Hmmm...Yuki/Tohru/Kyo from Fruits Basket is pretty famous because fans have lots of clashing opinions about it, C.C./Lelouch/Kallen is great...I also count a bunch of the teams in Naruto, including parallels and stuff...and...that's all I can think of off the top of my head at the moment.

Love triangle? Well I'm not very experienced with anime yet but of course the Inuyasha x Kikyo x Kagome was a famous one. For TV shows, Smallville had Lana x Clark x Lex for most of the seasons until Season Seven. And my personal favorite ... Angel x Buffy x Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer . It's not seen a lot but he still needs to be resolved at some point. It's probably the only Love Triangle I have actually ever liked XD. Maybe because I co-ship ?

And The Vampire Diaries. Definite great one. Really dramatic . I'm in love with that one too XD, simply because it reminds me of the Buffy one .

Like I do with Buffy the Vampire Slayer, I support both Stelena and Delena. At first I completely shipped Stelena because he seemed to be better for her than Damon in the beginning(I mean, come on. Damon killed her damn brother just because she rejected him!). But I became more of a Delena fan in Season 3 because he showed a selflessness and devotion towards her despite his bad boy exterior. Started out Stelena, then Delena, now both XD.

The ironic thing to me is that it happened the exact same way to me in Buffy. Started out full-blown Bangel for most of the series. Season 6 Spuffy intrigued me but also pissed me off to an extent, Season 7 came around and I was shocked to realize that I wouldn't be terribly upset if Spike/Buffy became canon. Their interactions were just so sweet . So I ship both Angel/Buffy and Spike/Buffy . They're also both vampire shows XD.

I usually always hate Love Triangles. The Inuyasha one for example and now the current Naruto one between Sakura, Sasuke, and Naruto. I never bring myself to like rival pairings of my OTP, which is why The Vampire Diaries and Buffy surprised me .

I'm not into as into X-men as I am with Naruto but still I love Shadowcat/Colossus , Rogue/Gambit(it's soooo smexy ), Jean/Scott and Shadowcat/Nightcrawler is so cute . Shadowcat/Iceman is okay too but I just don't like it as much as the other Shadowcat pairings.

Was X-Men Evolution the show where Shadowcat was with Avalanche? I remember watching it online and wondering who the hell that hot guy was because Avalanche was a such a minor villain in the comic books and looked nothing like him. It was weird because Avalanche in XME looks exactly like Rictor. I actually ended up liking Kitty and him together.

Yeah I agree but the end game is/was KittyxColossus and they even got married in the comics. I remember when Kitty phased the bullet through the world...that was really cool and in the end the x-men found her but when she and colossus went to hug she phased through him because she was stuck like that.

Akihisa is just so...normal. There's nothing special about him to really like...it annoys me when all the girls get interested in that one uninteresting guy in the entire series. Like.........really? I didn't like Yuuji either 'cause I've seen too many characters like him before...the guy who seems all "boring" and "laid-back", but starts acting like a genius out of nowhere; he's such a stereotype. AJD;LGSKASLGKA FFFFFF-!!! You too?!?! Hideyoshi was like...the only guy that was actually cool. He was my fave...I was so obsessed with him; loved all his fanservice and how he had his own gender. XD Idk why, but I just love those girly looking bishounen with girls as their voice actors.

These are the pairings I've always supported. I'm curious if I'm the only one here that watched the different Megaman Anime and knew about the pairings. Plus the Lan/Mayl one is canon in the games, the last game battle network 6 ended with a little 20 years later text thing after the credits where they got married and had a son named Patch. Wish they would have shown what patch looks like. I loved Megaman StarForce though, that Megaman was extremely overpowered. one of his ultimate forms in the 3rd game could create a black hole and then he slashes through it taking out any enemies not sucked into it. and then in the sidestory of that game he had to fight an enemy controlling a black hole and actually survived while in it lol. Plus since he's made of electomagnetic waves he can pass through stuff like a ghost changing the density of his body at will, can circle the planet in seconds, can go inside devices to fix them, can breath underwater and in outer space, doesn't have to worry about being hungry, doesn't time out of his megaman form, etc. As for why I like Geo/Sonia, they have been through a lot together like Naruto and Sakura,Geo lost his dad in outer space (astronaut) and thought he was dead( later find out in the 3rd game he's been alive this whole time fighting this crazy digital dragon inside a meteor heading for earth(he's only alive because he met Geo's alien,the friend he merges with to become megaman,and he turned him into a being made of electro magnetic waves like megaman) and only had his mom and sonia didn't have anyone except her mom and she died so she sings songs for her mom(so yeah, a lot in common),they even fight together , Geo as Megaman, Sonia as Harp note. The only other big pairing in that series is Geo/Luna and Luna is basically a crazy fangirl and only likes Geo for being Megaman, she's almost a yandere, she even got controlled by one of the aliens and turned into a villain at times.

