He's basically dissing every single company except for Bungie, since they made a deal with him. He's saying that the other companies have to play catch-up to his. As the CEO, he's forgetting that he's in his position right now because consoles made him successful.
Bobby Kotick's been an arrogant prick for as long as I've been aware of him. He's such a smug piece of s*** that I just wish someone would punch the arrogance out of him, kind of like how I wish the same would happen to Glenn Beck. I keep wishing his BS would end up sinking Activision into a hole, but not such luck; they'd rather eat Activisions s*** to get their fix of whatever franchise they like than vote with their wallets for any real change in how they do things.
It's at the point where if I see something is being published by Activision, I find myself needing to think long and hard about just how much I want said game and lately my general disgust with Activision has been winning out.
*sigh* Yeah.
I'm losing hope we're ever going to see another System Shock, much less ever see SHODAN again.
Personally I'd rather another Bioshock be put off to make a new System Shock, but that's just me.

I love that they're switching it up from the depths of the sea to the steampunk inspired skies; but I honestly miss the series the Bioshocks are based on so much that I'd just rather have another System Shock first.
SHODAN was an awesome villain.

To sum the System Shock series in a nutshell, they were under-appreciated masterpieces that were way ahead of their time but sadly overlooked. The first game was basically overshadowed by DOOM, despite doing everything that game did and a lot more (such as actually having a story; as well as pulling off things like files and such long before games like Resident Evil popularized them). I honestly can't figure out why the second didn't take off; most of the things that had become standard and hailed as great innovations a couple of years ago in FPS games, System Shock 2 had done back in '99. Even spiritual successor Deus Ex did not quite get the attention it deserved.
Short version: Warren Spector is a genius and the games he was behind should have changed gaming.
All that and one of the creepiest baddies in gaming.

If you can look and listen to that without getting creeped out, well... I just don't know.

Me too.
But we can draw comfort from the fact that Ken Levine would love to eventually make a System Shock 3:
It's a pity that EA seems to own the System Shock franchise these days, it'd be nice if they could work out a deal that lets Irrational make Shock 3. But then, this is EA we're talking about...
Deus EX was damn good. I hope the new one will be a success, the sequel was disappointing.

Oh... That's the main reason I'm reluctant to buy an Xbox.

The more advanced the hardware, the more stuff it burns up I guess.
@Mik3: Are you signed up on some website or something? I heard about the DeadSpace 2 Beta and I want to play it pretty bad.

Well, I already signed the NDA, but Ill tell you guys what I know anyway. The dev team is having us give feedback on a private forum, and they want us to add all of their PSN accounts. Though most of them already maxed out on friends lol.
Anyway the multiplayer only has one board at the this time, some mining place. Two teams, Guards/Space Marines and Necromorphs/Aliens. As a Marine you have everything you have from the first game, same controls even. Killing Necromorphs gives you more ammo and med packs etc. As a Necromorph, theirs three classes with their own strengths and weaknesses. Its an objective game. Marines need to find 3 keys and bring them upstairs one by one to open the door. Necromorphs have to stop them until the time limit runs out. Staying and working together is key for both side. So far, a lot of idiots who think its just a deathmatch and don't guard, or try to secure the key. So right now, if you even use a little teamwork, you're gonna dominate.
And they want us to find bugs and stuff blah blah, but so far, haven't seen anything out of the ordinary.
