Exactly wishful thinking for SS fans. rolleyes.gif Sasuke has never shown any romantic feelings for Sakura just expect he will help Naruto, nothing like saving Sakura or taking an attack for her.

Haha, nice. I decided to share this thought in here from another thread.

I can't help but feel we are being misguided about Hinata and her character. I feel like really she's only meant to get ready for the big role in her family. That's it. Yes, we know she loves Naruto, but why never went with it with the confession and all. I feel like a bonus and/or not important like one girl straight up tell the protagonist she loves him but not matter to her because she knows who he loves. I always get that feeling for the whole series, especially if Naruto is not developing his feelings for her, rather just thankful he got a friend like her, much to how thankful he has Shikamaru on his back. But who knows. The next event in the manga can give me a bigger picture.

That said, I don't think anything bad come to her at all as I said above. If Neji gets revived, I see him being her right-hand man as she is the heir of the clan in the epilogue, much similar to FMA ending if you know who. Otherwise, same applies, minus Neji. That's my take. The idea of NH can be clear in the upcoming event and surely, all of us can understand better. Much like lately to me, I have been seeing SS is been dead and/or SS is alive but only Sakura is clinging on. Rest assure, all answers will come. Thoughts?

Skip Beat is probably my favorite shoujo manga, as the heroine won't take any kitten from the guy she started out liking. LOL. She ends up hating everything about him, her dream is to crush his, and she does everything she can to spite him. It's awesome. The only downfall is that the nice guy that ends up falling for her has a harder time trying to win her over, as the first ass that came her way made her want to shut love out of her life. Anyway, there are a lot of comical moments in that series - I recommend it to everyone.

The other shoujo that I enjoy reading is Kimi ni Todoke. The heroine in that series is teased by everyone in her class. They all think that she looks like a ghost and might curse them if they get too close to her. She's a complete outcast, but as it turns out, everyone is misunderstanding her. She's actually a very sweet, kind, and innocent girl with a positive outlook on life. She likes helping people and is very gentle. Anyway, the most popular kid in their age-group sees her for who she really is and eventually falls in love with her, but the situation is difficult for him a lot of the time because she simply has never thought about romance before, so she ends up misunderstanding his intentions a lot. It's comical and sweet. I'm drawn to the innocent nature of the characters. There is some drama, but it's nothing overly complex. happy.gif

If you really want a good shonen romance, I would very much recommend Kimi no Iru Machi. The potrayals and struggles the couples have to go through is so incredibly realistic that I always find myself going "hey!! that's exactly what I would've done!!"

Judging by what came up on Google Images, I don't think that series is going to be for me. I'm not into the whole "fan service" concept. sweat.gif

I hate it when people just turn down some series just because there's fanservice in it without giving it a try. The manga is more than that dry.gif .

well not everyone can take a story seriously when there's excessive nudity and panty shots. Some people are lucky enough to be able to just tune it out but for many others it just takes away from the immersion and ruins the experience. it's ONE of the reasons I don't watch fairy tail.

Fanservice is a gimmick. I thought people here would be able to look past that and look at the bigger picture. The problem I have with opinions like Slextrem's is that they're more or less "Fanservice/Ecchi=trash manga" without giving them a proper judgement.

Well, i agree with you there. I think there are a lot of people who are possibly missguided by hinata. Many seem to forget that shes just a sidecharacter and has nothing realy important to add to the story. She has about 10 chapters screentime, but still shes seen as some kind of main character.

But who care, i think everyone will get a clear picture again as soon as this whole battle is over

I must admit, it's funny how I work. When I get no fanservice, I feel hungry for one. When I get fanservice after fanservice, I say that's enough. Like Naruto, we don't get fanservice, so when it happens, it's like "Ah cool!" In Fairy Tail, well it's too much. I think I was bothered by the death scene with fanservice included. That was...well...yeah. To each of their own.

^ This.

I don't mean to offend you, Codus. If you like the series, that's great, and I don't doubt that it has a great story to it, but I don't enjoy reading sexual material. I think it's unnecessary, and as Branden said, it takes away from the immersion and ruins my experience. It's just not for me, simple as that.

I never called it trash; I said that I'm not into fan service. Stop putting words in my mouth and stop making assumptions about my opinion based on one comment. I find that absolutely ignorant and rude.

Funny how this series has like the least amount of fanservice. I don't know, does anyone think the same? Yet, this one I'm actually hoping for one, though do it at the right time. What a odd world.

Actually, the fanservice is an integral part to the story. And even more so in the latest chapters. Especially when it turns out to be a huge plot point. And I must say, was tastefully done. Sure, the beginning of the manga had quite a load of them and were drawn for the sake of fanservice. But later on, it turns out to be an important part of the story. And I don't think there are that many mainstream mangakas that can touch on sexual content so realistically, compared to others who simply use them for shallow purposes.

@Dkey: It's comments like yours that make me pissed. Even if you meant that as a joke, I took it as an insult for being a fan of the manga. I read the manga for the sake of the story, not the fanservice. You have no right to stereotype me.

I'm not stereotyping you, either. What I meant was that when people say opinions like the one you posted, it irritates me. I'm not mad or annoyed at the person itself, but what I'm annoyed is the seemingly stereotypical opinion you made. And I know you certainly didn't mean it that way, but it certainly came off as that way to me.

Dkey's on the other hand, is blatantly being stereotypical.
