Which is why I don't get why Viz would write "on a totally different level".

 

Such an expression is used when something has become more powerful than before, which is not appropriate if the intention was to establish Sakura's feelings as platonic.

 

Viz didn't even try to make it vague, they literally chose to deliver to opposite meaning about Sakura's feelings. That level of mistranslation should not be done, which is why I asked if there was a chance one could unintentionally twist the meaning in the original raw to imply that Sakura's feelings for Sasuke got stronger.

While not the best choice of words, you could still say that level as in which level not in a higher level. Like let's say Sakura already hit 10 which is romantic love. Now she's in a level of a sibling or just close friends.

Honest question:

 

If you read 675 in a vacuum (as in not taking into consideration the rest of the story and Sakura's development), is there any actual chance one could interpret Kakashi's words as Sakura's love becoming mature?

No. Even if have no knowledge of what's been going on, you don't know the characters etc. The conclusion remains final. This character called Sakura wants to save this other character called Sasuke from the darkness, just like this other character called Naruto. That even to this day I still have no clue why. This is what we understand from the character called Kakashi.

it's the same as they mistranslated kushina's words about the advice on girls.... Why they did a such thing? Increasing pairing wars? Even though I think that Viz' translator makes some errors sometimes.... their translation aren't perfect, not only regarding pairing stuff, but in general....

LOL Pretty much SS in a nutshell XD . The thing with this interpretation and why it doesn't make sense is that even if Sasuke said "Thanks to You" that thanks would be meant for Obito since he's the one that Sasuke was having a conversation with not Sakura if it was Sakura he was talking with then yes they can say that but that wasn't the case .

 

Either way Sasuke was being thankful to the vest being there and his ability that helped him with this situation . it could also be interpreted as Sasuke just being thankful of the situation that helped him get out of there but that doesn't mean he's thanking Obito and Sakura bc the situation for how the vest happened to be there was not done on purpose by them(Obito and Sakura) but it was bc of coincidental circumstances  . 

 

BTW Sasu - Vest Chan and Hina - Rock Kun are my OTP's now they so fit together

Choose the translation you like. TakL is the safe pick.
But I can say, there wasn't any "lucky me" like the others have stated.

I love the fact that fans (because at this point we all know who we're talking about) think it changed from Like to Love when it was apparently Love back in Part 1

It's safe that way. Translators get involved in a lot of fandom war without them knowing, so they try to make it vague as possible. If I, or 六道仙人 were in his position, we'd probably do the same.

For example, my translation regarding this scene could be taken advantage from a SS fan, they can post it on their tumblr or twitter or NF. If that happens, opposing forces(anti-SS) would brand me as a SS fan, and I will lose all credibility as a biased translator, even if I wasn't.
