Well, Ban's story went up in last 5 or so chapters, much more intresting than before.

42 volumes... that's a lot O_o

You think he is really dead? I'm pretty sure it's not gonna be the last time we'll see him, but I think his presence and role will have shifted.

It's Ace or nothing. I do think now that it's played and if it occur again, it won't be as effective, so this can only happen once. That said I'll be surprised if it's the former. If not, well I hope there's a good escape goat that is well for the plot.

He's about to be eaten. Though the way they did it seems like "dummy!" moment like a backfire moment, but we'll see soon. The next chapter can play enough of that he's gone for good until the end surprise, or someone will take the fall instead and that will be the farewell from that person, or he will really die to have AHK wanting King still to die but it will do.

So, we will learn soon. I hope it's not the first one for Shounen bait and switch trope, but we'll see. I can't help but imagine the soul will start beating down. Remind me of Vegeto as a chocolate ball beat down.

So, I'm looking around and see- somewhat- disappointed faces that Osomatsu-san didn't have any more parodies in episode 2. But that was to be expected b/c parodies is not Osomatsu-san's main focus anyways. Episode 1 was just bait.

 

Meanwhile, I am wondering: "Why the hell just not watch Gintama that lives off on parodies?! You've had a series out there that was doing parodies and comedy for years now. You guys are missing out!"

Yeah, not that I follow but it is rather telling when the rating went down at MAL.

Well, personally, I always find Gintama ahead of its league of parody because it just executed well and sometimes, you wouldn't need that to be funny. That's why I commented it that Gintama can do it alone as well because well, Sorachi is just one smart gorilla.

Are you referring to the next episode? I'm wondering if they are going to back to other chapters, because there are plenty to cover. That said I wonder if that chapter that they're planning to skip will be used something else or they will really drop that one. That or they could save it for a special. I actually thought they skipped a chapter a long time ago, until I found out they used it for Jump Festa, which fit more for anime universe.

Anyway, I don't know if we are jumping to "that", but I hope not. Not just for being not ready, but hope not to skip other stories.

I hope we are misunderstanding, because they have been jumping arcs before so this wouldn't surprise me. If they plan to end at the 3rd cour, then they are going for it. I see it more ending at the 4th cour, so I'm hoping that's the case. Unless they're going to find a way to have a cool down between two serious arcs, but that seems hard to even do it. They literally connect to each other. Let's just hope we are misunderstanding.
