Question time for everyone. If someone would've shown you 699, 700 and the movie 4 years ago or 5 years ago or after 631 or hell immediately after you started "Naruto", what would've been your reaction, what you've said?

Also which is correct "showed" or "shown"?

 

For "immediately after I started Naruto" - I would have a non-reaction since I wouldn't have developed any emotional attachment to any of the characters (or the story) yet.

 

4/5 years ago - I would've been like, "OK, So Did the manga develop in the direction of 699/700 over the next 4 years ? If not, kittening why??????

 

After 631 - My reaction would've been, "Urmm, is this author on Drugs or what, what's with all the ship baiting ? Is he kittening insecure or what? Is He getting death threats from certain fans ? Or is he just he just a kittening terrible writer ?"

Right, we're supposed to understand and forgive characters like Obito who massacred who-knows-how-many people, yet THE ENTIRE UCHIHA CLAN couldn't be reasoned with, understood or forgiven? The only way was death, for all of them??

 

Kishimoto does not play by the same rules with his characters. The redemption of the truly villainous ones carries more weight than having the good characters overcome the tragedies they've endured. No attempt is made in trying to help Naruto understand his Uzumaki background or Sasuke his Uchiha background. Those storylines are dropped in favor of new villains. 

 

Actually, and I've said this all along, I think Kishimoto gravitates more towards his villains than he does his heroes. The first one being Sasuke. Kishimoto never challenged or evolved Naruto after a point. And in the end, Sasuke drove the story. So much so that the ending was in his voice, not Naruto's. How messed up is that?

 

 

 

Nah - they would never do anything that might threaten the great NH lovefest. I don't think we're even go to see Sakura very much after this. In fact, I don't think we're going to see much of the original characters at all. Maybe just as filler, background stuff.

 

We'll probably see more of Sasuke than anyone — since he's the Master now — with Bolt only reconnecting with Naruto at the very end. Sasuke's explained some stupid life lessons to Bolt, then Bolt returns home to fght beside dear ol' dad, finally understanding him. They bond over battle. The end. 

 

Lets not forget, the person who ordered the massacre by going over the Hokages head were never punished, Danzou was told to disband Ne and that was it, it was obvious from the lack of care he took by continuing his actions it was more for show than actual punishment for his actions.

 

But again even he was shown as a victim of circumstances at the end, someone who we should forgive because he was doing it for the betterment of his village. How about judging a person from their actions and not their circumstances.

 

Now that it's confirmed Sasuke is the Sensie, the likely hood of his past coming to bite him in the arse is likely to happen, let's see how they screw this up, ho the group that were willing to change sides for Sasuke at the end will become the enemies.

 

Everyone was a bleedin' victim in this manga, except Kaguya, apparently she was evil, then again this is the running scene in nearly all Jump battle mangas, everyone is a bleedin' victim.

Before spoilers for this book came out a while back, I thought the Konoha novel would be about what has happened in the village and how they advanced so much in such a short time, but apparently the kitten NH movie was not enough for the Naruto team, so this needed to be made.

 

Also, I love how Hinata's teammates are front and center, just to kiss her ass and praise her for her marriage, like it's the greatest accomplishment that matter in a story about ninjas. Oh wait, this is written by Kishi, so it is.

 

I'm not even mad, I'm just finding everything about Naruto so ridiculous, that it's funny.

Kakashi: I'm saying it's time we moved on from this, and freed the future from the errors of the past. I mean sure, we will still have a standing military force I'm not saying we should all become hippies here. But honestly we should be training our children for new careers. We don't need to force people into the military anymore. We can start a new age a better age! This isn't the war age that I grew up with it's the peaceful age. A better age. An age that my master Minato only dreamed of....

 

Shikamaru: But that would mean Naruto won't be Hokage....

 

Kakashi: So?

 

Shikamaru: Naruto needs to be Hokage or he is a failure in his own mind... he already gave up on the woman he loved and just married the girl with the biggest kittens he could find... seriously is he isn't Hokage he'll probably end up hanging himself and then we all will have to deal with Sasuke, who is so far in the closest he is finding five year old Christmas presents. If Sasuke loses the man he loves he will try to take over the world again.

 

Kakashi: Oh come on, Naruto wouldn't force people into a violent lifestyle just so he can feel good about himself.

 

Shikamaru: You want to bet sir? This is the same man who gambled with the lives of every known human being just so Sasuke wouldn't be hurt... he literally would have been fine with Sasuke taking over the world if he couldn't beat him.... He wouldn't even think about killing Sasuke after he almost killed you and Sakura! Naruto does what he wants! He gave up only once in his life, and now he does nothing but drink and eat ramen well waiting for this job to open up! He is the man who pushed your predecessor out of the way, despite the fact that she was a Grandmother figure to him! For God sakes he called her a drunk to get rid of her!

 

Kakashi: Oh come on, do you really think Naruto would just... destroy the chance of a true new future here for everyone... a world where his own future children could do what they want with their life and not be forced to become a child solider? Surely he wouldn't force that hell on them just so he can get a title.

