For me seeing her reduced this way is like seeing an old friend going nowhere with his/her life no matter how much he/she tried. It sucks even if I know she took sh*tty life decisions.
That's pretty much my emotion towards current Sakura: pity

Wouldn't it be extremely kittened up if the reason why Kishi relentlessly destroys Sakura's character is because he watches the popular Youtube Reviewers that constantly put her down.....and then assumes that this is what the fandom wants ?!?!!?

I'm quite happy I never given a flying kitten about what 'those kinda people' though about...well...everything, and I'm also pretty happy that I've never lost time watching any of those reviews. (I'm kinda giving myself a pat on the back for this).
Call me too emotional but what happened to Sakura makes me nauseous, especially when I think that these situations, even though we're talking about a manga, happen, and frequently, in RL too and I'm the kind of person that gets too emotionally attached to fictional characters.

I don't like Sakura because she's an awesome baddass character, I like her because I had seen her grow. And now I'm sad because I've seen her plummeting down.
Meh. I should totally stop trying to rationalize this kitten. Me and my silly logic. Logic has no place here.

dunno... i think its either from Suzuka, Kimi no Iru machi or Fuuka. It's from a manga drawn by Koji Seo for sure, I recognise his art style.
btw it's a fanart, you know lol

Manga please?
I thought it was from Suzuka first, but I found on google that it was Kimi no Iru machi
You know the sad thing is to have Boruto story get explored in the movie while Sarada gets all in original form: the manga.
AoT seems very friendly with fans in terms of not cash grab in comparison, yet it's more popular. How is that possible...
exactly ! The manga will surely focus on Sarada's issues more than Boruto's. (especially since, there's nothing much to say about Boruto's ! He's just a spoiled and arrogant brat )
hum..about AoT...maybe because the author is so much better than Kishi, and knows how to write a story !

When I think that he used to like her, and now... I think that he just doesn't care anymore about her...or any other character.
If I hated a character I had created myself, I wouldn't make him suffer like this, maybe just kill that character off or avoid talking about him, or maybe...just make him more likable !

Hahahaha It's weird to see that our prediction really happened ! God, it's even worse than what we predicted !
Still can't believe we had faith in Kishi, and admired him.

Anyway. If previous manga/movies etc etc didn't exist. And this chapter was the first of the manga. Would you guys be interested in it?
I haven't read the new spin-off manga, therefore my arguments do not have a strong basis to begin with. It's full of prejudice, so, just take it with a grain of salt...
But even if I'm new to the series and if I were to read it, I can't relate myself with the characters being portrayed (as far as the discussion here went). Let's take a look at the story's introduction:
Salad - a fatherless child living with a lonely and sad mother, equipped with a high temper / abusive approach to control her daughter. The mother couldn't recollect her husband's features well up till the point her daughter questioned their relationship. The mother used to be one of the greatest medic of her generation, only to end up as an aging, lonely and sad woman (add the house loan some more).
Bolt - the opposite of Salad. Presumably living in luxury thanks to his dad being the hokage and his mom is a clan's princess. Yet, couldn't get true happiness because his Dad is not present.
What they experienced is nothing compared to their fathers. And that's the sad thing. The fathers of these children are not present for them, despite knowing how painful it was to grow up alone or to grow up being neglected.
As a mother of two children myself, there's one thing that I learned along the journey.
Happy relationship is equal to happy children, and vice versa.
It all starts from the parents. If you live happily and have a great relationship with your spouse, you're half-way there to have a happy children. I admit that I travel quite often. But as much as possible, I tried to be there for my children. To make sure they're comfortable with my presence. I'm all ears whenever they wanted to share. When I landed on different countries, the first thing that I do is to skype my kids. Just by hearing their voices is enough to put a smile on my face and to start the work with fresh mind! Even now, I make sure my children is fast asleep while telling them bedtime story, before I sip my coffee and finish my reports...No matter how busy my works are, my children were never a burden for me.
Children also look into their parents as a role model. And just from the glimpse of the characters being introduced, it's no surprise that logical readers assume NH/SS marriages are not happy. What else could explain these behavior? Those that think otherwise are simply showing their true nature: socially unhealthy and toxic (pardon my language).
Ok, sorry for the long rant about parenting.. ha ha... Anyways, I'm at the point where I feel indifference about the characters I used to cherish. It's neither sad or joy. I've moved on I guess... These new faces that I'm seeing are just a sad product and depiction of their former self.
Having said that, I will not read or follow this series.... We all know it was just a bait to reinvest the readers and to bring ex-fans back to the series, and subsequently the upcoming movie. It will all be a happy ending SS/NH. My advise is, don't buy into it... Much like my friends there who prompt me earlier today about the new series.
The fact that they started the series by messing one of their primary beneficiary (SS fandom), at the same time does not introduce or hinting how happy NH marriage was supposed to be, speaks volume.I thought they have a new heroine (Hinata)? I won't be surprised if she won't get a prominent role, even in the spin-off. She's never been important to begin with.
I suppose if they didn't lose that much viewers, they wouldn't go this far. In the end, no one will benefit from this unnecessary drama, not even the producer / author. I'm not sure if these are deliberate act of stupidity or just plain arrogance.
One thing that I wanted to say though, no matter what routes the story will take, for sure NS fans will not return to read / buy it. Kishi has royally burnt the bridge, and shaming NS fandom for being loyal to the series in the past 15 years.
We won't return and fund you Kishi. Don't waste your time with us, because I'm pretty sure I won't waste my time for you.

"What? What are you saying?"
"It's okay, this is what I came here to do. I can save today, but you... you can save the world."

I'm not trying to give Kishi any credit (would never do that) but in my opinion, that design choice was intentional. The Bolt movie was announced the same time that The Last was released, the chapters were available then, so it's entirely possible that this whole Salad thing would be addressed. In my opinion, this Salad situation was planned. As far as him not knowing where he wants to take this series, I totally agree with you.
Definitely. Himawari and Hinata have no use, they were only there to make NH shippers happy. Well, everything has been about the movie(s) recently, ever since they started canon movies they had to change the manga to fit with it (although that wasn't done well at all). This manga is nothing more than a lead up to the movie. Good point about the shadow clones, I actually hadn't thought of that lol.
This spin-off is nothing more than a bridge to explain how ss happen. In last chapter i bet theres gonna be ss wedding and happy ending family.
An out of control man needs a strong woman to control him.
And even a violent woman will become soft and tender to the man she love.

To me this entire manga is just flat out the most blatant attempt by an author to destroy an original character. Somehow Kishimoto has gotten it into his head that Sakuras character must not only be assassinated but must be burned scorched earth style beyond all recognition. He is using every dirty trick to just ruin her and make her absolutely irredeemable.
I stand by my love for the character of Sakura and the development slow and steady she had and the intended culmination of that development which was a clear ending where she fell in love with Naruto and maintained a mature adult relationship with Sasuke as a peer and equal.
But this travesty is simply unacceptable.
