Actually, seems like it may be worse than we thought. Rumor has it that the spoilers did a big damage.

Damage of what nature? And what could be the extent of it?

Not yet, wait for two week to one month. Than we can judge it.A bit of breaking news: apparently tickets aren't sold out after all.
I don't think it would flop. Not with this heavy advertisement and naruto ending hype.

Word has it that the spoilers did the damage and people are either getting refund or getting it cancelled. To be honest, I had defend the series to the fullest but I'll say that this series was slipping down the hill since the beginning of this year or perhaps even before. I excused it with Attack of Titan rises, but the more I look at it, the more that it seems like it was entering Bleach phase at certain point. But anyway, I'll share my thoughts before the official release, stay tuned.

If that's the case then this is certainly necessary:

Ok, I know many people in here doubt the woman with the poster, but I don't care. If you don't believe her, ignore this post. If you are interested, read this (This is her opinion, so I can't confirm whether or not it's true):
The naruto the last movie is not sold out everywhere as they say it is here in japan…there is actually too many seats available for the movie that it is actually sad….For example..i will show you yokohama toho theater and this is for 9:00 to 11:05~ notice how many seats are available? the darken seats are the ones reserved and to be honest i am not surprised at this…also there are many other theaters having people get refunds and if not canceling their ticket reservations because of spoilers and because of hinata. SO…this is one hard evidence i can supply with to fans of hinata out there that no matter what is being said that “many japanese love hinata” well..this ought to clear the air on that.

I assume we're getting our news from the same reliable source, NS4Life. Well, it's not just tickets that have been performing unexpectedly to what the marketers and Kishi intended. Supposedly there's quite a number of fans who were unsatisfied with the ending's heavy emphasis on child rearing, marriages, and the lack of an in-depth look into the careers of many characters after the timeskip.
Well we can only hope right? But I would still expect opening night to be a sell out, it's everything from Day two that is important. When you look at the stuff that's really popular right now in Japan, there has been an increase in strong independant women, and the MC are not the typical weak sauce that end up with an unintentional harem. You look at Devil is a part timer, Yahri Snafu, Trinity Seven, and even High School DxD, and I think Clash of Titans, the males don't follow the mold set for them for years, and the females are all strong, in many cases stronger than the male leads, yeah we still get the perverted scenes, but they aren't your typical, always need rescuing damsel in distress. It says allot about a movie when a perverted Harem LN series like DxD has better romance.
They look so cute together, but a complete fabrication, Sakura hated Naruto at this point, we aren't about to forget her words from chapter 3, she didn't know Naruto at all, disliked him at that point. She was best friends with Ino at that point so would be sitting next to her...I guess we should be grateful they remembered the ribbon, though it doesn't look very red in that grab, but that could be lighting.

Damn that's certainly saying a lot about the movie then. It's no surprise that the majoritiy of the japanese fanbase is reacting like this. They've got every right to after the travesty of the manga's ending. For all of those fans I give them my absolute gratitude. If this indeed is true then I guess now there's something to tell Ria, she's been wanting to hear something new regarding The Last ever since those NaruHina moon kiss spoiler pics came out yesterday.

Well I've never read Attack on Titan or Bleach so I can't pretend to have any understanding as to the ups and downs of those respective series. But it is very pleasing to hear that not everyone is blindly following Pierrot's blatant extortion methods with the advertisements and the Mizuki girl. Perhaps the fans of Naruto in Japan have a larger streak of observation, critical thinking, and avoidance than what some of us may have initially believed. Hopefully it continues onward into the coming weeks and months.

I just realized the futility of arguing with fullhearted NaruHina fans... They'll never accept what you give them in the manga and yet they'll never give anything to convince that you're wrong.
Naruhina fans don't give a kitten. Most of them even know their pairing was asspulled. As long as they have their one-page manga canon and fanservice movie they're happy.
I for one will never understand why so many fans wanted Naruto with a one-dimensional minor character who barely barely appeared over the smart and awesome pink haired heroine that he loved. kitten this series and its fandom.

If you ever plan starting AoT, seriously, start with the anime, and then continue on with the manga. It's not a lighthearted series, but I believe you will like it very much. Political and Social Principles are heavily explored in this manga next to the survival of the humanity.

Honestly, wtf did the Sasuke liking her forehead scene come from ?
Its mindblowing that the forehead scene from ch3 was never resolved. I have always expected Sakura to realize that Naruto was the one who made the compliment... Amnesia no jutsu

It wasn't about liking her forehead it was about doing the same thing to her that Itachi did to him when he was little. Itachi was the only one Sasuke ever gave a kitten about in the manga so I guess Kikitten believed forehead-poking Sakura would make up for all the horrible things he did to her.
It was OOC for Sasuke who wanted to kill everyone only moments before and OOC for Sakura for blushing and asking the psychopath to take her with him.
Horrible...I still can't forget that terrible face she made. >.< It will haunt my ass forever.

Exactly allot of the NaruHina fans are like um....OK not the best example but like fans of Orihime/Ishida or Orihime/Ulquirro fans, they liked the pairing because they liked the two charactors (or liked just one of the charactors) and thought they'd look good together. For allot of them it was an unrealistic pairing but they liked the idea of it, So for them the NH or SS getting together was a added bonus, they don't care how it happened, it happened and that is all they care about, they don't care about the movie, because for most of them, they just wanted to win.
Another thing I found when I first got into the manga was quite a few NaruHina fans were less actual fans of NaruHina as they were Anti-Sakura, they merily wanted Hinata to win because she was the Anti-Sakura in the manga. I don't know if that stayed the case, because I just ignored the haters and didn't really pay attention to them, but at the beginning, I used to see the argument, Hinata should win because she's not Sakura so often.
What SP and Kishi failed to realise is that the truest fans of the series are the NaruSasu and NaruSaku fans, because for them the bond betweens Naruto and his teammates was what sold them, they based their pairings on the actual content of the series, not the personal opinion they formed on their analysis on how much they liked each charactor.
Not saying all NH fans are like that, but many of them do appear to act like that's how they thought.
Not yet, wait for two week to one month. Than we can judge it.

The Movie industry is allot like the Games industry, the majority of the takings happen over the opening week, many movies will disappear from the listings even as little as two weeks after launch, IF that opening weekend is not a sell out the movie will not recover, ofcourse there is still a day to go, and the door tickets will be enough to sell out opening day. But if it doesn't do as well as RtN at the very least they will be dissapointed.
