The hitting trust me i've seen a lot of tsunderes sometimes they say those stuff as a form of denial.
It wasnt her words there but her attitude of puching and the angry face that was the denial.

Having feelings or not she would act the same way.

Except this happened before and she denied it, as oppose to now where she didn't deny it and this time it was being said to his father if there was any time for her to deny it, it would be then.

It was different because she had a low view of Naruto, remember that Sasuke told her that she was worse than Naruto and told her to practice a jutsu or two, she was looking very angry and Konohamaru spotted that she would literally eat him alive if he called her Naruto's girlfriend.
She took it as an insult which is different than Minato's case.
In the current moment would she feel insulted by being called Naruto's girlfriend? (Obviously not because on the summit she considered being in a romantic relationship with Naruto despite having feelings for Sasuke.)

She was embarrassed that's why she acted like that, which is the difference of the two scenarios.

I'm not sure if she was embarrassed, we didn't see her blush or anything like that (speaking of which I recall a moment in RtN where movie Hinata asks if Naruto and Sakura were on a date to which Sakura says it was out of the question but she was blushing and didn't seem upset which I think might be a slight NS moment)

regardless of the situation if there was a moment for her to deny her and Naruto being in a relationship it would be during 631, because unlike when he made the comment to his lil bro Konohamaru to look cool, Naruto was legitimately thinking about it and responded honestly to his deceased father.

The fact that she didn't deny the question when it was asked by his father proves one of these

-That she does consider Naruto her boyfriend but she is too embarrassed to talk about it
-That she accepts that her and Naruto are more than just friends and prefers to not talk about it until things are made official
-That she doesn't know where her and Naruto's relationship stands and just doesn't want to talk about it in the middle of a war
-That at the very least she acknowledges that being with Naruto isn't out of the question as oppose to before.

Nope i expressed the fact that she denied on the classic tsundere behavior rather than taking it as an insult like on Konohamaru's case.
No problems i just dont accept the idea that she accepted that or even Naruto accepting the idea that he might accepted the confession when he has a wall around him and Sakura still has her feelings for Sasuke to resolve.
The purpose of that scene was the Kushina/Sakura parallel but Kishimoto ended killing NH by expressing Naruto's feelings for Sakura confirming thus tha NH was never part of the romance subplot.

You can look at the scene and also i wanst talking about Naruto, i was talking about Sasuke, which on the scene she took it as an insult and she was already mad because Sasuke said she was worse than Naruto and she took it as an insult.

We dont know what he was thinking about, if he firmly believed that they had the type of relationship you suggested he would not had cut off Sakura since the question was towards her and not him.
And also contradicts with his belief that "Sakura loves Sasuke too much"

She denied on the typical tsundere behavior(but wasnt rude or neither took it as an insult) because she knows she's not and while still having feelings for Sasuke and she knows very well that Naruto is aware of that and wont accept her unless she gets completely over Sasuke and is in love with Naruto.

The embarrassement comes from the fact it's Naruto's father, it doesnt need a blush.
I think she just hit him for saying funny things nothing else aside from that, she has stuff to resolve and Naruto has his walls to demolish they're both unresolved and i dont believe on this interpretation it's overlooking to me, i dont think that Kishimoto wanted to give a hint like this because if so we would get at least a part
of her asnwer, but she was cut off by Naruto who didnt wanted to hear her response.

Despite how strange 631 Naruto's behavior was, I still don't believe Naruto is convinced Sakura loves him and not Sasuke. Considering how he said over and over during the Kage Summit Arc "Sakura loves Sasuke so much!", I don't see how much can change that so fast even with Sai's explanations. "Sort of" accepted it? I dunno. Naruto didn't show any of this "sort of" train-of-thought during the Kage Summit Arc. He didn't believe Sakura loved him and didn't love Sasuke and most likely still doesn't.

 

However, maybe Naruto's response does mean something besides confirming his feelings. It might be simply that he knows she still confessed and that he's somewhat confused by it, but not enough to believe she loves him. Maybe he was just basically saying it's complicated because of the confession? Even if he didn't believe it, that surely must be a little confusing for him anyway.

 

Honestly, I'm starting to consider more and more something happened off-screen. It's still really weird to me how Sakura treated Naruto so normally when they got back to the village when she has no idea Sai explained the intentions of her confession. Whatever she did, she still confessed she loved him and he rejected that confession. Wouldn't it be at least a little awkward between them, at least from Sakura if we're assuming nothing happened off-panel?

