I would hope this is true. Honestly, Kisi is just as unpredictable Naruto.

not really, considering one of my close friends has predicted the entire story of naruto, tobi being obito, EVERYTHING xD trust me someone will predict it, even the "naruto hinata holding hands" and "naruto then holding hands with everyone" parts were predicted, and they were joking when they predicted it xD heck I predicted naruto and sasuke being near death or dying, and it happened along with cpr scene xD

If NS does become canon, then it would make some sense for the movie to have some focus on Hinata and how she would change and react to that fact, even if just for fanservice for all the NH fans so that they too could come to terms with it. I keep trying to play devil's advocate and trying to see how a relationship between Naruto and Hinata could play out in a way that actually makes sense in the context of what we have seen in the manga so far but I just can't.

Hey, guys, something just occurred to me. I remember in the RtN trailer, they used Sakura angrily yelling Naruto's name for the audio for the scene in which Kushina chases after Naruto and reprimands him for not eating dinner, although she obviously calls him "Menma" in the film, because it's the alternate universe. I don't know if the subs used for the trailer were 100% accurate, but the way that they wrote/manipulated things really concealed the plot and left and air of mystery that deceived about the content of the film. 

 

What if it's something like this here? I mean, we all suspect that SP is up to some trolling/teasing, just to make more people interested, you know? 

 

There's a part of me that still likes to believe that Naruto directs his "Wait for me" line to Sakura, but they just altered it to leave everyone in a frenzy as we speculate about the person for whom this comment is intended. After all, we still don't have confirmation about the context and the intent behind this line. 

 

Just something that I came up with. I may be rationalization/misunderstanding some things, but I can't help but wonder whether it's possible, just the same... Just throwing this out there...

She's probably 19, too. She was born in March if I'm not mistaken, so she's about half a year older than him. 

 

You know, I've always been of the opinion that maybe Sakura was born in the following year. But that's just my opinion based on the japanese school system so it might not mean anything.

 

Still, the month differences have never been relevant in the manga (except for Sasuke who was shown as a baby in Kushina's flashback). The way I see it when Naruto gets a year older everyone else automatically does as well.

 

I'm guessing the rookies are around 19 with Lee, Tenten and Sai being around 20.

So this movie takes place 2 years after the manga correct? You mean to tell me that Naruto has NOT answered Hinata's confession in all that time? No rejection. No, "Sorry, I am in love with Sakura." For 2 to about 3 years, Naruto has never gave Hinata any answer to her confession at all?

Guys, I think we should just accept defeat. It doesn't look like NaruSaku has any chance of happening any more, maybe Naruto really has moved on from Sakura. NaruHina is looking like endgame but I really do hate the fact Hinata is being shoved in our faces on every single advertisement for The Last. I hate it. 

 GOOD LORD PEOPLE!!! that's it, I'm done trying to reason with you all and explain that the same thing that happened to road to ninja is happening here, I'm just gonna stay off this forum and the entire internet because I'm tired of hearing this overreaction crap, you guys are overreacting worse than road to ninja and road to ninja had the same marketing strategy, and since this movie was started right after they finished road to ninja, for 2 years, why would it not be the flipping same marketing strategy when road to ninja was the most profiting naruto movie of all time? good lord...

Ya know what guys if Naruto gives up on Sakura, but not Sasuke after he tried to hill him, his crush, and endanger is village and world.

I guess it won't be that focused on Hinata as it seems to be. SP tends to distort things. Hinata might have a considerable participation, but I don't think she will be the focus. Honestly, I guess Sakura will have practically the same screen time as her and I'll laugh hard if that happens.

The problem with modifying the "wait for me" line is that the sentence is being put in promotional products (like those covers from the volumes) along with the line of Sasuke and Kakashi. So the line is probably as it is.

Well the scarf, the snowfestival, the childhood scene, Hinatas new best friend Sakura; are defently putted in the movie by SP.
Why do i think that?

Well.
For the first Kishis drawnings of the characters casual clothning are denfently adjusted for summer climate. Seriously. Narutos and Sakura's sandals and shorts aren't the first things you choose when it's winter. Isn't it wierd that Kishis originals sketches of theirs casual clothes aren't adjusted for the weather in the movie. Which the winter casual clothes that they are wearing isn't showed in Kishis clothes, probably added by SP. Just like what they did with Sakura's design.
And we haven't seen a scarf in Kishis sketches.

The second is the fact that it has never snowed in Konoha (just in anime fillers). Need proof? Well we have followed Naruto in part 1 a whole year and it have never ever snowed there, but maybe it has been skipped? In part 2, we have followed Naruto in almost 2 years, and yet we haven't seen an only snowflake in Konoha. And it gives me the fact due to Konoha's climate it's never snowing in Konoha.
So if it's not snowing Konoha, then what the hell is the point by having a snowfestival. Geez, it's probably almost as having a snowfestival in Australia.

The third is that if there's isn't snowing in Konoha, then it's confirmed for me that the snowday scene with kid Naruto and Hinata are "cannon" (cough) as the filler scene during the pain fight when it showed Hinata's childhood's memories when she was bullied and Naruto protected her.
And she also wanted when she was young to give him a scarf during the winterfestival. Which i stated isn't possible because it's never snowing in Konoha and that's why there is no point by having a snowfestival!

The fourth is if there isn't a snowfestival then Hinata doesn't have a reason to want to give Naruto a scarf. See, it's cleary they putted the whole winter thing just to make up a reason with the scarf thing, just to make things more exciting. The same is if it's the case that Sakura is encouragning Hinata during the winterfestival, when there aren't supposed to be any winterfestival in Konoha? Think about it.

I'm not saying that NH may not happen. But it's obviosly that Kishi doesn't have anything with this things i just pointed. It's SP's works.

You know, all of this makes me hopeful for the final chapter. If this movie is filler and not the epilogue that we were hoping for, that means that the story presented by the manga must end conclusively next week... Hopefully... If that's the case, we should get an ending showing Naruto once he has become Hokage. I think that it will end as most of us here believe it will. Naruto fulfilling his dreams, including the one about Sakura. This movie may actually be a consolation prize for NH. I could live with that. If not... well, my opinion of the entire manga could change dramatically. I'll reserve judgment on all of this until next week.
