I don't think Kabuto has sage mode anymore because Oro took his Chakra and Dna from him.

 

and besides Kabuto feels like an incapacitated character right now. He might have a return but only to return as a good guy will complicate an already complicated plot.

This chapter was better than the last 2.

 

It actually progressed the story line to defeat Obito. The fact that Obito was bleeding from his mouth means that he felt that.

SO I was reading @ Narutoforums in regards to this new Kurama.

 

He might actually be "nicer" in comparison to the Yang half because Yin is associated with things such as slowness, softness, coolness and passivity, where Yang is associated with velocity, hardness, heat and activity amongst other things. The Yang side was very hostile for the most part of the manga, whereas the Yin part could very well be more cooperative seeing as how Minato was able to activate KCM quite easily.

 

If we think about it, Mangapanda might actually be true when Kurama said my other half... As we know, that Kurama was all about hatred and stuff... While if we think about it, this seems a bit softer?

That's true, it could probably be one of the key factors of how minato was able to enter KCM. maybe the Yin nine tails allowed him to enter that mode because of his softness, and coolness. Most likely we'll get an explanation on these things in the next chapter.

Normally when a chapter doesn't come out, then it'll come out earlier the week after next. To put it short next chapter will most likely come out on Tuesday (August 19) as oppose to Wednesday.

I liked this weeks chapter, though getting a bit tired of the same old formula of Naruto being shown as a dimwit and then doing something to prove them wrong, it's way overused in this manga.

 

I won't be at all surprised if we start seeing fanfiction where Tobimaru turns out to be the Minato's grandfather, they both have the hair, and are the only two people who use the timespace jutsu's, (not as a bloodline like Obito and Kakashi) and the way the second was scolding Minato about his jutsu naming technique was quite amusing.

 

Gotta say it's good to finally get the answer to the question of what the dark Kyuubi chakra would manifest itself as, would it just be a mass of Chakra or would it be a sentient being like the half sealed inside Naruto..this makes me think even more that the two halfs will indeed merge at some point, and maybe we'll see Kurama use some more techniques, as at the moment when you compare him to the other Bijuu he doesn't have any special abilities, and it sems unlikely speed agility and the most chakra would be it.

I hate how the third got defeated off-screen. The other Hokages should at least comment on it.

 

I'm also wondering why Minato doesn't just give the other half to Naruto. I thought that was the gift, but he is using it all up for himself without even using its attacks. D: Maybe Minato gets defeated and that's how Naruto gets it?

Anyway I strongly believe that Naruto will summon Ma and Pa since they are two senjutsu skilled.... Besides Fukasaku tried to fuse with Naruto once but the Kyuubi didn't want it, now they can do that since Kurama has become friend with Naruto.

Tobi will probably soon realise that his transformed state has a vulnerability, if he hasn't already. Logically the next step for him would be to maintain a rigid defencive barrier between himself and Naruto when he is being bombarded with senjutsu powered attacks. But since an effective counter strategy has been discovered, the Hokages will undoubtedly try everything in their power to protect Naruto . After all, he's just become their only combat instrument that can do anything against Tobi.

 

A glaring flaw with Naruto's senjutsu though is that he is severely limited in how long he can maintain Sage Mode, unlike Jiraiya and Kabuto who were able to maintain a constant senjutsu enhanced state through animal summonings and passive natural energy accumulation abilities. I can see Tobi specifically targeting Naruto as he meditates with the Hokages and possibly Sasuke (if he never unveils the Curse Seal) attempting to stall for as long as possible.

Didn't Jiraiya have to paint a unique style of conjuring seal on his face to summon the frog sages? It would seem like there are additional requirements that need to be met before you can summon them unlike Gamabunta, Gamakichi, or any of the other frogs.

Well, we have to see Dark Kurama then see it with Minato and what's he's going to do regarding it.

 

I think Dark Kurama is the gift, but just saying, what if it was another gift ? But, probably this is the gift.

 

By the way, I think he's going to give the gift in the middle of the battle to be a way to try defeating Obito, or at the end when it's all done and before he returns to afterlife.

Brilliant chapter! I think Obito has turned into a really interesting villain and it was really nice to see Naruto telling him off and basically calling him a sour loser.   

 

The hightlight of the chapter was easily the apperance of Dark Kurama, as well as the reintroduction of sage mode, especially since it might lead to a slug sage mode.    

 

The possibility (however small) is definetely there, especially considering what Kishi has been doing with Sakura lately.

Wow, just thought of something. That means Obito can kill Madara. Interesting. Perhaps the Susanoo is a safe bet that can touch Obito. Only assuming since it is like a God or some sort, right. We'll see if Sasuke does intend to do it. I'm still wondering what's that trump card. I can't help but feel mind control, battling with three users. That would be funny. Still, we got 5 left. I need that Buzz Lightyear parallel pic right now. Lol. Kushina wasn't really dumb. When you think about it, judging by flashback, she never shows it. The only thing she shown was easy temper and got that joking part (ex. asking if taking out the baby hurts like hell). I feel like Minato thought about what he said and probably come up, "Like father, like son, huh..." So doing the math, yeah, Minato knows where he got the stupidity from now. Hilarious.

I think SM can hurt Obito now because it's a completely different form of chakra, so I don't think Susanoo will do it.

That's a clever way to have the Edo hokages part. Looks like there role is almost up, another 2 volumes at best. I mean taking a chapter to manually cancel the Edo hokages would seem,
Having them mortal again and making them do something badass again seems so much cooler.

I do see naruto taking center stage, getting the other half of the kyuubi chakra and going head to head with juubito. I do agree, sasgay gonna be uber jelly. He's probably gonna get some kind of upgrade from madara. I still stand firmly behind the belief that sasuke will be influenced by madara at some point setting up the final conflict

I'm the only one finding this rather morbid? For the last, what, 10 chapters, we had the same thing happening over an over again. The 10 tails gets an massive power up that make it look godlike, then our heroes conveniently find an perfect strategy to counter said power up, however it's far from being enough to defeat it, then rinse and repeat. Come on Kishi, show some variety...

I agree, it wouldn't make much sense to have Naruto trying to gain Kurama's confidence one more time. The moment Minato activated KCM on the battlefield two possibilities came to my mind. One, he has the other half of the chakra with no consciousness so he is able to use it freely. Two, there's another Kurama entity inside him who is cooperating with him... which I thought was very unlikely... and it just happens to be this one.

Hopefully we will get a good explanation next chapter.... 2 weeks from now........... :/

It does seen that way, the first four chapters focused on Obito's displaying his power and regaining control as jinchuriki/sage. This chapter showed us that Obito is godlike, but also having a weakness. I think this volume is showing us what Obito can do as a jinchuriki/sage, and what his weakness is.

Just like how the last volume focused on Sakura and team seven, this one's seems to be focusing on Minato and Obito.