 

As for Sakura's reaction to Naruto's response, I feel like she was just embarrassed he said something like that that openly. Her answer to being asked that question and Naruto saying yes when from "No!" and punching him extremely hard to "Shut up!" and just head-butting him definitely shows her feelings for him have changed. I'd also agree Kishi meant to keep Sakura's answer to that ambiguous besides confirming a Sakura-Kushina parallel.

I'm just slightly disappointed there wasn't a moment between Naruto and Sakura when he saved her from the white zetsu and yet instead we got a whole thing with Hinata and Naruto encouraging her about how she's strong which ofcourse made the NH fans rave n kitten. Then after that we had all the shinobi running to the battlefield and instead of an ambigious NS hint we got her thinking that she and everyone else will support him while Hinata makes a promise that she will be with Naruto when the war is over which ofcourse made the NH fans go nuts and pretty much just has Kishi building them up for a bitter disappointment.

I think the better deal here is, its not the events of the confession or 631, the bigger aspect is that she doesn't trust sasuke and she supports naruto more. Also its just a hint of where things could be going with 631 yet many make a big deal out of the sakura-kushina stuff. I mean Kushina foreshadow plus this girl is like kushina doesn't sit well with many other people.

As much as I'd like to believe that, there's nothing that even implies she was aware Sasuke was in any kind of peril.

I have to say this just to get it off my mind I think kishimoto did a horrible job in building up his pairings heres the reason why.. kishi never had a pairing in mind to begin with. Theres an interview that kishi says that he only made the pairing drama up just to sympathize with the characters did he have any idea that he made hinata way to sympathetic along with naruto? Hence the reason why we have huge NH fanbase along with SS we have to deal with everyday. Not only that but, he also gave hinata a role in pein arc and used her example of love towards pein however in the end sakura still got the upperhand in the end of that arc by hugging him and naruto never commented on hinatas romantic confession every again maybe he will in the future but he will most likey fried-zone her for good. Heck even hinata faded back into the shadows until chapters leading up to 615 naruto somehow complements hinata for standing up for pein not only that but during 615 he told her shes the one thats always by his side and thanked her meanwhile sakura got a background treatment. And now in the recovery chapter naruto dosen't even thank sakura for saving his life and just leaves ,but still considers sakura to be somewhat of a girlfriend without any emotional conflict of possibly falling in love with someone else. I just don't know. Whatever happened to those days when naruto look at sakura and told her that he was all right or something not only that but ns itself used to get big panel time as well. Well my answer is kishi just doing this just to keep the other pairing relevent and im not to pleased by the way he does it does he have to ruin sakuras reputation by doing so along with putting more negativity towards ns as a pairing and suck the excitement out of ns?

 

This is my another reason why im quote indifferent towards pairings these days they do not go anywhere no matter how much the screentime that said pairing get even big moments. The only thing i expecting is pairing pandering hinata to naruto moment only to get friendzoned big time, sakura to naruto moment few moments for this pairing that isn't concrete to make it canon, and karin to sasuke moments as for ss i do not know maybe kishi could revist it just to add more unnecessary drama.

 

I will say this though the only pairing kishi did not screw up is sasunaru this pairing seems far more believable than any other pairing kishi has made when you have obsessing over sasuke the entire manga heck he went kyubbi over him with detailed flashbacks, (sorry hinata you are not that special to him your just a dear friend that got hurt in front of you and he only  complements you because his just a nice guy and nothing more) he literary puts sasuke on top over anyone else in this manga And sasuke is his first priority he can not do anything unless sasuke gets saved. I would not be surprised if this manga ended with sasuke and naruto having a moment before the manga closes.  

 

Finally going back to the pairing stuff I guess this is the reason its really hard get hinata out of my mind whenever i think about ns kishi gave to much emphasis back in the pein arc and in the war arc. Especially the pein arc i just can't get over the hollow eyed look when shes lieing on the ground saying naruto kun everytime she get screentime. Maybe that's another reason why i find hinata to be frustrating and annoying these days to she gets big emphasis saying naruto kun all the time and when she fails she gets extra panels of her sad face and tunnelvisoness and yet again this is reminding me of the pein arc all over again plus there's no reason to give character development if the characters can not develop properly.

 

He could have done so much more on sakura and ns but i guess messing/misleading with the popular pairing like nh and ss is more important than putting effort into the pairing, that kishi most likely wants to make canon which is ns also putting more effort into sasunaru makes it even more bitter for me.

The novel was only sold in japan. There was a japanese guy who made a drawing of some NS moments, I think you can find it by searching a little on the net.
