She's paler her eyes are kittened up. Her breasts are strangly enlarged. She stalks Naruto, she knits. Cares about her scarf more than her sister. And other things.

Time does in fact do wonders for this sort of thing. A lot of people felt that way about Clerith VS cloti, but the more time that passed, the more many of them saw that the narrative did in fact lead towards Cloti. Of course there were and are still those that persist, but they've grown less as the years have passed. 

Hmm that isnt a very good example tbh.

The way I see it, Aerith was Cloud's true love but he ended up moving on because... you know what happened :(. A good example would be Titanic, Jack was Rose's true love but she ended up moving on and meeting someone else etc..
 

Besides Aerith is a favorite of Nomura, to the point where he stated that she wont be hurt or harmed in any other FF or spinoff game.

 

In NS vs NH it is very different because there was never a reason for Naruto to move on - now they wish because this movie makes it even worse, now it's a retcon instead of moving on - to begin with. It was just forced

Yeah as much I hated The Last Airbender at Shyamalon tried to stay close to the source material. The scene with 5 earthbenders and the mini stone my god     ugh  poor job on Last Airbender indeed. However compared to Last Airbender, this movie just has retcons to things established in the manga which makes it even worse. Here I always thought nothing could top The Last Airbender as the worst movie ever created, but I guess I was proven wrong.

Kishi single-handly ruined his own work. Never have I seen one with the skills to utterly destroy one's own work.
