BUt I think a more important question to the NH fandom is..has hinata even expressed interest in helping naruto achieve his dream? I am drawing a blank....anyone here got an shots or am being moronic again

but i'm waiting for an edit / meme to come out about Hinata and Rin's "I'm always watching you" it will be so much fun to have my trick or treating with a taste of my fave manga.. i wonder if there is one already.. hohoho
Regardless, it's interesting to see Rin be so supportive of Obito and his dream. It reminds me of Part 1 Sakura who, even though at the time, didn't love Naruto was still supportive of his dream. Who knows, maybe ObiRin could have happened if events didn't play out like they did. It is not certain, but anything is possible. I think this is why ObiRin feels like a NS parallel.
-Rin supported Obito's dream like Sakura supported Naruto's
-Rin cared about Obito even if she picked on him like Sakura did to Naruto.
-Rin was a medic-ninja like Sakura was
-Rin loved a guy who didn't love her like Sakura and Sasuke (Though Kakashi never purposely tried to kill Rin.)
Sure, we had Hinata "support" Naruto too, but I never really believed she supported his dream. She just supported his never-give-up nindo and wanted to stay by Naruto's side for her own sake. Sakura on the other hand wanted to see Naruto succeed and supported not only his dream, but his efforts. Hand-holding...I am not even going to bring this one up because I could argue Naruto just held Hinata's hand to distribute chakra.

Although i did say i want to play it safe..
but i still think that the parallel thing over team 7 and Minato's team is established already since the Gaiden.. people who just doubt Naruto' feelings are most likely to believe otherwise.
If some people would really like to get some parallel shizz and pairing whatnots out of this chapter well here's as far as it goes:
Naruto says NO to SHORTCUTS, to an easy way out, to what's that word again?
instead he'll go on the dangerous path for who says its dangerous?, be a hokage that makes a path out of a dead end for everyone.
Since like most of the people here, this chapter also reminds me of old chapters from the manga
I'm not going to repeat what others have been saying but just to add on it..
Just who is a shortcut? and just who is the unsure "dangerous" path?
who says its impossible?
Who was it again who supported Naruto to become Hokage since before they have seen his real potential?
the one who reprimands him but still continuously support him..? the one who actually DID something to help him (or more like "does" bec. she still is helping him)
Let's go back to the very start...
is it the one who is about to raise her hand to not see Naruto's dream get crushed, even if it means to fail an exam...including the boy she actually likes
or someone who will easily give it to him and make him cheat?? and have it the easy way

No, she never stating any will to help Naruto in achieving his dream. She only uses him to grow up and find her own will. He's her inspiration, her role model. She's just like a fangirl with a star.
While Sakura share Naruto's burden, his pain, his dream, and she stated in Part 1 that she wanted to see hs dream come true and she was willing to sacrifice herself if it could help him to achieve it.
I like how in Kzuna books it was stated his dream became her own.
Saying all that shows that Sakura fits perfectly the wife's role compare to Hinata.

In all honesty, there is not one support from Hinata to Naruto. Hell, she was supporting Kiba. If anything, the fact Sakura teased Naruto to take his spot of Hokage tells you that she still remembers. Also, she is the only character that is always there to see Naruto talk about Hokage, like telling Sasuke how can I become a Hokage if I can't save a friend.
Come to think of it, I wonder why that scene, let alone the fact the use of panel was huge indicating a "say what" from the audience, even happened. The one with Sakura about to give up for Naruto. I mean Naruto said something before she did. Then again, it does have purpose but can it be expanded? Hm. But you know, I guess that's why that critic mentioned that scene in his book in love. Wow, parallel.

That's not completely true, she wanted to support Naruto, but she was scared that Kiba could be mad at her. But the point is still there, she didn't support Naruto and if she really did love Naruto, she wouldn't retained herself. And worse, she didn't have faith in Naruto by believing he had lost, while Sakura and Kakashi knew he would win, Sakura never doubt it during the whole fight.
Really, the more I think, the more Hinata seems to view Naruto as her role model and her "love" or reather infatuation seems to be intensify by her fans. More than it should be.

Well, that's because that's not her character to understand Naruto or anything of that sort. It's about her, period. Nothing more, nothing less. The only one you got is his life, but come on, who would not worry if he dies or not. That's all human nature. Sakura always got the complicated part of Naruto, as well as taking action that is pretty hard to actually go for.

I was talking about the Hokage. That was about her role model being an inspirational by actually winning, because losing would be like, "Well that sucks." But again, outside of that, it never went anywhere else.

That's exactly what I keep saying, they take one little detail and twist it until it fit in their theory to make NH canon in their heads. Like I said, they did it on the MK parallel while saying we were delusionnal to believe in it, and now they are doing the exact same thing with OR.
@ NaruSakuforlife3g: Are you talking about the recent chapter where Kiba claimed he wanted to be Hokage too? Because, if not I don't understand what you're talking about.
And it's normal that her character is just about her and not about understanding Naruto, after all she's just a side character, that's the point of side characters, everything is about them, they have no revelance to the main plot.

How could you ask such a question! she did a lot! 
-she is willing to show her answers during chuunin exams! such a hokage thing to do
-she gave him that ointment! its a great help to give his hokage body some hokage nutrients.
-she fainted when she first saw him after 2 years when he was asking for help, that moe stuff is a boost to a future hokage's heart
-she confessed her love in the middle of a crisis and got herself almost killed in front and that made Naruto mad to the point he almost killed other villagers that he is suppose to protect as a future hokage...but its alright atleast he met papa-minato whose gonna give Nardo some tips.. what she did really helped him a lot. it also increases his popularity in women.
-she slapped him gently, so tenderly so manly! so that he can be reminded of something he should've known and continue fighting.
-then she also made an almost Karin move.. with her thoughts when they held hands. Hokage's needs to be popular with girls
those were fantastic feats..how could you forget! yes i have lots of free time today

True story, I lurk on the Narutoforum's Naruhina fanclub (i have alottt of spare time at school sometimes) and the amount of stuff said regarding one detail is immense.

how could I forget. Yet no emphasis on the helping of Naruto fufill his dream of Hokage. Something Kushina, Rin and to a lesser extent Mito did for their men.
But hey good points. I was wrong all along. I hereby convert to the NH fandom on this spot

Man, I really like Rin. I really like young Obito. I love them all. They are so precious!
Although it is the first time that we know that Obito had no parents, I thought contextually it all fit, so it was unsurprising, and it didn't matter whether it was brought up or not in the past. "Let's make Naruto and Obito even more similar to each other". Really as of now I don't see the point of the information except that it parallels to Naruto's life. I can't stand this whole Rin - Hinata thing and it's not about NH. It's been in our faces over and over how Hinata "staying by Naruto's side" is her own selfish desire. Rin's is nothing like that. Ah.
Okay, I think Kishi is trying REALLY HARD to keep things neutral right now, although I don't see the point because it is clearly very Rin - Sakura, I don't think there is any arguing in that. I think it's possible that Sakura isn't paralleled to Rin in a way that someone else is paralleling them (like Naruto saying "I also have a girl that I love..."), but I feel that her actions and words will be very much like Rin's.
I'm very much in love with Rin's "I'm watching you" to Obito. It's so sweet. If I was Obito I'd have fallen for her as well. I don't really have anything negative to say to anyone. I'm tired of looking at things negatively and it takes a lot of energy. I like the Obito/Rin scenes. I like Rin. How cute is she. I can't get over it haha.
I really feel that there are a few possible routes in the next chapter.
I think there are 3? 4? more chapters in this volume.
