I wonder if it was an april fool , since that news came out around that time and I couldn't find any source on the internet.
Didn't he say in an interview that after he finishes Naruto that he wants to spend time with his family? I think he mentioned that the first thing he would do is to finally take his wife on a honeymoon since his work on Naruto has kept him from doing so.
I'm not sure that a guy who's looking forward to having free time would already start thinking about his next work.
No, it doesn't make me feel better. Sakura/Karin and NS/SK parallels do nothing for me.
That's because you don't believe enough. KILL THE NON BELIEVER!!!
Well, Naruto, you've just about got your girl. But remember, there's a price that comes with a girlfriend.
The Price
Oh I get it, he sold his girlfriend into slavery. That's smart.
But really, Sakura is the kind of girl that sticks for life and will support you when in trouble, so no lost of investment there. We can only hope to get so lucky.

Could it be we have been reading the manga differently? Could it be that Sakura doesn't have no feelings at all for Sasuke and Kishi just made her somehow move on, "Off-panel"? Could it mean that the "girlfriend" comment made by minato and naruto's response was really true? There is so many questions to be honest, yet no concrete answers. Watch kishi just make Naruto and Sakura get together and do a flashback on how Sakura got over Sasuke
At least kishi addresses NS for story plots, I mean the whole reveal to her from Sai and what Sasuke was doing, well the funny thing is, he still gave sakura development off the land of iron to where we are now and its funny how for many saying NS died in the land of iron, just how ironic is it that even if it were true, he continues NS as "friendship" than even building NH?
This is what strikes me that no one in those fandoms even once considered this fact susicpous, its like okay so NH is going to be canon? Well kishi, how come you still do this NS stuff? I mean if 631 is a joke and the 663 scene is just friendship, then how come hinata is still hardly anywhere to be seen? Thats the main break in logic right there.

I also took in consideration that possibility but the message it will pass is that she chose Naruto because she could not be with Sasuke.Could it be we have been reading the manga differently? I think the summit sums up that she still loves him despite him being evil.
Kishi can make Sakura fall in love with Naruto after the war arc in a certain event and probably might use Karin to make Sakura move on, if you remember those girls know that they both love Sasuke but Karin is basically the path if Sakura choses to pursue Sasuke.

I know we've talked about it enough but it still bugs the crap out of me so I'm bringing it up again
Still don't like how in 540 when it comes to love Sakura was thinking of the man she had a schoolgirl crush on whom she's only seen twice and who tried to kill her multiple times, and yet Naruto the one who has always been there didn't seem to factor in at all. It makes all the development throughout part 2 seem....insignificant. I'm starting to think Sakura harbors no romantic feelings for Naruto I mean the only evidence of that we have to go on now is Yamato's implication and that was 8 years ago and since then she's been thinking less about Naruto and more about Sasuke.

How does it give you that message if it is shown by her in a flashback that she doesn't have feelings for Sasuke anymore how do you exactly imagine that flashback ? And at same time you think its ok for her to move on just because of Karin's love for Sasuke ? What your talking about is basically the same thing it doesn't make any sense .

At the bolded . Are you kidding me here ? If not i think you should really reread all of part 2 or even better check the NS build up thread no offense .
In these war the whole time she was thinking about was Naruto's safety more then once , how to ease his burdens , his dreams . Please show me a panel of her doing that for Sasuke .
And about 540 first she says that she has someone else and she looks happy about that but then the guy says that who ever she likes must be a great guy and the mere thought of ever loving someone like Sasuke makes her feel like crap . The point of 540 IMO was not that she loved Sasuke "so much" but the fact that she ever loved someone like him made her feel bad about herself , but if you think this is a bad thing for NS then be my guest

If i remember on the summit she said the same thing and we all know how it turned out saying she doesnt have feelings for Sasuke anymore =/= saying that she doenst have feelings for him anymore, and to finish that's why a moment where she falls in love with Naruto is more plausible than her taking decision and realizing things by herself because Sakura never did that on the story.
Also on the summit she acknowledged that deep inside she had feelings for Sasuke and that's why she was aware she would fail on her mission.
I bought Karin because she's now what Sakura would be if she still wants to be Sasuke's girlfriend, trying her best to please Sasuke and getting nothing in return.

