Well I just watched the dubbed episodes 172-175. Though its the anime there was one thing I found when Naruto was speaking to Nagato about pain.

He said I've experienced bad ones and this is what he thought of:
-His lonliness as a child
-When Sasuke and he clashed and Sasuke ran away
-When he hurt Sakura
-When Jiraya died.

No thoughts on Hinata being steamrolled in this sequence

Oh and it was fun to see the hug scene again

I told you. It made 166, if truly making Hinata for Naruto, completely pointless when they aired that episode. That's why I said the later moment keeps ruining the idea of NH, only to make it a friendship level. This goes for both manga and anime.

Damn, I just scrolled through the NaruSaku tag on tumblr, and everyone is either losing hope in/taking a break from narusaku or they're telling the fans who are losing hope to not give up. It's just sad.

I know how badly our fandom wants this ship to be endgame, but whether how much a ship is close to canon or not, are you really going to stop liking it just because it might not become canon? Would it suck if NaruSaku wasn't endgame? Absolutely. Am I going to stop shipping this couple even if that happens? Hell No. Yes, it would be a disappointment of gigantic proportions if NaruSaku doesn't happen, but their relationship is still wonderful be it romantic or platonic. My OTP AND my BROTP

Just had an idea.. Wouldn't it be great if Minato arrived and addressed Sakura with -chan. It would go like:

Naruto: Dad.. Thanks for everything, I'll definitely surpass you one day.
Minato: Thats right! Your my son after all. Well Naruto.. Sakura-chan.. This is goodbye.. (I swear they look just like Kushina and I when we were young)
Sakura: !! (Sakura-chan.. Just like Naruto) *smiles

SasuSaku

Currently the most canon pairing there is. SasuSaku started off a bit rough, what with Sakura being an absolute pain in the ass in the Chunin Exams. But as Shippuden progressed, she grew stronger, more determined and he also grew. It is one sided, but I think that Kishimoto will spin it into a full fledge pairing. Now that Sasuke is good again and Sakura had steered away from romance between them two, he could see her actual capabilities as a Kunoichi and a woman instead of this rabid weakling he thought she was.

Lol I just saw this too. Seriously, not bashing the fan, rather the thought of this. I mean where was this indicated. Last time I checked NS got all the stuff that a relationship needs to make it work.

Rather narusaku is actually put into the story and runs with the main plot and has all the stuff a good relation needs.

This is getting ridiculous..Sasuke is NOT, I repeat, NOT good yet. He is on the road there, but I believe he has to atleast fight Naruto in order to be redeemed. He is just a little more sane now.

Agreed. Maybe if he say something clearer in the last chapter, we would have know better. To me, I see it as "I'll stop Madara from messing up the village, but that doesn't mean I'll accept them."

What i never understood about their pairing is that they don't try and back it up, they just use their large fandom as some sort of proof :/

Or they either use one chapter as their proof as to why it's now canon and that kishi approves it.

Ughh, that's just not good, they shouldn't be jumping on things when they didn't happen in the manga. As I said before, Perriot is going to run the 615 moment into the ground, what significance it has, they are just going to make it some extremely overdone moment.

Perriot is going to run Hinata's other moment into the ground again, they had to make an entire episode over her getting steamrolled by pain, this is the issue many others have with Hinata, her role is minimal in the manga and yet they try to display it being more important in these extended scenes from the anime. Filler-canon is what people call this stuff, the scenes are centric to a canon event but they are extended for something else. Anyways with this simple hand holding moment or speech, they are going to blow things out of proportion again, extending this scene to be another 20 minutes when it was only about 15 seconds in realtime. They are going to cram it with more flashbacks and memories, stuff even like Naruto totally noticing Hinata yet it would not matter by the manga much later. One entire episode is not enough though, they may cram this into an opening or closing sequence. Its not Hinata we hate, its how the fanbase and even anime developers can overblow her proportions at times, and doing this with another episode on a moment which was not even a chapter just downplays her character even more, this is why many have a hard time adjusting to her character, she is too simplistic, developed in the fillers and anime more, and just seemingly milked anychance the anime team can get. We never see this problem with other popular characters like Sakura, Shikamaru, Gaara, Neji, Lee, Tsunade, or Anko. Naruto gets the attention he needs as a main character and Kishi just uses Sasuke a lot but he is his favorite character and doing that for manga reasons is still acceptable. Hinata is the one who gets over inflated to much.

We don't see any other big moments for other characters drag on, they happen as they should. Only filler-canon I can think of for Sakura is when she had a larger role in trying to help Naruto train for his wind style, mainly by giving food pills or reprimanding Sai for criticizing Naruto only to find out Sai tricked her. Everyone else has their moments and lets them proceed as they naturally should. Only Hinata gets special treatment. Why not give some fillers to others like Shino? Many people love Shino yet he is always stuffed in the back. All this expansion on Hinata does not help her case as a character and people praise her like it happened when it did not. If all this stuff happened with Hinata, then by right we have the right to do the same with Sakura which is much bigger still. When that episode with 615 comes, any memories or whatever else they may show Naruto having with Hinata or noticing her, it should make no difference by the time another manga event occurs. Hopefully more NaruSaku stuff would come up by the time this episode occurs and debunks the stuff, well its still bound to be nothing of merit being filler canon if they extend this simple scene much more again.

And sadly its the anime version of Hinata that fans try to say exists in the manga. They don't understand Hinata's limited development, that's what irks many others. Neji fans are still annoyed by this too.

The funny thing is I keep forgetting that jutsu she has with some kind of kaiten never happen, which is why we never see it in the manga. Otherwise, she would have done so in 614. I do agree that it's not her fault, rather the fandom, Pierrot and in general. I don't hate her but I don't find her anything special. She did her message, so now what. Nothing. The funny thing is that Pierrot has just made a redudent theme because she said the stuff in 615 that happened in episode 166. Guess now we have to see a repetitive moment. Sad. Oh well.

While the whole single character treatment is true, when it comes to pairing, I do notice NS got the most attention since well perhaps the beginning. When it comes to Hinata, it's usually about her trying to improve herself, like how the manga did back then and just closed it recently. Not to mention, it's always Naruto saying something that's like a review. When it comes to Sakura and Naruto, it's more like a normal life, a different day, a different morale.
