I doubt Sasuke and the Hokages will join the fight immediately. Kishi can just build up the hype/anticipation by delaying it a few more weeks. The next chapter will probably be reactions to the Juubi being free, and just getting us back into the war "mood." We had to sit through like 2 months of flashbacks, so he may want to get us reacquainted with the main battle. I'm not really expecting Sakura or the injured Kages, but I'd be pleasantly suprised if we got either. I dunno, I'm losing patience with Kishi. If we're force-fed more Hinata, I might snap. argh1.png

Hokages and others will take a while since they are coming from Konoha, which is far. That said it leaves a suspense, much like the alliance arrival. That said I don't think we will see them for a while.

I never said we'd see Sakura with the kages, all I said was that we'd see them for a chapter or two. They have been on the backburner for a while now you know. Heck maybe we won't see them until after the war is over. Who knows...

True. Undoubtedly, when the Kage's arrive, it will have to be a big moment. I doubt even Kishimoto would just have them stroll onto the scene.

"Hello there, everyone."

"Hokage-Sama!?"

"'Hokage-Sama's."

"...Right. Anyway, what are you all doing here?"

"We heard there was a big battle going on. Is this it?"

"Uh, I guess."

"Splendid! This is a perfect opportunity to wear my 'Don't touch the Will of Fire, or you'll get Burned!' t-shirt!"

Oh, I'm sorry! I wasn't directing my post at you - I suppose I should have made a quote. sweat.gif

I was referring to FoolishYoungling's post about seeing Sakura there with the Kages, should we return to their part of the story in the next chapter. I don't think it's possible for her to be there with them at this point in time... Though I do believe that we're going to see what they're doing next. I'm preparing myself for tears. Poor Tsunade. sad.gif

Lol. I can't help but feel that these guys will be late. Like the battle is over. But I doubt it. It will be funny though. Actually, it could happen, but it's slim.

I guess it would be out of place to just switch to Sakura right before the past hokages launch themselves to the battlefield. :/

Although I find it interesting that there's this build up for Sakura ever since she was last seen. I kind of expected something fabulous from her. fu.png

But there's no guarantee that she's with the Kages. That's just a theory that people came up with when she wasn't there during 617. To me, it makes no sense for her to be with the Kages at this point in time because she had no way of knowing what happened to Tsunade, and even if she did know, she has no way to get there. People assume that Sai took her, or that she was reverse-summoned, but those are all just theories with no evidence behind them. I don't expect to see Sakura anywhere other than the Alliance fight.

True. but the bottom line is that Tsunade has been cut in half for about 25 chapters or so. If she uses her chakra to heal the Kages, especially after using up the chakra in the yin seal, I don't think that she is going to survive. If she dies, Sakura has to have a moment with her. Tsunade is too important of a character to just fade into the background, and Sakura is the closest thing to a student she had. There is of course Shizune, but Shizune isn't a main character.

Ehhh...We're Sakura fans and we're desperate for some action. sweatdrop.gif If Sakura was actually on the battlefield the whole time, I'm going to lose all faith in Kishi. He will have some major explaining to do. Why wasn't she featured once in chapter 616? Even Akamaru was shown once. th_cussing.gif

I just hope that he has something in store for Sakura. Honestly, the less her "shining moment" has to do about pairings, the better. I don't want her reduced into a Hinata-type pairing fodder type. Really I'm fine with anything except SasuSaku... biggrin.gif

I believe sakura with kage right now via reserve kuchiyose for tsunade last word, while sai in the battlefield with his ink bird. And if my prediction come true than four kage + sakura will come after juubi rampage and decimate the alliance. Four kage will madara again and naruto will fight obito. After obito lose the edo hokages come to finish madara off.

Well that just my opinion but if the like of Hinata, ino, shikamaru, chouji, and sasuke can get development in this war arc, why not sakura?

Bolded: Not really. Jiraiya didn't get a final moment with Naruto before his death, and I would argue that he was an important character. So really, there's nothing that says when a master dies, their students *have to* be there for their final moments. It's more sentimental when they are, like with Team Ten and Asuma, but it's not required. I can imagine that we'll get Tsunade's final thoughts, much like we did with Jiraiya, and those will probably include Sakura/Shizune, Naruto, and Dan/Jiraiya.

Naruto and Sakura will get effected hard if Tsunade dies. The sad part is if she does die, I can see Naruto and Sakura celebrating after perhaps stopping them for now and maybe, if it does happen, revive Neji and others, only to find out she dies. That would be hard to watch.

True, but Jiraiya was not Naruto's only mentor. Minato, he met before he passed onward and inherited his will for peace. Kushina=Orange Hokage/Kyubi power. And well Iruka and Kakashi have not died yet. Sakura has only had one mentor and that is Tsunade. If he wants to follow this cycle of the younger generation surpassing the older, how can he do that without Sakura learning Tsunade's will or possible techniques. Now, Kishi can always use the flashback scenario ass-pull move, but he is still predictable to a degree. There is a reason that Sakura has taken a backseat for so long. The Land of Iron Arc according to Kishi was supposed to portray her as a heroic woman[at least in his mind] and was a spotlight moment for her because a lot of the arc was based on her decisions. Maybe not in the next chapter or so, but because he has focused on so many other characters, I think that it is safe to say that her moment is coming soon, and that her being with Tsunade makes the most sense.

You know, slextrem, your thread on the buildup really effected me more than I realized. Now, if it was to be killed off, not only my general fan will be devastated, but my inner NS fan will go ape****. Seriously, the cruel irony is Kishi said he isn't good at writing romance yet he did a great job on NS, only to choose another with little buildup in the last minute. I think I will brogue kick something in this room.

Mhm Sakura is most likely going to be involved either way. 1.) Direct confrontation + hearing her last words... 2.) Tsunade thinking of Sakura and putting her faith in her to help lead the next generation...

I want the first scenario to happen not just for Sakura, but for Tsuande as well. It would be kind of sad for her to just die alone. shamefulcry0js.gif She deserves better. I know that she has the other Kages with her, but they aren't actually close to her emotionally. Jiraiya did technically die by himself, but his circumstances are a bit different. His little trip down memory lane was necessary for "passing the torch" to Naruto, and to remind himself that he isn't really a huge failure. Jiraiya really thought he was a disgrace, but the thought of Naruto helped drive him to commit one final heroic act.

I don't think Tsunade is the same here. If anything, she has already overcome any past failures. Her words against Madara really proved that. So dying thoughts like Jiraiya would be kind of pointless in my opinion. happy.gif
