What if things really turn out like the RTN movie? Like, Madara taking Sakura a hostage and then Naruto fights the main Madara and Sasuke playing the role which Itachi played in the movie.

I don't think he would've made the movie like this if it were to happen in the manga as well.

Do you mean to say that the same type of scene would unfold? As in, Sasuke is injured or for some reasons he cannot save Sakura and then Naruto unleashes his full potential and saves Sakura?

Just not having Sakura be put in the same damsel situation because of inconvenience and main character defeats big baddie. I just think it's beneath her now.

Gosh! Its really a big mystery how things are going to unfold in the next chapter. How about Sakura unleashes the Byakugou and the chakra road instead of going through her, breaks at the moment of contact? Much like how Naruto broke Pain's chakra road using Sage mode and frog kumite.

I still remember the day of the movie release in Japan. It was like a Thanksgiving Parade, something unexpected but hell, we needed it. It's all because we took the bait of fans and even ads that this movie will have mixture of romance, perhaps being overshadowed by non-NS. But, man, did it backfire hard. You can actually archive it and check 2012 around late July. We were all happy. Not more than 631 or even early 2014 moments, but we were like Gaara's MS translation, drink is on me. I remember I was glued to NF because one person saw the movie and reported it to them. I asked her if the movie did really contain NS and such. At first, she said only one interaction happened, but she got mixed up with NaruSasu. So once one user told her that, she corrected her mistakes and said, all the way through. Funny, because couple of haters were like:

Oh, and don't get me started with Japanese audience. We had so many fanarts, even from SS fans. I'll tell you one thing though. It was hell for non-NS. I still remember the reactions. It was the Incredible Hulk level.

I actually can't wait to see that again when NS becomes official lol (not saying that it will be for sure yet but nonetheless). By the way do the Japanese make their movies based on the popularity only in their country or from also other countries as well? Cause if RTN was popular for the pairing fandom over there would it be possible they could discuss another movie revolving around Naruto and Sakura??

RTN did revolve around Naruto and Sakura, not sure if the next film Kishi makes will be the same.
 
All we know is that he loves NS almost as much as the fans do (Road to Ninja and the Blood Prison novel)

Hmmm yes but since RTN was already focused on NS then it would be best if the next movie focused on NS a little but would mainly be concerned with Team 7 as whole in the plot.

I know movies are non-canon, but you can't really break characters until you acknowledge it as an spinoff or alternative spin on it. The only condition to be made is have Sasuke come back to Konoha in the manga before the movie release. So, that won't work unless you could do a reason for it to happen, much like bond movie.

Yeah exactly cause if they were to focus the next movie on team 7 interactions then it should happen around after the fourth ninja war arc when they beat Madara in the anime. Each of the shippuden movies always come out right after a certain event happens from the series in the anime....
Shippuden movie 1: after the two year skip
Bonds: Naruto's 4th tail transformation
Will of fire: Asuma's death and Rasen shuriken
The Lost Tower: Minato revealed to be Naruto's father
Blood Prison: Naruto's Sage mode training
RTN: project tsuki no me revealed and Naruto's relationship Kurama changed after their fight

So it would make sense that they would make the movie (if they made it for team 7) to be around the final arc in the anime series lol

Yes I remember that too ahah! Right after the first trailers, they kept saying that this was going to be "Kishi's movie" because of the SS and NH scenes.

In the end they were right, it was Kishimoto's movie ;)
