Just finish reading chapter 10 , somehow i have a feeling that there is other villain behind the camera , some kind of puppet master that pitting Eris and Athena against each other , i feel like both use to get a long but this third identity poison Eris mind (maybe this pope). And besides , god can't die right ? it's weird that in this manga they can die. And sending gold saint into the heart of the enemy base this soon ... kind of a bit rushy. I'm not really good at judging , it's just what i think. I don't really like the idea that only few people protecting Athena ... like seriously the gold saint protecting the pope while Athena only have 2-3 foot soldier protecting her , isn't she the most important ?

1- Could be possible that someone is pulling the strings, but who knows.

 

2 . Indeed Athena is important(a little Spoiler) , but her Sanctuary think that she is fake while many of her Saints believe that the true Athena is in the Sanctuary I wonder why?

 

3. To sent a Gold Saint  was a good choice to kill a god because is the elite though it was not enough.

4. Phantom is right a god can't die unless find the original body and I still in doubt it.

So that pope is bad guy after all ... when a character introduce in manga 90% of a time when they wear mask or the face is not showed pretty much guarantee a villain. I wonder if that pope has double personality or being possess. I still don't understand the purpose of the tournament , why Athena expose herself like that when she didn't have her cosmo power , it's like asking for dead , she should lay low and stay hidden until her power is restored. And to be honest i for one don't really like the battle / fight in this manga .... i don't know it feels bland i prefer close combat rather than range magic combat , close combat felt more real because the author need to think how the character will move , range magic combat is just pointing hands at each other from distance.

First all in what chapter you are?

 

Saintia Sho follows the same line as the canon story, so you found out that the Pope is a bad guy, but not the bad guy for Saintia Sho I don't want you spoil you so much. That is why I am asking what chapter are you reading.

 

 

About the Tournament as I told you Sho follows the line of the original series meaning that they will mention the Tournament, but they won't get in big details. Tough I can recommend you what episodes from the anime you can watch you can fill your doubts.

 

 

Here some reasons for the Tounament (crareful big spoilers):

 

 

In the Anime.

 

They fight just to win the Golden Armor of Sagittarius and Saori can convince who win the Golden Armor and help her to save the world.

 

In the Manga:

 

Win the Golden Armor and protect her as Athena, in the Anime doesn't know who is Athena.

 

 

No Magic, Cosmos. True they attack in in long range, but still  the Saints perform a physical hit. For Example Shoko learned the Equuleus Ryu Sei ken throws 100 punches at the  sound speed.  

 

 Still you right, sometimes I wish in Saint Seiya to see more close combat.

To understand a Gold Saint is something interesting. Two things that we can say about them is that they are the elite to protect Athena and they their own sense of justice. There is episode that explain Death Mask Gold Saint of Cancer, believe or not his sense of justice is justify, is rough and wrong, but still is justice. Let me study a fan who describe very good his person and I will bring more information about him.

 

 

So you are in chapter 18 I see. So you already knew Seiya the MC of Saint Seiya and inspired Shoko to not give up in Chapter 14 and 15. Hey do you want to see the fight between Dragon Saint vs Pegasus Seiya? In anime here some taste of this:

That is right Seiya is MC and if you want to see the battle Seiya vs dragon  the fight begins on episode 4.

Not yet bud the only we have that will be in 2018 and that who knows. Looks like that your favorite project will be the remake.
