos manga. which i believe is a wrong taste. thats it its my opinion and i could be wrong. . and everyone have the right to choose what they want . and thats fine lets end it here . we have a big chapter tomorrow and a big thing to worry about.

For me, a lot of times having a favorite character is about them having qualities I admire. This is the case with Naruto, Minato, and most of my favorite characters. So I get that.

At the same time, I have also favored a few anti-hero characters. Think all or mostly from other franchises. The first example that comes to mind is Shadow, from the Sonic franchise. Well, Shadow has more character development than any other Sonic character. He went from bad guy to somewhat good...more neutral than anything. He's actually not shown to be a very nice guy, even in recent games of the franchise. But because of his development and his background story, he's more relatable to me than other Sonic characters.

Where I'm going with this is, I think we tend to like characters we can relate to to some degree. Probably not to the same degree, since few of us have fallen to the lows that Sasuke or other anti-heros (or villains) have. Sasuke isn't one of my favorites, so I won't try to explain what people may find appealing about him as a character. But I can see that he would be the favorite of some people, since he does have human qualities after all.

Even liking characters that would be considered morally good is about relating to them...at least, in my case. I like characters with qualities I admire, qualities I want to have...y'know?

But sometimes we may have more in common with the not-so-good guy. Humans don't always live up to ideals, and we don't always live up to our own ideals.

Also, not to say that everyone necessarily likes a character, like Sasuke, for the same reasons listed above. I tend to think it's generally true that people like characters they can relate to--I know that's usually the case with me. But there can be other reasons as well. Sometimes you may just think the villain is cool.

Unless in the next chapter Sakura and Sasuke will declear their love each other, I wouldn't be worried about next SS moments, which it's inevitable to me if the story needs that Naruto cannot be a silver medal for Sakura...

And about all this story where Naruto and Hinata might have some psyich connections, no comment.... Since in the same page kishi showed also other naruto's comrades falling into the MT. It's the usual trick from Kishi, like the one that he did in 684 with Original Naruto or a his clone entering in Kaguya's world....

Meanwhile, after the presumed mental interaction between Naruto and Hinata, Naruto was so worried to say her name and again, again....oh wait.... this didn't happen.

This is still one major problem Kishi has yet to deliver on.

Like I mentioned in the latest chapter thread, what if the movie is an alternate ending and a new beginning towards the Naruto project. In this alternate ending, Kishi can make the pairings canon in the movie that will not be canon in the manga.

That would be confusing and stupid.....ofcourse Kishi will do it this way.

I see why he seems to be trolling the pairing fan service, I see its the only way he can please the three big pairings. However, I don't know what this big new naruto project is all about and its a sequel to the manga, I see two alternate ending won't logically work in Kishi's favor because he will most likely have to choose one of the two endings. And i hope the sketches of the adult Naruto Sakura and possibly their child I've seen today is legit.

It would take YEARS of reconditioning for Sasuke to see Sakura in a romantic light. You also can't erase 3 attempts at Sakura's life.

When I look at the fact that SasuKarin wasn't six feet under years ago I can't help but think: "I'm not so sure Kishimoto can't erase that."

Maybe. I hope this movie Kishi confirms the pairing.

Question 2: If Sakura chooses Sasuke, what message does it give?

physical and emotional abuse is definitely the right way to woo women!

this is completely sarcastic btw.
