It's depressing that there aren't more JRPGs on the ps3. I hear Tales of Graces F is supposed to come out later this year though.
On another note, just got done playing Portal 2 co-op for the first time. Have to say I had a really good time. Had a really good partner despite being randomly picked. Didn't get to do the last section though. He had to leave.

Japans games industry in general is pretty anemic these days, it's not just JRPGs.
Ask him how he's enjoying the hundred fifty dollar wireless adapter, controller charging cord and online multiplayer he had to pay for. Also ask him if he's had the pleasure of having his system be one of the fifty percent that fail. If he persists, name a bunch of games you got for that two fifty you saved that he was forced to blow (plus the sixty dollars yearly).
The funny thing is I've played online on both thanks to Live trials; they're both pretty much the same in quality of experience, one just charges.
