@shisui
NS is dead at this point. And kishi try to erase it from canon existence because nh will become silver medal if not worse at this point.
Anyway does it mean he mean in that interview that nh is decide since part 1?
FFS, yes, YES, From chapter 1 it's been decided, because Hinata, is only shows up in 30+ that's why!
You wanted to hear that, or what?

Hey guys what is kishi mean by early?
idk.... but there's an interview where he said that he didn't thought about the pairings... where the interviewer wished for Hinata to have her chance etc...
So for me it's not from the begining of the manga, probably after Pain arc?

Doesn't this goes against his interview about being on the fence with Sakura?
In any case NS was too developed compared to the "canon pairing " to be a Red herring. This is not how you do à Red herring.
The paralallel with Kushina then was just for jokes? Why put it then? It didn't add nothing to the story if it was just for jokes and is too strong to be considered a Red herring.
Ridiculous kishimoto, ridiculous
He wasn't on the fence that was just one translation. I said this when that first interview came out that it implied he always and originally chose naruhina but only considered/thought about narusaku. This new interview confirms it and my thoughts were right because he is saying he chose naruhina from very early on. It's not uncommon for authors to mislead the reader and that's what he did to us. Or so he says. However he at the very least could have made naruhina look better. Instead it looks like a giant retcon. This is how he treats his ship I'm glad he didn't touch naruto and sakuras beautiful relationship.
The Kushina and Sakura parallel did exist and NaruSaku fans weren't imagining it. Poor NaruHina fans who always said it didn't exist.
Naruto did love Sakura during the series, he loved her for 699 chapters. Even if those feelings were retconned as shallow, Hinata isn't Naruto's first love like the movie tries to sell. Poor NaruHina fans who said otherwise.
NaruHina had no resolution in the manga, needed a movie to explain it, where Kishi himself says he falls in love in. It's confirmation that all that development in the manga was platonic from Naruto's side. Poor NaruHina fans who said he was already in love with her during the series.
It's bittersweet. NaruSaku doesn't look well, but neither does NaruHina.
Agreed.

Kishimoto will probably say Hinata was meant to be The One before the manga was even conceived at this rate.

New kishi interview
http://eiga.com/movie/79681/interview/
Trans:
Naruto ending up with Hinata was decided in the very early stages of the story.
Naruto being close to Sakura was a deliberate mislead, thats why the scenes of Sakura being compared to Kushina were introduced.
The Last Movie is not only the story of Naruto falling in love with Hinata, but it is the story of Sakura & Naruto parting ways.
He felt the story of Naruto falling in love with Hinata has to be propely explained, or it wouldnt be fair to the readers. Thats why the Last Movie exists.
^is this really what Kishi said?? If so I'll throw up. He just wanted to keep us interested..
If nh was decided sooo early then why was there barely any interactions?!
If that interview is true, fans from all sides are going to flip, Admitting Naruto being close to Sakura is a mislead is nothing more than admitting the entire manga was nothing more than a troll, He felt Naruto falling in love with Hinata needed to be explained? Well if the spoilers are to be beleived, he did a lousy job, it still doesn't explain WHY Naruto loves Hinata all it does is tell us he does. For a mangka or any creative person to deliberately go out of their way to troll their fans...sorry that's disgusting, this is meant to be a manga for young impressionable kids, this is the moral code they are supposed to grow up reading? Well kitten that, To take a precious moment when Kushina was saying her final dying words to her son just to troll the fans, is sickening, to create a mother with the charactor traits she has just for a troll?
Everytime Kishi opens his mouth in an interview it just appears he sounds like a bigger idiot, I bet he thinks he is selling the movie everytime he comes out with his comments, what he doesn't even seem to realise is that he's killing his manga every single time, fans are being told, I lied to you! You liked Kushina? Well she was just a troll, You liked Naruto and Sakura's closeness? That was troll! It's a nail in the coffin for him, no fan likes being told they were trolled, doesn't matter if you are a NaruHina, NaruSaku, or SasuSasu fan, this interview basically tells the NAruSaku fansthey were trolled, and it sells the other two that the reason their pairings got no development was because he'd rather troll a fandom than develop their story.
This is one of the most disgusting comment I have ever read from someone who created a story...It's no wonder he tried so hard to have everyone evil redeemed, he was justifying his own evil throug them.
I hope that this interview is false or atleast been taken heavily out of context, because if it's true, every single fan should be signing that Ban Naruto petition, we don't need that kind of trash being shown to our impressionable youth.