And that was because the two were both stupid, and thought they weren't good enough for each other. Then he made some stupid line about "Oh isn't love like eating ramen." You have no idea sir, just how stupid acting her was. Then he claimed he had some vision or something about Hinata being picked on as a kid... I... I don't know... then in private he told me "Hey at least she has big kittens... and you know a Hokage needs to have a wife, I don't want to be like Kakashi, I have enough gay rumors about me and Sasuke going around as it is."

 

Kakashi: People think I'm gay?

 

Shikamaru: No, Naruto thinks your gay, because the dumbass doesn't understand human emotions. Look sir. I agree with what you are saying, but we just can't do it. Naruto wants to be Hokage, it doesn't matter if the world doesn't need a Hokage this is what he wants and he will get it, and we will have to give it to him, because we can't risk another war.

 

Kakashi: *sighs* How many people will suffer just for Naruto's ambitions?

 

Shikamaru: A lot... but it's better then the alternative. Sasuke will stay in check, and I will be here to make decisions well Naruto takes in the cheering crowds for his ego.

 

Kakashi: Another generation lost...

 

Shikamaru: But maybe the generation after mine will be free after we die off.

 

Kakashi: We can only hope for the early death of Sasuke and Naruto if that's the case.

 

Shikamaru: Sir... we still need to give the soldier's their orders....

 

Kakashi: Just... I don't know. Go have them buy Hinata some wedding gifts or something. Her happiness seems to be all that matters right now. Everyone but her is miserable, might as well keep it that way.

4 years ago/after 631=> I would have been shocked...especially after all the fresh NS moments 

After I started watching the anime => I would ask myself how all Naruto and Hinata got together (as well as Sasuke and Sakura) and wonder if this manga is really for boys .... Then I'd wait for all these pairing developments...that will never come.

No he didn't, he literally went there to ask her how she felt about him. He couldn't do that in his own skin because Sakura would have brushed him off. All the kid did was berate Naruto for not being as skilled as him. Just because Naruto called him on his kitten doesn't mean that Sasuke is any less of a bully. 

No, his original intention was to make Sakura hate Sasuke not ask her and even if that was the case, disguising yourself as someone else is still wrong and poor him if Sakura won't give him a chance, it isn't Sasuke's problem.

 

Each member of Team 7 were rude to each other at one point, Sakura was a b*tch to Naruto in the beginning, Kakashi insulted Naruto's skill, Naruto insulted Sasuke, and Sasuke insulted Naruto. I'll give you that he acted like a butthurt b*tch when Naruto was getting stronger but he has his reasons, and for every time Sasuke insulted Naruto, Naruto insulted him.

I'll give Kishi credit where its due, he could have easily made a flashback of Danzo being a poor little orphan and him being saved by the Leaf and that is why he is so dutiful to the Leaf. He didn't make Danzo this very tragic character but instead just chose to show his relationship with Hiruzen.

Naruto is pretty messed up in the sense that he doesn't try to change other people that aren't like him, he didn't bother TNJ with Kakazu, Kaguya, Black Zetsu, or Madara.

Sasuke is a bully but he really does just want to be left alone. I don't blame him for disliking his teammates, Sakura for being an obsessed fangirl and Naruto for being a jealous loser.
I get what unconditional love is but Naruto & Sakura seemed to be chasing Sasuke in Part 2 for their own reasons rather than for Sasuke's; Naruto so he can feel good enough to become Hokage, and Sakura for god knows what. Though I give Sakura more credit since she was willing to let go of Sasuke unlike Naruto who wanted to chase him for his own ego.

When you're hurt & enraged you want to get back at the world so I think Sasuke sort of saw his teammates as punching bags for that. The only thing that could make him happy is his family coming back to life but that's not possible. I agree, he is definitely a psychopath waiting to happen.
Naruto & Sakura made friends with the wrong person. They're too dumb and naive to understand what Sasuke's been through.

Almost every character with a tragic past is a psychopath ready to happen, its Naruto's circumstance that is the reason of him not becoming crazy (Like Gaara). I can understand not feeling for his character now but he really didn't do anything wrong in Part 1 besides insulting people and being arrogant but that's expected when your brother slaughters your family and you spend most of your life training.

As you said Naruto could've been one but he wasn't because that is not in his character's nature. When someone reached out to him he was grateful, but when someone reached out to Sasuke he was apathetic at best. Which is a huge characteristic of a clinically diagnosed psychopath. Sasuke's need for empowerment at any costs, his egocentricity, antisocial behavior and willingness to sacrifice others for his own personal goals, which may change on a whim are all classic signs of a psychopath with sociopathic tendencies. That character was born with it.

Exactly. People respond to tragedy in different ways. It can make saints or devils out of different people. In Naruto's case it made him sympathetic to others & want to fix the world and in Sasuke's case it made him angry & vengeful and want to tear it down.
Sasuke was already born with an at risk potential sociopath personality & his tragedy triggered it.
