Naruto and Sasuke both respond differently because of circumstance, while Naruto was born without any bonds and was hated, Sasuke was born with a family, he lost that to his brother and said brother told him to get stronger and seek him. Since Sasuke lost the bonds he had, he had more trouble accepting new ones as he was scared of also losing them, while Naruto wanted them for obvious reasons.
Sasuke's mind got f**cked up due to a brother who murdered his parents and tortured him, in the flashback you clearly see he isn't crazy. As for him caring more about his goals than his comrades that was only displayed in the Kage Arc and Post-Hokage Talk, he was willing to sacrifice everything for Naruto in the LOW Arc and to Naruto/Sakura in the Gaara fight, he also was wiling to risk his life to save Karin and to use Amaterasu on Bee even though he didn't know how to put it out yet meaning he wouldn't get the Eight Tails to accomplish.
I agree. I don't like when fans compare Naruto's tragedy to Sasuke's tragedy as they were completely different. Naruto never had parents to begin with and while that is horrible, it is not the same as actually having them for your childhood, loving them, and suddenly having them murdered in front of you. Sasuke's grief is based on how much he loved his family while Naruto is more driven by loneliness and the need for acceptance. Sasuke wants to be understood and wants no one else but his family.
Personally I think Sasuke's tragedy was worse since his parents deaths' were horrible and he was mislead into killing his own brother. At least Naruto's parents died accepting their death and holding their son and he got to speak to them again through the Kyuubi so there was a bit more closure there.