I'm not into shipping, AT ALL. Shipping usually involves people's own preference, not what is shown on the actual material of the subject. There are some people whom ship a certain pairing because it produces better fan art and fan fiction. If I'm going to ship something, I would ship something that I either know WILL HAPPEN (because I know that was the story that was meant to be told), or something that I feel an end pairing will NOT HAPPEN.

This is why I'm more open about people shipping comic pairings, because I know that the storylines for comics will mostly likely never end, or they will just revamp and start anew. That way people can ship any pairing they want, as long as there is sense in logic of it possibly happening at one point, because most likely or not a writer will temporary may that pairing happen. For those who shipped Superman with Wonder Women, than you are in good luck, because DC Universe just made them a couple. See, the possibilities for comics in terms of shipping are lot more grander and flexible.

But even then, I usually support the pairings that are usually the character's MAIN LOVE INTEREST. I strongly support Spider-Man with Mary Jane, and Green Lantern with Carol Ferris. But there are other pairings I support that may cause some more controversy among other comic book fans. Like I strongly support Nightwing with Batgirl (Barbara Gordon), over the more popular Nightwing/Starfire pairing.

But for most other media, including anime/manga, they don't have those endless possibility. Usually they only have one ending, meaning that only certain character(s) will be with certain character(s) in the end. And that's it, so why would I ship anything that wont happen. I rather ship something that I see the story going to. If I ship anything else, then why would I do something against the stories wishes? If I don't like the pairing that the story is supporting, than I wont ship any thing. Even if I do like the idea of an other pairing happening, I wont support it because there will be no point. You may argue that you could still enjoy the shipping, but how can I enjoy other, improbable shippings if that isn't the way series is supporting. I'm also against looking at fan art or fan fiction of other pairings, because it just makes me feel......awkward. Heck, I still feel awkward seeing Narusaku fan art, because I know they haven't gotten together in the manga yet.

But I'm alright shipping for pairings in series that I either feel like I know an end pairing wont happen, or when I believe romance does not play a part of the story at all. But the only example I could think of that I support that fits that description is Ash/Misty from Pokemon. Now, I don't think the series will ever show Ash get with someone in the end (and if they do, and it's not Misty, than I would be VERY PISSED OFF), nor do I ever think the anime will ever go a romantic route with the main characters (outside the occasional episodes). With that said, I support that pairing because I like their dynamic, I enjoy there bickering. I also enjoy the occasional scenes where they actually show concern for each other (remember that Ghost episode, where Ash pointed out that Misty was getting teary eyed because she thought he was gone).

I'm not into a lot of anime, though I am a big fan of Dragonball Z, Pokemon (season 1), and, of course, Naruto. There's others (like Saint Seiya, YuYu Hakusho, Mobile Fighter G Gundam (mild Domon/Rain shipper), etc...), but most of those were shows I used to watch when I was a pre-teen, when Toonami was cool. But my perspective of anime pairings were usually form around the idea of being either terribly written (Saint Seiya), not important (Dragonball Z), not existent (most likely Pokemon), the main character is already with someone (Yu Yu Hakusho, come on they were pretty much a couple in the beginning of the series), or just simply something that isn't reveal at until the end (Gundam). While there some common ground between some anime, like the tsundre concept, but I wasn't never really particularly into anime pairings. Even the one's I do like, like Ash/Misty or Domon/Rain, I only ship because of the things I've mention before; that pairings are most likely never going to happen in that series (Pokemon) or they have already happen (Gundam).

Besides, shipping opposing pairings can often lead into stupid pairing wars. While I'm alright with other people shipping different kinds of pairings of the same show, it is when people start arguing that one pairing will become cannon over an other that leads to splits among fans. That's why I didn't originally support Narusaku when I first came online, cause that will mean I would had to choose side. But now I'm to far gone, I have choose a side, and now enjoy this pairing a great deal. I just hope I choose right side.

If you feel like I'm against shipping, I'm kind of I'm , even though I do ship some my pairings myself. But it doesn't mean I think other people should stop shipping because I don't like it. If you like shipping, including shipping crack pairings, then good for you . Do whatever you want, but just be careful with what pairings you like and what pairings you actually believe will become cannon. Also be careful with the type of people you argue with about pairings.



Oh, I forgot to talk about TV shows, movies, and videogames pairings. Well for movie and TV shows they are usually predictable (with the occasional twist, like the Wonder Years and How I Met Your Mother), while videogames outside of the Final Fantasy series are generally non existent or just plain old suck (*cough* Leon/Ada from the Resident Evil series*cough*). Though I'm sure there are plenty of other examples of decent romance in games, but probably none I've played or cared to remember.

She's Shouko, I think. Do I ship anything? Um...well, my favorite pairing in Baka and Test is Hideyoshi/Me Akihisa/Minami. I don't really like Himeji. She's too much of a stereotypical, goody-goody, big-breasted, moe little girl that guys just can't get enough of...mostly 'cause of her ridiculous amount of fanservice. She's the kinda character you can't hate, but who you get sick of appearing everywhere...like Moka from Rosario + Vampire. I like Minami a lot more because HOW COULD YOU NOT BLEEPING LIKE HER?! TSUNDERETSUNDERETSUNDERE! she's a lot more realistic, outgoing, and isn't a Mary Sue. I think she deserves her Aki. :3 Also support Yuuji/Shouko, since I think Shouko deserves it. Might sound a little strange, but I also ship Hideyoshi with his sister Yuuko. I love both of them.

