I'm quite confused tbh, we've had 500 chapters of strong NS development and we are expecting Naruto to give up on Sakura???? Seems we are insulting Naruto's character quite a bit to think kishi would have Naruto give up on Sakura because he cba anymore.

Neji's death and the NaruHina handhold were the climax of Volume 64. It makes sense that they would use this as the volume cover, the same way it makes sense for Kishimoto to put Hashirama and Madara on the cover of the next volume. It's nothing to panic over. Been there, done that. This is old news.

Don't hate the cover because there's no NS in those 10 chapters, so it makes no sense to have NS cover when its NH volume.

It isn't just about it being on the cover, but the tone that the action is setting on the entire picture. Naruto/Hinata *is* the focus, and it makes a statement on what Kishi thought was truly important because he gave it the spotlight. Even Neji is in the background here.

It can't become old news when its being recently depicted by the mangaka, months after the actual chapter was released.

Right. Kishimoto loves calling Sakura the heroine, but hasn't shown it AT ALL in FOREVER. We all know she has tons of room for development, and I would hate if Kishi waits till the very end to do it all, because then some of it would seem too forced.

I'm with you on that! To be honest, I don't really care about pairings anymore. I'm so indifferent now, it's surprising. All I want from Kishimoto is for Sakura to get a moment that she can call her own. Something that doesn't have to do with Team Seven, or Sasuke, or jealousy, whatever. I just want to see her protecting her important people and acting like the heroine that she was meant to be. I would be happy with just that.

Covers capture the importance of the passing events within the few chapters they display, obviously this is for naruto and hinata but remember that moment is very short, does not help the case that the inside of the book has Hinata just glossing over nejis death and thinking about hand holding, geez only lee mourned it with anything important, what many did not like about that chapter was how Hinata just made an important speech then just goes about thinking of narutos hand, that's just ruining it right there and making it seem like Neji was a stepping stone for one brief moment, then comes the chakra event, moment over.

Yes but all those ninja behind them are glowing which indicates kyuubi chakra cloak right? Hinata is being acknowledged by Naruto and given his protection just like everyone else...Like all his other comrades...showing her up close is just closure to her character development.
Yeah, why not focus on the handhold it's an attention grabbing technique that will get people to stop and pick up the manga out of curiosity. Those who aren't caught up on the manga in both ships will look at the cover and go WTH! and pick up just to see whats up with the cover.

Trust me I'm not going to say that it makes me happy to see but neither did the RtN teasers with naruhina and sasusaku...and we all know how that turned out.

He probably drew this when he finished with the volume - months ago when those chapters were being released. It takes time to publish a volume. Trust me, this is old news.

you're right.. I remember that it was spoken in a databook/artbokk/interview or something... After you've finished the volume, you need to check it, fix some possible errors and talks with editor about the cover... All this request some time. I remember an old news from OP where it said that Oda drawn the volumes cover immediately after he finished the last chapter of each volume.

this is the feeling of nh fan after chapter 450. they got a confension and then sakura hug when it "logically" hinata who should do that.

The panel of them holding hands was apparently a big enough deal that Kishimoto decided to put it on the cover; if he'd just been trying to stir up pairing drama, why not draw Naruto with both Hinata and Sakura? Why repeat what's already happened in the volume--but with added focus and detail?

One other interesting thing to think about is how far ahead Kishimoto is compared to where we are in the manga. I doubt that Kishimoto is working on chapter 625 or even 626 right now. I bet he finished those ages ago. He's probably 4 or 5 chapters ahead of what Shounen Jump is releasing, and purposely stays ahead of them so that when he needs a break, he can take one without having to worry about his publishers being on his back. It also provides time for "tweaking".

Everyone was talking about how the Senjuu armor is just like what Sakura is wearing here. It's likely that Kishimoto was working on one of the flashback chapters when he decided to draw this color spread. The Senju clan's gear influenced him and resulted in a Samurai style color spread. Makes sense, doesn't it? Especially given how similar Sakura's outfit is to the Senju's. It's almost a replica.

This makes me curious about what Kishimoto is currently working on. I wonder if he's already returned to the Alliance fight...

ups sorry if i make you upset, what i mean we as a pairing fan tend to bias just like nh and ss. as for now nh has the upperhand with all the focus they get. but we still has the card and that's naruto confension. i think is not coincidence when we get a chapter who emphasize the (one side) romantic love name chapter 559. sorry my engrish is bad

Which signifies what exactly? That Naruto was picked up in the middle of a battle by a comrade? I don't suppose that means much of anything to a "pairing war."
