Bleach has side character problem?Yeah, not going to lie, but after exploring other series once more, side characters do in fact get developed quite a lot. Not as much as main character or very vital to the plot, but they do get a lot. It's funny because with Naruto and Bleach, they're opposite but have their own problems. Just a matter of which one you decide it's "ok" for you to accept with side characters.

This interview just showed Kishi was pressured and has no self confidence
He got so obsessed in beating OP he forgot about his own story
Like every other obsession, it usually doesn't end well for that person.
He's the reason that Naruto isn't as popular as it once was, he should have just focused on his own story and not what somebody else is doing and not doing.

Did he? Looking at his history, it seems he was natural gifted guy. I didn't know he was the assistant of Rurouni Kenshin. He seems pretty gifted.I read in the interview that oda has a hard time before he make onepiece, to the point he almost give up on becoming mangaka.

And as I said, Shadow, he likely only did it to help himself.
I'm not so sure.
This period with Sasuke is when he starts to open up and shift toward hero from anti-hero. Then Orochimaru comes along and de-rails him. Had he not done that Sasuke might have actually abandoned his revenge quest.