Why I don't like it? I guess I can explain though if it'll probably be a little long (Not nearly as long SasuSaku would be though ) Ok then:

1. Lack of development: NaruHina, as a whole, has not truly been seen to interact enough for me to find it a believable, developed couple. Hinata loves Naruto but she never hangs out with him outside of missions. Sakura and Naruto do often, especially after Pain destroyed the village. If Naruto and Hinata's bond, friendship or otherwise would be seen more often than it is, I'd like it much more. This of course wouldn't happen because Hinata is a side character but I just don't see much depth in it besides ' Hinata likes Naruto, Naruto acknowledged her as a comrade.' The NaruHina fans obviously disagree with this but I don't know what manga they're reading that shows Hinata & Naruto's connection is deeper than Sakura/Naruto's bond. I just can't see it nor can I understand it.

2. Unrealism: Hinata liking a guy who never notices her is realistic and frequently happens in life. But here's the part that makes me believe NaruHina is very unrealistic. She has always admired Naruto and sees him as her role model. He motivates her to be stronger and more confident as a person. Aww factor right there, I admit. But what I can never fathom about Hinata's apparent love for him is how sudden and almost idolization she has of him. I mean, look at the manga: How many panels have we seen of Hinata and Naruto together? 7? 8? The rest have just been her watching him from afar. Hinatadoes not know her so-called love on a deep and personal level. In fact, it's debatable whether she even knows the importance of Sasuke to him. It's clear she doesn't know Naruto likes Sakura (Okay, how can Naruto's #1 fan not know that obvious fact? Most people who know Naruto know this. Look at the crowd during Sakura's confession for crying loud! ). Anyway, the point is Hinata truly doesn't know Naruto as well as some people think. All she knows is that he was failure as a child but has determination that she wish she had. Anything else? That only scratches the surface of him. This is why I prefer Sakura for his future lover. She knows and understands him far better than Hinata could even dream of. That's a fact.

3. Hinata's Personality: I know NaruHina is such a popular pairing in the west because Hinata is a character Americans can easily sympathize with. In turn, sympathy eventually turns into a desire to have her get what she wants so she can be happy. Behold: NaruHina fanbase is born. I, on the other hand, I sympathize with her bad childhood but not to that extent. Honestly, I'm completely indifferent to her and I have no investment whatsoever in her winning over Naruto. I am biased but I'm Naruto AND Sakura biased. I want Naruto to be with the one he loves and raise his own family after the lonely childhood he had to endure simply because happiness like that is well-deserved. Hinata should be happy as well in the end, but she's not the main character. To put it simply, the woman Naruto loves and would like to marry someday is not some pale-eyed, dark-haired shy girl. It's a aggressive, pink-haired, green-eyed girl (A.K.A. Sakura Haruno). Sakura I want too be happy almost as much as Naruto and I do not see her happiness with Sasuke. All he causes her is shame, sadness, and incompetence. Naruto makes her happy and it's blatantly clear she is on the road to completely falling in love with him. Both my fav characters will be happy when NS becomes canon and that's all I really care about.


4. Interactions: Naruto/Hinata moments are painfully awkward and incredibly dull. I can't even picture those two having a comfortable, long-drawn out conversation. They just don't click or even have the proper chemistry for a romantic relationship. Hinata's too ... wallflower-y and quiet for someone as rambuctious and confident as Naruto. Friendship of course but romance? Naruto needs a strong, forceful woman in his life, especially when he becomes Hokage. Hinata just can't keep up with him unless she develops the confidence and aggression of Sakura. Naruto and Sakura share many similarities, more than Hinata does with him. It's also been shown that Sakura is one of the only people who can bluntly express her opinion without no reservations. Naruto will always be stubborn and occassionally come up with stupid solutions that will only lead to being reckless. Naruto I don't think would listen very well to someone like Hinata or at least it would be much more difficult. Sakura is forthright and has no problem being blunt or even harsh with him when the time calls for it. He honestly needs someone like that, which is also why I support NS. Hinata's just cannot do that like she can.

5. Story Theme: NaruHina happening in canon would throw the entire theme off course and into something random and misplaced. After all the emphasis on Naruto surpassing the previous, romance being one of them thanks to the NS parallels and Jiraiya's last regrets it wouldn't make any sense. Hinata is getting her wish which is just nonsensical. The manga is named Naruto, not Hinata. I think some fans forget this.


All my reasons why NaruHina is my 2nd hated Naruto pairing for the canon story. I'm sure many NaruSaku fans share these thoughts XD.

Welcome . I believe those are the most frequent reasons for NaruHina being hated. I don't hate it as complete couple but for the canon story, definitely. It would just ruin the entire romance department if it happened. Same with SasuSaku.
