Why, oh why didn't you slaughter the Hyuugas Itachi?!? You would have saved the entire ninja world....

 

Is it bad that I want to take Sakura far far away from this manga? Poor girl doesn't deserve to be suddenly replaced as the heroine by the Bloody Princess 'I-ve-got-big-kittens-love-me-Nardo-kun'. Where was she when Sakura kittenslapped Kaguya?!  Where was she when Naruto was in cardiac arrest?! WHERE WAS SHE DURING THE IT?!? SHE WAS DREAMING OF HUGGLING NARDO-KUN!!!!!! (while passing time kissing rocks)

At this point I would love for Sakura to tell everybody in Konoha to kitten off and die and go off to conquer a country...ALONE because apparently team 7 count for kitten....

I'm hating this manga now, so much.

And that's basically how I've been looking at every shounen manga since the ending of Naruto. Not literally, of course, but in the, "What if they pull a Kishi?    " way. And now I can't bring myself to read any. 

 

Let's turn 'Kishi' into slang. 

 

Kishi (also Kishmoto), slang, n, the act of suddenly and without warning changing the course of a story at the last minute. 

Example: "Dude, that guy totally pulled a Kishi! I'm never reading his work again."

I think you are spot on, Tricksie. Naruto was lying to himself then. But that's what frustrates me. Sakura had the measure of Sasuke. And in the fight against Kaguya, you could definitely see her concerns and worries about what Sasuke would do. She's right, she understands the threat he poses. But when he makes direct claims to kill her teacher and best friend, she blows it off and turns into a fangirl again. It's heartbreaking to see such a strong woman reduced to an overly emotional girl.

 

I agree that Kishi is a bad writer. It reminds me a bit of LOST. There was so much mythology and secrets and things in LOST that could be read underneath the underneath. But in the end, the writers were throwing crap on the page to see what happened with no real vision. The same thing happened with Naruto.

 

You're so right. I forgot about those moments in the battle. She and Sai both noticed things were not right with Sasuke. But it went nowhere. She just flips like a switch at the end (or so we are supposed to believe/accept).

 

And yes. LOST is a perfect example. It started off so strong, but in the only thing that connected the plot was its pointlessness.

 

Naruto seems to have gone the same way.

Lol hold up...I gotta make a "How the Kishi stole christmas." Edit. 

Make it a "Gimple" and a "Kishi." One is where a character is assassinated just as they were going somewhere, and the other is destroying an entire work

Gimple killed Beth just as she was turning into the New sherrif in town, and Kishi just nuked everything.
