Yup, let's wait and see. I hope Kishi will be able to fix his consistency. Sakura has been the one keeping Naruto on the line all the while now, even in RtN movie, she still has her role. Now, out of sudden it's been taken away ;( that or Kishi is planning something bigger for her. She isn't perfect, that's for sure, unlike the other girl... But surprisingly, that imperfection is what makes her character attachable.

I'll keep my expectation low though... If Kishi could pull something as grand as RtN, in terms of Sakura's role, I'd be more than pleased...

You know, something says me that Kishi made RTN only to pleasure us, a kind of "apologize" regarding our fandom about what will happen in the manga.... I fear about this. If it's really so, well... I'm very disappointed.... Play with our feelings and deceive us isn't funny putting Sakura along Naruto in his adventure with his parents..... Also because our fandom is very big.

and yeah Oro's return was pretty obvious I may not like everything he does but he's quite good at foreshadowing future events.

I agree, but I couldn't convince my friends.

What Hinata is doing right now has been foreshadowed not too long ago so I don't see why people are surprised there's so much focus on her right now, it has been just 2 chapters and only one of them was really Hinata centric, but contrary to you as forced as it was I enjoyed her this chapter and I think Kishi did a good job since a long time with her character.

I think my utter dislike of Hinata made it impossible for me to see the events of #614 and #615 coming, or at least taking the form they did. I believed Hinata's foreshadowed development was at hand once I read #614, but I still didn't see the form it would take. In #614 I was pleased that Hinata finally seemed to be standing on her own and as a ninja, but then she spoiled it at the end with her fangirling. That's part of what seemed forced to me, but I've since reconsidered somewhat, and see it more as continuity in her characterization than I did before.

I dont think so, he cant put hinata it does not fit, i cant see Naruto asking Hinata for a date, i dont think he made RTN for apology i dont think Hinata can fit what Sakura did and represent on the movie.
Like i said let's wait the next chapters before a conclusion.

Hinata got a conclusion to her character because she does not need him anymore, she can walk with her own legs, she have her own determination.
She took Naruto's ninja way, when before she was only "Naruto-kun".
Which is what everyone wanted didnt it?
It was annoying because Naruto always had to boost her confidence up, but now she does not need it anymore.

To add, Hinata still does not know Naruto, and neither understands him, and the "burden" he must carry and never will understand this because it's not her character.
Who is getting this development is Sakura, at least it's how a see it, the next chapters will be determinant so i'll wait, i'm hoping she does not steal the Obi/Rin parallel.

I doubt so. Putting a name in a product is a serious business, as I mentioned before in RtN thread. Kishi also stated that the ideas in the movie are those that he was trying to put in the manga, but haven't got any chance to do so. Although he specifically didn't mention which ones.

If he indeed wanted to end NS and replace it with NH and SS, then there should be an explanation to it, and it should be done gracefully without contradicting 10+ years of NS development and other byproducts such as RtN, other Naruto movies with NS moments, Naruto novels and Uniclo OVA.

Now that is very true! If it was to come like that, it'd be kinda disappointing if Hinata took Sakura's place in the Obito/Rin parallel, since you'd think she'd see that Sakura loves Naruto, be it platonic or romantic, from how she hugged him after the battle with Nagato/Pain.

I don't really think Naruto's regressed as a character. One of the reasons why he's so convicted in Part 1 is because he was part of a smaller world. In a way, he was a sheltered and naive character. He was never seriously challenged by his belief until Sasuke and the Valley of the End duel.

Come Part 2, he comes into contact with the larger world, and the hardships he faces now that he has a greater connection with people as friends and families, gives him a hard slap in the face on the reality of things. I also think that, now, he's breaking down from the burden he placed on his own shoulders, ie. ending the Shinobi system, trying to bring back Sasuke, trying to prevent his friends from dying only to fail, etc. I don't know if people remember that he's still a teenager, and we all know what teenagers are like.

Of course, I'm not trying to say that Naruto is a weak person who needs to be held up all the time, just that confident, hyper-active, goofy Naruto has always been a facade to hide the loneliness he faced, and now it's a facade to hide the fact that he may be suffering a serious PTSD.

This, just this. I have never liked Hinata, ever. When she was first introduced I knew instantly that I would never have feelings for her, and to this day its still true. Just like the Plain White T's say hate is a strong word but I really really really dont' like you, yeah sorry Hinata. Personally I see her as the only character out of the rookie 12 that never grew on me, except in annoyance but then again this is just how I feel. The events in 615 look like fan pleasing to me. I mean if Hinata was ultimately going to play such a big part in the manga Kishi should have spent more time on her from the very beginning. Her relationship with Naruto should have flourished but no instead he builds Sakura and Naruto's relationship, and for what!? Hinata goes and steals the lime light, and Neji was used as a sacrifice. What's ever worse is that Naruto's character and Sakura's have seemed to have regressed :/ Naruto almost falling for Obito's trick was pure BS, and Sakura just gawking at Naruto and Hinata is just as worse. Over all I still hold hope that all this will blow over just like the confession did. If not and NH becomes canon I will stop reading the manga all together. Not because of my hatred for NH but because Kishi is going all Stephenie Meyer on us (Author of Twilight) I won't give anything away on her last book but god was she a major fan pleaser. She ruined everything by trying to giving everyone a happy ending and that ultimately killed the series. I guess all we do know is wait.

Yeah but I would rather have her gone. Hearing NH should have happened with her alive would still be annoying to hear from fans, because Hinata would still be around. If she had died instead of Neji that's it game over fans can say what they want to but she'd ultimately be gone for good.Then again Kishi could go all Disney on us and have the fallen come back to life :/ I'm just upset that Neji had to die D:

IT REMINDS ME OF AVATAR.

alot of people wanted katara and zuko to get together even though, there was no evidence or proof that they even liked each other that way.......in fact for some time they disliked each other.

katara always cared for aang the most, there was tons of development and it made too much sense.

well when kataraXaang happened zukoXkatara fans were upset.


so legend of korra comes around (the new avatar series) and the creators practically make a zukoXkatara 2.0 pairing with korra(the heroine) and mako (the love interest) and just made it happen at the end of the season.

problem is....it was way to fast....seemed forced....and they had to break 2 characters hearts and cheat just to make it. it still doesn't make much sense to me......mako literally had to dump an awesome girlfriend who he had no trouble and was happy with...and korra had to reject a nice, fun guy who liked her for herself and didn't try to change her. (and i didn't even ship anyone, thats how i saw it)


reason??? i felt it was because the creators were trying to please those zukoxmako fans........but it ended up horrible...

now the majority hate the mako and some even hate korra because of it......all for love.

sorry for all those makkora shippers here (didn't mean to point fingers)

Sorry I was just itching to reply to this last night but I feel asleep . I've always been a Zutara shipper and still am (I feel like I'm the only NaruSaku shipper who ships it though ). Zutara isn't really that "random" of a pairing actually in the Avatar Extras for Book one it was stated that:
