Btw, a trend I've noticed is the hero ends up with the shy awkward girl typically in most high school manga, sakurasou no pet na kanojo, angel beats etc.

Supporting a pairing does not always mean that they think it will be canon.
80-90% of shonen magas end with hero + heroine tsundere. So why bother. There will always be fans who believe something different.

A search over at the Japanese version of Google says otherwise. Many forums were talking about how they were happy that NH was canon and now SS could be developed.
And so we're just going to discount the other 10-20%?

Lol well this is a funny morning I'm seeing. An opposite mood from yesterday.

True, though the main character is usually like "Sigh, it's boring. I want something...new" kind of guy. They're not Naruto-like though they do have as side character as the main character is like a guy who either don't know why he's there or don't care until developments. The main girl is usually awkward or hyper energetic and they drag the main character by their awkwardness or literally being dragged.

In some school mangas it might, but I think the tsundere is just as popular. Actually, the high school mangas I've seen that have the tsundere vs shy girl for love interest has a tendency to prefer the tsundere.

In some school mangas it might, but I think the tsundere is just as popular. Actually, the high school mangas I've seen that have the tsundere vs shy girl for love interest has a tendency to prefer the tsundere.

Meh, I probably haven't watched enough anime to make a good opinion but I still root for the tsundere mainly, lol.

you're talking about Kishimoto? Anyway I don't know anything about this... I just remember that in his studio for RTN interviews he had a Sakura keychain on his desk...

Since when is every japanese fan saying what pairing he prefers through web?
Just because there are forums with japanese NH fans, or google says so doesnt mean that the majority supports NH an wants it to be canon.

My point being that there exists many Japanese fans who believe such pairings as SS or NH will become canon, and we shouldn't generalize based on what is "typical" in the shonen genre.
