I have gotten tire from saying it so many times. What Hinata has for Naruto is admiration nothing more. She has some seriou hero worship towards that can be mistaken by infatuation or love. But fans like sawyer7mage and VJ87G will deny this in a heartbeat, hell even members from this forum will deny it too. What's the NH fan's counter argument? "Kishi didn't made the relationship chart so the information is fake".

It's the same argument of saying Sakura doesnt love Sasuke because it's a childish crush.
Sakura loves Sasuke and Hinata loves Naruto.
What downplays Hinata and NH is that Naruto genuinely loves Sakura and to make things worse for Hinata she only becomes relevant when it's something related with Naruto and always end with a platonic tone.
And their meaningfull moments aren't reciprocated, 615 only Hinata had romantic thoughts, her confession on pain arc had zero impact on Naruto's feelings because he still loved Sakura.

In short NH doesnt trigger any dramatic moment the only chance Kishimoto had was on 615 where he could have left ambiguous but he confirmed Naruto's feelings on 632 and with it any chance NH had of becoming part of the pairings drama was brushed aside.

yeah, i'm not sure whether he implied it on his youtube or tumblr, but he said something like he moved on, he wasn't very invested in shipping anyway.

 

i know a nh fan from another forum who also lose his faith in nh pairing too, because he thinks hinata tripping and sakura giving the kiss of life to naruto is no coincidence and he is also annoyed by the constant ship-tease.

Well it surely gets tiring at a point, no matter from which fandom you are... and no matter the result, heh.

I feel amused at people who complains about cliche on Jump's stories, it's always the same thing(Friendship, battles and Nakama) recicled.

I liked Naruto and Hinata, then Kishimoto made Hinata trip. Life is full of disappointments, so I moved on. The best (or the healthiest) relationships in the series for me are Minato/Kushina and Shikamaru/Temari.

Hanabi@ giving up on your favorite pairing and putting it on hold are two different things. I seriously doubt sawyer has given up on NH he's probably like the rest of the fandom patiently waiting for Hinata to make an appearance (if she hasn't woken up from kissing the ground yet). At any rate I highly will appear again, at least until the end of the war.

I believe (my opinion) that Kishi don't see the same way as we do when taking NH in consideration. I know he wrote that confession, but I don't think he wants us to be heavily invested in it. Otherwise, many opinions, mainly that latest bond books, shouldn't have Hinata in encouragement. To this day, I still believe that 450 is the burial.

Your argument doesn't work there, since as you know Kishi didn't write that book, so it doesn't prove his opinion about NH.

Exactly. We weren't supposed to take NH as a romantic pairing.

But this is where the problems occurs because some people instantly watched Hinata's "love" towards Naruto and assumed that NH is going to happen, without any signs of it happening. And they will continue to argue against anyone who thinks differently. Even the writer himself.

Seriously I don't think Kishi was playing with the fans when he made Hinata tripped. My opinion is that he was making a point when he draw that scene. He wanted to prove that Hinata is not the heroine of the story, that she's not Naruto's love interest. Sakura is all of the above whether the anti Sakura fans like it or not. This is probably an answer from his response of the 2009 Jump Festa interview "you say Hinata Hinata, I say she's not Hinata".

I've gotten to the point that I don't know if the pairing drama really is bad or we make it bad by being overzealous about it. Between negative comments, people always seeing the worst in scenes, hyping one things and downplaying others, and purposely trying to make others feel that negativity too despite people wanting to enjoy it is really starting to show more and more as days go by. Really, if I wanted this I'll go to Naruto Base.

I am tired of this whole "Well, it is obviously this negative way and if you don't take it that way, then you are not reading the manga right." Some of you I swear it's like you have never read any other manga besides Naruto.

-Okay, I don't see any real downright denial, but even then how many times in other manga has the main love interest denied AND still got together with the main hero? I am bringing up Love Hina because it is very similar to this. Narusegawa hit Keitaro a lot and she denied every time someone teased her about her feelings for Keitaro.

Seriously, she says something like this ALOT in the manga and yet still at the end of the series she marries him.

It happens more often than you guys think and any manga avid reader probably has seen this happen in several stories. I would not be surprised to see this in Naruto. Hell, I am watching Sword Art Online for the umteenth time and just watched the episode where Asuna did the same thing. "No way, it is not like that" and yet it is totally like that and every other character knows it.

It is a classic manga trait especially when it comes to Tsundere characters. Why would it not work for Naruto? Why is Naruto automatically taken so differently?

There is nothing wrong with Naruto's and Sakura's relationship. It is actually very well developed and pretty good when really looking at it. The transitions are smooth and their growing love is apparent especially when even other characters are pointing it out. That's pretty sad when we won't acknowledge their relationship and yet, the characters in the manga do it all the time.

I have come to just ignore all NH and SS moments because I realized that they are so forced into the story now that Kishi is just terrible at making effective pairing drama. NH scenes bust in out of nowhere and end up going nowhere. They are one hit notes that never get played again. SS moments make no sense and I doubt we can even call them moments at all since Sasuke has shown not even a bit of caring for Sakura. Not even a shred of humanity for her at all. He doesn't care and at best he only "supports" (and I use this term lightly) her cause she is an asset. A tool to be used. Not because he is romantically involved with her. It is this very reason why NH and SS won't happen because there is no effort into them. Kishimoto hasn't put the same amount of effort into these relationships as he has done NS.

NS is an ever developing coupling that has spawned since the beginning and continues to be touched upon throughout this manga. NS is basically the representation of the manga too. How many advertisements have Naruto and Sakura on them together on both American and Japanese? Lots and lots. Very rare do we see Hinata or Sasuke on them as well.

 

I am sorry some people don't see it this way and it is fine that you don't, but please stop trying to bring everyone else down. Stop trying to convince everyone here that we should just stop supporting NS because you see the bad in everything that comes along. You are not always wrong, but you are not always right either. This is why I am ignoring posts from now on because it is getting to be a broken record now and I can't even take it seriously anymore. That's why I made the thread about the Good, Bad, and Ugly of this manga. Balance.

And 631, Minato actually smiled at Naruto and Sakura's relationship and made the comment that Sakura is just like Kushina. Kushina who ALSO thought her future husband was a dork and stupid and even probably denied her feelings too. I am betting Minato even had a few moments like NS had in 631 which is why it reminded him of it and Minato and Kushina became an official couple.

 

Please, just stop. It's getting bad.

Deep breaths Pepsi, no offense but you don't quite know what you're talking about. James didn't specifically pointed names. He knows what he's talking about and some of us get it. It was about a certain situation overall, not with something/someone specific.
