I was wondering, in the motion comic cover, isn't the masked guy AU Naruto? I think I remember from the trailer an sketch of the masked guy with an sinister looking Naruto right on the side, you know, the Naruto with arm wraps.

Here are cards picture:

http://twitpic.com/9yw79e

Not much to say, but it's a nice looking set. One comment though: Kushina is in her Jonin outfit. I hope we get to see her in action then. That will be awesome.

That's a pretty cool set. That only part that I didn't like was that Naruto got repeated too many times in the Diamond set, he even appears two times in a row in the final line. I would have preferred they included Sakura (since she's also a main character in the movie) as the 10 of diamonds (instead of Naruto with rasengan) in the same battle position as Naruto and his parents, but I guess that would've been too much of a shiptease tongue.gif .

It's too bad that some of the cards aren't shown, considering that two of those are surely chibi-Naruto and chibi-Kushina.

I want to see chibi-Kushina! arg.gif

Huh. So that explains the earlier picture a couple pages back where Naruto was the Ace of Spades, Sasuke (King of Spades), Sakura (Queen of Spades), Kakashi (Jack of Spades) and Tobi as the joker.

I wish they shown the picture of Kushina and Minato as the 10 of spades, earlier so that we could have avoided the whole tarot/conspiracy blah blah.

No kidding. It annoyed me on several levels.

QUOTE (dovahkiin @ Jun 21 2012, 11:31 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
yes it's totally randomic

Pretty much, Sakura is both queen of hearts and spades, Kushina is queen of diamonds. Queen of clubs is the Lost Tower poster (the clubs set is pretty much all movie or game poster images that we've all seen before) so basically uninteresting. Minato is the king of hearts so there goes any shipping context since Sakura is queen of hearts. I figured Sakura would be repeated as queen on other sets, and that the placement didn't mean anything at all....

QUOTE (Gravenimage @ Jun 21 2012, 01:12 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Don't remember but who was the one that came up with the whole Tarot thing?

Somebody pretty new to the forum I believe. Someone who I noted had a tendency to do Sakura bashing. Someone that didn't know squat about tarot either- used the wrong name for the set, found some crazy intrepretation of the queen card that I had never seen, and I'm a Wiccan who occasionally will use the tarot. (I've been Wiccan since I was 19, Pagan since I was 17, I'll be 46 this September. I am familiar with the variant interpretations, that didn't fit any.) Plus I also pointed out these were playing cards, not tarot...

QUOTE (NS means logic @ Jun 21 2012, 01:40 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I think it was just that person's excuse to bash Sakura, since it neither fit her character, nor any actual tarot intrepretation- didn't even use the right name for the set in tarot... some bogus mess that the poster likely just made up.

Yeah I wish the person that took the picture had got the whole sheet. Hey, at least Sakura is the 2 of diamonds next to Naruto's Ace of Diamonds in the same set that Minato and Kushina are the king and queen, 4 and 5. Yeah it would have been great if they had an image of Sakura punching the ground for the 10 of Diamonds though.... and I'd like to see chibi Kushina as well.

Hope it's true. I'd like to finally see her parents, even if it's just genjutsu versions of them. Where did you hear that news? Was that on the Twitter feed with the corrected spellings, Azure?

A little info on Sakura's dad:

"元ヤン, means former delinquent. Its also used in a way that means criminal, in Japanese. He was a bad boy in his teen years, then. lol

Also both the parents have names that are associated with spring.

Like bad boy in what sense? In the whole he's so bad, he's cool like what Sasuke used to be before going insane? Wait that part is very unlikely, never mind.

So did he do things like vandalize and steal stuff? How the heck Sakura was raised so pure (in the sense that she was not a delinquent) if this dude was a delinquent. The mom must have been one heck of a mother to prevent that from happening.

As for the 2nd bolded, that's no surprise.

All in all, I am intrigued by all of this and hope to get more info about her parents.

Nah, probably not as in a serious criminal. A delinquent, as in he broke the law/rules a few times. Troubled is the best way to describe it.

Don't know his personality, so I can't determine if he's serious or lighthearted.

That's not quite it. The word doesn't necessarily relate to prankster, which is what Naruto was. Its a bit more serious than that.

I'd guess that he's a little rough around the edges. Like maybe a former gangster or something.

Oh you're right, I mean is not like vandalizing the Hokage monument, but still kind of similar then?

That seems like something straight out of Freud's guide book.

So a girl hates a boy because he reminds her of the bad qualities her father had, but as time goes on and she matures she realizes that he share more of the good qualities than the bad so she falls for him for those reasons.

Yeah, Sasuke might have acted cool but he was no delinquent. That sound more like how Naruto was.

Sasuke's a full blown criminal. I'd say he'd be similar to an extreme case of a delinquent. Doesn't quite fit the bill, and neither does Naruto tbh.
