"I don’t even ship any of the three hetero pairings but holy kitten, I feel so bad for the NaruSaku fandom. Having a mangaka that trolled you for years because he can’t write a goddamn hetero romance storyline and then he immediately backtracks at the end of the series and saying how he meant it all along to be NaruHina, that the parallels are meant to be misleading, that a movie is meant to cover all the bases of a basically nonexisting romance in the manga itself is just such a terrible storytelling to me.
Why bother with the romance and the children at all? The series is about Naruto’s journey to be accepted and achieving his dreams, it’s not about a shoujo manga love. Kishi can’t write a love story for kitten and yet here he is, making up flashbacks that never existed, discounting off the actual manga storyline and suddenly Naruto is supposed to fall in love, marry and make babies immediately? (I’m not even going into how absurd Sasuke also has a kid that is the same age when he’s supposed to be off on a journey). I’m not a shipper and I feel mocked and humiliated with this level of belittling."