And people say that Pierrot ships NH. Sorry, but no dice. Pierrot ships NS and are fans of Hinata as an individual.
Yeah, that's the video that came to mind when I saw that girlfriend meme. The way I see it one day Naruto is spending way too much on Sakura (but it makes him happy), and the next day Sakura decides to show her appreciation with a gift or a nice dinner she makes.
That's the type of girl that's worth fighting for.

I will go with my notion that she doesn't like Sasuke anymore and that what we all thought was romance was just NH friendship(haha). I doesn't make sense for her to like Sasuke this far down in the story. I believe she moved on.
I'd tread carefully if I were you. Last time I made that assumption I got reminded that she still harbors feelings for him.

BUT think about it, if Kishi really intend for NS to happen WHY would Sakura still DEEPLY( as darkest said) be in love with Sasuke. Doesn't make sense at all. We are far in the story, almost done so I don't understand.I'd tread carefully if I were you. Last time I made that assumption I got reminded that she still harbors feelings for him.

oh no, Sakura's love for Sasuke won't just fade. It'll be a really big plotpoint in the next arc, and she'll be the centre of it. I want Kishi to wrap it up properly in order to eliminate every bit of her feelings for him, and our suspiscions of them.

If what you said happens then I won't mind. I don't mind kishi having a arc dedicated to team 7.

Because how can she say that?

On this i agree that a moment when she realizes that she loves Naruto is more plausible but i also wouldn't exclude a moment when she resolves her lingering feelings for Sasuke simply because in the summit i don't think she had the time for that think about her feelings overall and besides until then she didn't saw Sasuke for the man he was so i think it was logical for her to have those feelings still . But Now i think its a different playground .
It seems i have misread what you were trying to say about the Karin Sakura part i thought you were saying that Sakura seeing Karin's love for him would make her back of of him because she has no chance with him not because she will see how awful her love is so sorry about that but such a scenario i think is highly impossible since it seems that Kishi is pushing SK along with NS . And i wouldn't say that they were doing the same things for him and the way they act around him is very much different .
And people say that Pierrot ships NH. Sorry, but no dice. Pierrot ships NS and are fans of Hinata as an individual.

Very much agree with everything , also i would include a gift for after the diner also if you know what i mean

I'm very much of this same opinion. I have thought for a long time that in truth Sakura has resolved her feelings for Sasuke long ago, but as readers we're only privy to certain aspects of her feelings, same with Naruto. Enough information to make assumptions, but still vague enough that it can support multiple conclusions (NS, SS, NH, SK, etc.). And yeah, as much as Kishimoto likes to unveil information in flashbacks, I bet that there will be some battlefield surprise kiss, in real time, followed by a flashback explaining how they got there.
My theory is that Sakura no longer loves Sasuke, and she already fully recognizes her love for Naruto. But she thinks Naruto now loves Hinata, and vice versa. So at the end of the war she decides to step aside for Naruto and Hinata's blossoming romance, swallowing her feelings just as Naruto did for her and Sasuke in Part 1, when Naruto surprises her with a kiss on the forehead.
Sakura would have a flashback of her change of heart leading up to her decision to support Naruto's choice, which would be bittersweet for the readers as we would have assumed as well (probably through some revisited NH interaction) that Naruto had chosen Hinata. But then Naruto would surprise her with his steadfast love, and then his flashback would go through his lifetime of feelings for her, acknowledging all the times when we hoped for an NS moment, but didn't get one.
That's my hope anyway. That scenario would be a satisfactory ending for me.

@tricksie You know your theory sounds plausible, however it's annoying that the moment you're talking about could've been done now. But no Kishi decided to drag out the drama even more. The fact of the matter is that NS has become way to obvious to drag out the drama even more. And this is what annoyed me about the latest chapter.
Which I've told you - time and time again - is dangerous! There will never be consensus, son, among those you have helped to ascend. They will all differ in their views of what it means to be free. The peace you so desperately seek does not exist.
These men are united now by a common cause. But when this battle is finished they will fall to fighting amongst themselves about how best to ensure control. In time it will lead to war. You will see.
