Thanks for the translation, @Ramenanmitsu! That made me feel a lot better.  I suppose when you put Naruto's last line in present perfect and that Naruto sees himself a only doing "alright" then it's natural in his character to want to do better than that. That means complete all of his mother's advice and work harder to be with Sakura.

 

As the for the next chapter, I really, really want to see all the characters come to terms with reality of the IT and especially see Hinata give up on Naruto. It's literally now or never. If Kishi doesn't let her move on very soon through this dream, then she's never going to change.

 

I really don't want that for her. For a character that's so Naruto-obsessed, moving on from him is the best direction. I hope Kishimoto doesn't make her keep her feelings for absolutely no reason.

 

 

I'm hopeful for Hinata to move on, but also cautious. I expect more NaruHina in the coming chapters (one-sided or otherwise) ... that's gonna be a treat.

But for real, I think I'd like Hinata way more if she got over Naruto and focused on her clan more and gained more confidence, I'm getting really sick of the naruto obsessiveness and selfishness she has, it's highly annoying, and to top it off, the animators/game creators hype her up and give her all the spotlight for literally nothing :| Hinata had so much potential

Hinata by herself is a bad character, no doubt, but I think my absolute loathing of her comes from the fandom's hypocrisy and overhype of her that should've gone to our queen instead

Prediction time! Before I go to sleep, here are what I came up with:

-Hagoromo will have his last words with Team 7
-Hagoromo explains the missing pieces from his story including Hamura
-Hagoromo will deactivate the IT (that man...)
-Sasuke will deactivate the IT (that man...)
-IT already deactivated, so the Alliance can be gathered at the area.
-Bijuus will have discussion on what's next with them.
-Sasuke reveals his plan.
-Hagoromo's farewell.
-Sasuke revealed that he has always been good, just misled the readers (imagine that...don't know why is in here).

Well, that's all I can think of for now. Or is it? Well, let's go NH/SS! I can sense it.

To be honest the only female character I really care about is Sakura. I like the other girls and would like for them to get some development, but Sakura should come first seeing as she's part of the main cast, yet has the most haters.( Or so it seems.) Until Kishi starts giving her proper respect, I don't really care for the other girls development.

 

In terms of NS, I hope something will come up soon, but I worry that since part 2 seems to be coming to a close, Kishi will throw one last bone to NH/SS before finalizing NS. I really hope that's not the case, but I can't put it past him to try and throw one more curve ball before he ends everything. I mean just this chapter he made Naruto very vague, even though when this topic was brought up in 631, Naruto had little qualms calling Sakura his gf.

 

Not to mention he's given NH, SS, KakaSaku, and hell even ObiSaku moments( regardless if it was out of panel placement.), but the most NS moments we got were Naruto and Sakura thanking each other.( for different reasons.) NS is clearly the way he wishes to go, but he's just doing any and everything to stop it from finalizing, even though he's practically stated the two will get together several times over.

 

Point is, Kishi needs to stop p**sy footing around and deal with this kitten romantic sub plot he created.
