It's true that Kishimoto said that many could die in this war but I believe that his murdering job is ended with Neji's death. Neji's death was foreshadowed by the fact that he was the only rookie who hadn't some mental speech in the infamous chapter 573.

Now that some great ninja like Hashirama, Tobirama, Sarutobi, Minato, Sasuke and Orochimaru are there in battleflied, I would find very uncertain that Kishi could let die others.

I can't believe that Naruto could let die his Sakura-chan here!

You kinda are true here. In the end, that was before the whole fiasco of the murderings, lol.

Honestly, I think Kakashi or Obito are more likely to die, given their situation.

Not only because of that but because of what Kishi said in that interview. It isn't out of nowhere.

Just because he said that there will be characters dying in this war? Neji died, tsunade is about to die, so why should he kill even more? Next thing is it wouldnt really make sense for the story especially now that the sakura/kushina parallel is confirmed, Naruto finally reached the goal of sakura (the girl whos likes his mother) loving him back, but then in the end she suddenly dies. 10 years of pairing development wasted. Guess not.

Shadow Wolf

I did have a response made to address your points but I've decided against it. I refuse to continue in this debate on the basis that the time expended in perpetuating it is not worth the effort. I am very skeptical if it would even produce any altered opinions due to our conflicting interpretations of events and I just don't enjoy being in arguments that last for several consecutive hours (especially during the night).

Call it a concession if you wish.

If I could give you two criticism, Atheck. I want to give them to you about some of your logic.

1. First I want to ask, do you truly believe in the argument of "possibilities?" You say this several times, but then you say that the only way the Pein fight could have ended is with Hinata getting involved. It's kind of hypocrisy if you ask me. If you accept all possibilities, then you have to accept all possibilities even ones you don't agree with. Like I said to you before, Kishi could have written the scene many different ways both with and without Hinata, but he didn't. All we have is what he did do. We want to argue facts, but we're going into interpretation rather than facts. You even say this yourself. Just because you want to give Hinata this respect doesn't mean Kishi has to and I don't believe he is going to. Like Shadow said, if Minato were going to thank Hinata for her actions he would have to thank everyone for their actions and so on and so forth. Iruka played just as much an important part too, but no one seems to want to thank him.

2. I am not too fond of the "indirectly" argument. I could easily say Jiraiya indirectly saved Naruto because he handed him the Sage mode ability to fight Pein with. Or even more recent that Minato has indirecty saved naruto's life by sealing the Nine-tails in him. I do not like counting "indirects" because you can apply this to anyone and anything to make it sound "legit." It's too generalized and I could easily use bias to manipulate it. "Well, if Sakura didn't heal Hinata, she would have died and 615 would be a different story. So Sakura saved Naruto in 615." See? Like that. It would technically be true, but you would tell me I am not looking at it right or it is just my interpretation.

This is why I stopped arguing with you because at times it seems like you were just making excuses for Hinata's failures. "Here heart was in the right place." Everyone's hearts are in the right place, doesn't mean they don't screw up.

Now you know what come up in my mind? SInce Sai has the same treatment as that's Neji in 573 by Kishimoto, I fear for him... I wonder if his odd absence is likely to have the same meaning as that's absence of Neji in 573.... :/

Ohh, not to forget: Sakura dying would also just have the same outcome as the rin obito story, so i dont really see any need for kishi to repeat all that.

Same with tsunade and jiraya, and minato and kushina. In all of this relationships there was someone who die (or both died), so why should kishi repeat that with naruto and sakura?

That makes no sense, because it just has no happy end effect.

I didn't say kill her off for good. Just temporarily.

Anyway, I guess we should get past this as it seems no one got the idea I wanted to expose here.

Anyway, I asked you about the battle axe, sometimes in the previous pages.

Did you see it? If yes, what do you think? If not, let me know so I can relink you. :)

I don't see how she can die temporarily though. I don't want another rinne tensei revival from Obito because that would just be another copy of the Pain arc.

I'm thinking badly injured to make people think she's dead but then she regenerates back before dying. Like a boss.

At the moment I'm worried about Sai as well.  :(

As for Sakura's name, Chatte is right about the association of cherry blossoms with Samurai and death, sybolizing drops of blood.  Cherry blossoms were also used by Kamikaze pilots.  So there is a long history there of her name being connected with nationalism and death in battle.

However, cherry blossoms are also symbolic of spring.  Of purity and simplicity -- you know, like Naruto's feelings for her  :) --  and new beginnings, including... weddings.  :wow:   And they also symbolize transition.  That's a fun one to ponder....

So considering her last name also contains haru, or spring, I would lean toward assuming Kishimoto is conjuring a positive image with her name(s) and not a scary/negative one.

Guys.

She's not gonna die.

Kishi didn't reunite Team 7 just to kill them off. And if he DOES kill them off then there will be a Dragonball resurrection.

Naruto would never allow himself to be Hokage if Sakura was lying dead. There is just no way. And we all know the Manga will end with Naruto being Hokage.

The 3 legendary Sannin were the only ones to survive out of their group and it may be no different here. If anything we stand more a chance of watching the rookies be picked off one by one and this includes little Hinata-chan.

Also, we have to remember, Sakura was able to heal herself in the Sasori fight without Mystical Palm or hand seals when she had the sword in her gut. Let me say that again. She was able to do something only Tsunade and the 1st have done. EVER. She may not have speed but she's a damn brick house that can heal itself. She durable as hell and tough to finish off. I really don't see her dying, UNLESS she manages to take the focus off EVERYONE ELSE on the field.
