No, don't get me wrong. I wasn't saying you thought Naruto was a shoujo. I just used your post to point out that many of the people that envision SasuSaku do it with a shoujo mentality.

They believe Sakura is the one that will change Sasuke as if she the main character and not Naruto. And they find their broken relationship to be intriguing and mysterious. The difference is that we see actual romance hints between the heroine and the bad boy in shoujo, and for some reason they believe it's the same with SS.

Ohh my bad.

Haha, but you can actually use the same logic against them: since Naruto is the main character here (not Sakura), he will end up with her cuz... she's the girl he fell in love first? XD

Nice to see many answers to my question. I'm a sucker of a kiss scene, so I will choose 2. Yes, it will be nice to see the aftermath, but not all manga/anime show it.

Well, someone already answer about Kishi's wife being Sakura, so good to know. I think it's still in the website of that quote. Not sure which site but it's there.

Lastly, well, I haven't read a lot of shoujo, only good one (oh snap), but I didn't know they go for bad boys. Usually they go for a guy who's like a "weird" or hot temper. Also, the protagonist isn't so weak emotion compare to SS situation. The protagonist can work with Sasuke-type if she is weird or very naive like character. Again, I only read some, not a lot.

Not all shoujo mangas are like that. There are few like Oresama Teacher, where main focus isn't on romance. Or some with good relationship build-ups like Lovely Complex.
I think it's such a waste to create an amazing male character that truly loves heroine(who also develops feelings for him) only to see him being turned down in the end...

After this week’s naruto chapter I’m sure Sasuke and Sakura are meant to be, the SasuSaku tag is flooding and I’m so glad.

These two just have to end up together, Sakura was the one who filled his lonely existence and the one that has always loved him even after everything. She went as far as trying to save him from himself.

And now our dear Sasuke’s reaching into the light, no longer blinded by revenge he can now see clearly.

It makes sense that they would end up together. Sasuke belongs with no one else he’s always cared for Sakura and they have shared so many moments and she’s loved him all along.

Sakura on the other hand has always been in love with Sasuke something Kishimoto’s been very clear about. There’ no one else for her and after pointing out in the manga again and again her love for Sasuke I think Kishimoto’s planning something ( no matter how little it is between them ).

Sasuke hasn’t shown any interest in Karin even his face in today’s chapter confirmed it. Sakura on the other hand was someone he always cared for, enough to listen to her pleas before leaving the village instead of immediately knocking her out. He’s put his life on the line for her even though revenge had always been his goal, a goal he couldnt’ achieve if he died.

And although he claimed again and again to have severed the bonds with his team in today’s chapter it’s clear that in the end he couldn’t.

He’s going back to the battlefield for his brother, for his village, for his team, and dare I say…for Sakura.

So yeah I do think they deserve a moment, or hell, even more than that. And if Kishi decides to do otherwise he’s crazy as kitten.

Skip Beat is probably my favorite shoujo manga, as the heroine won't take any kitten from the guy she started out liking. LOL. She ends up hating everything about him, her dream is to crush his, and she does everything she can to spite him. It's awesome. The only downfall is that the nice guy that ends up falling for her has a harder time trying to win her over, as the first ass that came her way made her want to shut love out of her life. Anyway, there are a lot of comical moments in that series - I recommend it to everyone.

The other shoujo that I enjoy reading is Kimi ni Todoke. The heroine in that series is teased by everyone in her class. They all think that she looks like a ghost and might curse them if they get too close to her. She's a complete outcast, but as it turns out, everyone is misunderstanding her. She's actually a very sweet, kind, and innocent girl with a positive outlook on life. She likes helping people and is very gentle. Anyway, the most popular kid in their age-group sees her for who she really is and eventually falls in love with her, but the situation is difficult for him a lot of the time because she simply has never thought about romance before, so she ends up misunderstanding his intentions a lot. It's comical and sweet. I'm drawn to the innocent nature of the characters. There is some drama, but it's nothing overly complex.

Change the word Sakura to Naruto and you have a NaruSasu post. And ironically it would be closer to the actual manga than the original text.

Good to know. Thank you. I'll check these out one day. The second one does sound fun. Anyway, we can't really connect this manga to others as others have different focus, theme, etc.

Another fan who believes that just because Sasuke has made a 180 becoming good believes he's going to end up with Sakura. When the chapter itself said NOTHING regarding pairings he didn't even thought about Sakura or Naruto for the matter but ONLY on Itachi (family is his character's main theme in the story). Not to mention it did showed a slight Sasu/Karin moment.

Whatever SS fans are going to get troll yet again just like 483 when Sakura met Sasuke telling him she was going to join him (how many of the fans were claiming the pairing was going to be canon ) And look how Kishi answered to that chapter destroying" the possible romantic encounter" with two death attempts on Sakura.

If Sasuke were to end up with Sakura, she should've had a part in turning him good. Or else it would be like "He was good and she liked him, then he turned bad and when he turned good again he was welcome in her arms." Not that Naruto had any part in it either..

Kimi ni Todoke is a great read! Definitely my favorite shoujo manga and is the only one I am buying all the volumes from. You just can't help but root for Sawako and tear up when she finally gets understood and is happy T_T It's such a sweet and pure story. I really hope a 3rd season for the anime comes out.

also... I think Shouta Kazehaya was my first manga "crush" I ever had and the anime made me like him even more lol

@SS post: All I can say is LOL. It's amazing how people can read the same manga and yet analyze it so completely different.. I mean even if I try I cannot see from their point of view. Different minds I guess
