Well, I do recall that they were pushing Toriko hard, up to the point it was being pushed by One Piece themselves. That's like wow, does it really need that amount of push. That's Hulk Hogan passing the torch level of push. Oddly enough, the one that ended up getting the best of it is Assassination Classroom, though I heard they don't want to push it because it has an endpoint that can sooner than later. Anyway, the anime went out and so did the popularity. Nana played a character that from what I heard hardly featured in the manga at all. I think that's what I heard. Either way, that didn't help.
Now, believe it or not, it's dueling with BnHA.

I don't really think Nana Mizuki has any heavy blame on this. She got very popular due to the Nanoha series and thanks to this a lot of anime producers try to use and overhype her voice to lure fans and things like that. It's their main fault in first place
Doesn't change the fact that her voice sounds like the screeching wail of a dying walrus. I'd rather listen to Skip Bayless drone on and on about Tebow than listen to her voice.

Sakura was very sad and down when she entered the Chunin Exams and Sasuke noticed, he figures out a Genjutsu set up by the two Chinun and tells Sakura she "probably realized it first since she is the best at detecting Genjutsu".
You would be right but he had a genuine smile once he realized she wasn't sad anymore and you are right its only once

Anyway, surely Kishi was so stressed and afraid that his series would become less and less popular, that he listened to all what the others told him to do in order to do 'better' than Eichiiro Oda...or somethig like this.

Yeah you can't really fault Nana even if her popularity was part of the reason why things happened the way that they did. She was just a voice actress doing her job

Popularity choice is the key to him. But not for the story. In a way, that's how you can dodge hate if people only cares for their character preference over story preference.