I don't believe this BS
I think he had no special pairing in part 1
It had good and balanced NH/SS and NS moments at least.
In early part 2 though he was obviously on the fence towards Sakura.
I believe NH was really decided to be the couple thanks to Sakura's further decrease in popularity back in K.summit arc.
Kishimoto made a mistake in trying to paint the Kushina paralallel as a Red herring, it is too strong for this.
He just plainly mislead everyone, when he could give more focus to his so called canon couple.

I've read all the translations that I can find and they all say something along the lines of "at one point I considered Sakura." He didn't say when, heck, it could even mean before he decided on NH. Now in this interview he's pretty much saying he didn't consider Sakura at all.
I have never seen a story written in fiction where the main character is a complete moron who only pretends to love the heroine to piss off his best friend. Seriously. So that proves chapter 3 Sakura was right all along, Naruto doesn't understand the pain of unrequited love, he just wants to mess up her life. Even though the POAL scene had Sakura realising Naruto DID understand her.
What is exactly left of Naruto and Sakura's relationship?

It means Kishimoto is backpedalling. Mistakes always sound better when you pretend it was planned all along.
Ofcourse he is going to say he chose NH to be canon early. Especially with the backlash he's getting for retconning his own story.
That's just it though.. I don't think he sold out because he is saying he planned naruhina from very early on... He was simply trying to mislead us... At the very least he could have made naruhina more believable. :/
It would look terrible if he were honest and said he changed the end pairing two years ago, after RtN. The subtext would be that is was under pressure from his editors and not his choice.
There is NO WAY he could be honest and still expect to make a profit from the film. No matter what the truth of his feelings about the end pairing.
So yeah, it's not all black helicopters and conspiracy theories to say he's lying. He's selling a movie. It happens all the time.
Haven't you seen the actors make the round of talk shows promoting a movie they KNOW is going to be a stinker? Only much later do they come out and say they wished they'd done things differently.
Need more proof? Look at all the money that is tied up in this movie and its new project, with merchandise, music, guest appearances, advertising everywhere, etc. etc. It's been more heavily promoted than the last 15 years of the manga together. It's been more promoted than all the other movies combined.
Kishimoto is going to say whatever he has to to get this movie off the ground. It isn't a choice — he's contractually obligated to. So is everyone else involved (voice actors, etc.). If one of them says negative things, then they all lose money.
We can only hope that one day Kishimoto comes clean and gives his real opinion about what happened, and maybe what he'd do differently.

Kishimoto will probably say Hinata was meant to be The One before the manga was even conceived at this rate.
At this point he'll probably come out and say he considered calling it "Hinata" instead of "Naruto."

Agreed.
If he really planned NH from the beggining then he really is a bad writer. LOL
And...
on the fence = though about ( same thing, no?)
Bc just look at early shippuden, NS potential is clearly there

the truth is that Kishimoto is a bad liar by grabbing at straws for giving a valid reason of why NH is lecit at his eyes. he must reclet somehow all NS hints in the manga and he did in worst way possible. Retcon no jutsu and jerking us around no jutsu.

It's your choise, I'm better belive that whole story until 699 was right, it was about bonds, about friends, about feelings that is grown with time, that NH will never be a couple in my eyes, because it's simple doesn't work for what we saw. SS is not existing at all. If manga ends with crap of retconing characters to their first appearance - fine by me, eat this kitten yourself Kishimoto, hope you like the taste of this. You could create a masterpiece, buy you ended up creating black hole that sucked up a lot of people's feelings for nothing in reward. About this interview - no, I don't belive it, damage control at it's best.
All his story was about is ruined at the end, by just not being NS centered, lol

The Last Movie is definitely about Hinata-sama and Naruto-kun's lovey dovey scenes. It's not about Naruto and Sakura's parting ways, it's all about Hinata. HINATA. AND HINATA. Even Naruto is degraded into a secondary character in this movie.

Kishimoto's backpedalling commences!
New interview, won’t translate all. If you don’t have faith in me, just ask another translator.
That man is desperately pin wheeling in the wind at this point. If he put that kitten in there on purpose he made a big mistake. If he did it on ACCIDENT he made a big mistake.
Not matter WHAT he says he can't win at this point, he's already done. There is no escape but he just keeps digging himself a ditch anyways.
