tbh I don't think that moment matters anymore. Ofcourse that confession was real at that point she had a huge crush on Sasuke.
The resent confession to Naruto was just as real but as wrong as the reasons were for her confession to Sasuke (her fangirlism) so justiced are here reasons for confessing to Naruto.

All that besides; she does seem to have a problem with the timing of her confessions (seriously you need to work on that Sakura-chan).

yea its like when she confesses shes also trying to keep that person from doing something dangerous but i think I will believe it more if she does it when they arent in danger and stuff. or she just admits it right off the bat :o

I heard many people say that Sakura realised her feelings when Yamato was about to tell her that he could see that she really l... Naruto.

But I start to think that it was a little bit before that (rewatched the episodes recently) and I would say at the point where Naruto in 4t-kyuubi mode was smashed in the ground by Orochimaru's sword and she realised just how much she hated to see Naruto drive himself so far to keep a promise that he made because of her.

Just saying this because this discussion seems to have fallen down a bit and I don't think this has been mentioned before.

Well I actually forgot to put almost in front of kissed.

And it was a metaphor. She fell in love with that person, she just think it's Sasuke, when in reality it was Naruto.

well Kushina found her soulmate its only right that Naruto takes after his father and says it to Sakura. after all this development you don't think shes gonna find out eventually? i can't wait tell we see sakuras face when its revealed

And that's why I don't think that confession was real. She was willing to drop everything for him? I call bull. Now if she thought that without him she might not have a purpose or something to distract her, then I can believe it a little bit more.

I think, though, what Soupy's trying to get across applies to this: she wasn't necessarily willing to drop everything for him; whatever (purely?) psychological or subconscious reasons she may have had for being attracted to Sasuke didn't matter during the confession. She was a twelve year-old girl that had been emotionally pushed and pushed because of the circumstances involving the boy she liked (for whatever reasons, that's another debate I think), and was suddenly faced with said boy up and leaving. She didn't have the emotional capacity she does as an older teen now; the more she talked to him, the more she realized she wasn't getting through and he was leaving. I think she was in enough of an emotional mess that her only thought during the whole thing was to keep him there to maintain some sort of equilibrium in her life.

....I feel like I've just run in circles and not made much sense; if that's the case, sorry. It's been a long day at school XD;;

Add to that, that they almost kissed while Sakura thought it was a genuine kiss by her first love. And she will be even angrier for beeing tricked in almost kissing Naruto.

It needs to come to light in some sort of difficult situation; perhaps a fight (like in shouting and such) between Naruto and Sakura, perhaps at another confession of Sakura and Naruto still not thinking of it as a genuine confession tells him he's hurt and that she hasn't had the feeling of feeling all alone (he better not walk up to me if he says anything like that:p), at which she replies that she has been an outcast for a while because of her huge forehead and starts crying. I could see that. Naruto of course would be upset about hurting her feelings though. I mean, it would natural. Naruto would probably not want to speak to her for a while. Eventually the two would talk and it would lead to the eventual kiss. (Faints at realization that it would happen.) I hope.

In all honesty, I think Sakura is still very much confused about who she's in love with right now.

Bear in mind that Sakura was always a dreamer, and that she suffered through Sasuke's hard words for the entirety of the first half and still proclaimed her love for him at the end. Why do you suddenly think that that love wavered in part 2? The first reunion that Sakura's had with Sasuke lasted barely a few minutes, and Sasuke didn't treat her all that different than when he'd left. Sakura had no reason to fall out of love with him, because she still saw Sasuke as his former self. Barely the second time when she saw him (and when he tried to kill her twice and proved just how much of a jerk he was) was when she realized that the current Sasuke is not the cool boy she had a crush on.

What I'm trying to say is, it's unrealistic to think that Sakura has fallen out of love with Sasuke just because she was separated from him for so long (Don't get me wrong, SasuSaku is my least favorite pairing of the big three). It's not however unrealistic to say that her feelings for Naruto have taken a romantic turn. I think she does love Naruto (not as a brother or something like that), but I also think that she was still in love with Sasuke at the time of the confession. And I also think that after her second reunion with Sasuke, is where Sakura finally started to loose faith in him and fall out of love with him, because he was no longer the person she'd fallen in love with in the first place.

And I also think that those shattered feeling that remained for Sasuke are what's keeping her from fully falling in love with Naruto. In my opinion, she has to let go of Sasuke first (not as a friend, but as a lover), in order to be able to fully love Naruto the way he deserves to be loved.

I think she loved Naruto for a long time — just not necessarily the type of love that I know think. Now I think she's IN love with him :P probably since, hm, I think when he went Kyūbi and Yamato almost spilled the beans, oh, definitely when she was told Naruto loves her, too.
