It's going uphill again ^^

But I can imagine that last year must have been boring for many people

 

I'll admit it did have a slow arc this year, but for the past few months things are getting interesting again. Won't spoil what's going on for those who haven't read it because it's pretty insane.

I'm soo excited ^_^ But we don't get a chapter this week, right?

And man, how can we wait until 2016 for this new anime. I don't freaking care about the weird movie adaptation with the real cast; I don't know half of the characters.

I thought the movie was supposed to be released in two days...

I don't care if saying this makes me look small-minded or salty or whatever.. I hope this pathetic movie flops big time and Kishimoto / SP fall on their faces just like their favorite character did in 662.

I can't believe that Sakura was willing to give up naruto's dream to be hokage, her parents and friends for this jerk who could not take the pain as a man, almost killed Naruto countless times and herself 3, wanting to destroy her village and friends. She has learned nothing from part 1 when the jerk abandoned her (I think she wanted to with him) for his own selfishness. This is character regression at its finest.

 

Lady Gt's doujinshi makes her character go full circle when she realizes her feeling for Naruto and what love truly means which is a logical development.

 

@aizen I know what you mean but it was also that he was showing signs of interests in her. I don't think its a coincidence that Naruto was not here to see that.

It's boring to the start to the end. Same as the characters, I can't find anyone interesting, same as their "stories". And the theme in general is boring. It's a variation of zombie thing.

You're not being salty for hoping than an asspulled movie that completely disses canon and disrespects Naruto and Sakura flops. Moneymoto did a complete 180 and wants us to suddenly accept naruhina now after leading us on with NaruSaku.
I hope very much that this movie doesn't do well or at least harbors some negative reviews.

So far nobody on mangahelpers have updated any spoilers for the next chapter so I'm gonna take my guess and say that we'll see it sometime next week. There's a lot I can talk about, but that would require spoiling major things and nobody wants that for a series like AOT. 

 

I had thought the anime would make it's return sometime in 2015 because from what I heard the anime would slowly pick up after Volume 16 releases. I did post Volume 15's cover in the AOT thread if you wanted to check it out, but yeah 2016 will be a long wait. Though we are getting the Levi Spin Off Part 1 special which I'm really looking forward to since I've read it. That character's just got a lot of respect out me after I read it. I think the Levi anime special comes out this month if I'm not mistaken. 

 

As far as the live action movie goes I really don't care about it either mainly cause half the cast are basically filler characters and they have no impact on the story whatsoever.

Then I guess it's your personal taste. That's ok. I've got a friend who's not a big fan of the series either.

But keep in mind that it is exactly this "zombie thing" theme that made all this possible:

- manga is not just currently the second most successful manga in Japan

- has sold 45 million copies so far

- is pretty much almost every week in the NY times bestseller list

- anime was so successful that it inspired two movie adaptations and another one with a real cast (this can't turn out good)

- has one the Kondasha Manga Award in 2011

That is indeed an amazing history the manga had so far in it's five year run course.

You're not being salty it's just honesty, Which I can get. I may sound salty on some of my posts, but i'm just being honest with everyone. Besides it's kinda funny you mention Hinata tripping since Kishi not only cause, but makes her character fall in that particular chapter.

Well Naruto has been serialized since 1999. It's fandom is pretty loyal to the series (this might change thx to the ending and kitten movie), but keep in mind that at least in Japan the numbers have dropped lately. I believe that if the manga had continued on, it would experience the same fate as Bleach- at least in Japan.

I've heard about HunterxHunter, and I'm pretty sure it is a great series. The thing about HunterxHunter is that the author is constantly putting the manga on hiatus (do you know why?), and people forget about it.The anime just ended b/c of the manga break the author took. I know that it is a critically acclaimed series. Correct me if I'm mistaken.

Anyways, there's not point in further discussing this b/c AoT does not belong in this thread.

To be honest I don't think anyone knows why Hunter x Hunter is constantly on hiatus anymore. At first we knew it was health issues but this has been going on for years and it seems like he's not improving? Furthermore if this is the case then I don't see why he can't end the story early or write it in it's entirety and let someone else draw it out. I mean any Hunter x Hunter manga fans here? You guys remember the underdeveloped manga pages right? It's excusable but not to the point where it's constantly happening.
