OP has been going on way too long but its still a good manga. Sorta lost interest after Ace died.

In all honesty, part of the reason I love this arc is because of Law. He really became one of my favorites during this arc. I had already liked him before, but Dressrosa did it for me. He as the utmost respect for Luffy, the two quotes in my sig show that. It's part of the reason why I love him so much.

After that, they will not get major development.

Well his development is done as soon as we know what is his backstory.

No, that isn't true at all. We know Luffy's backstory, does that mean he can't develop? He can still grow as a character and improve on his flaws.

Well, sure. There's always room for development.
But in onepiece I always saw the character as finish product. Especially luffy.

yes. i'm ready for him to disappear for the next 4-5 years.

 

meh. i thought i would like him due to his epic speech during the war, turns out i don't really find him all that interesting, and his fanbase over at nf ain't helping lol. but i gotta admit he's strong as shi*, and i hope luffy wipes that damn smile of his face.

Honestly, I knew I would like him when Whitebeard caused that tsunami and Doflamingo just laughed hysterically. I think he's a great villain because he just wants the world to burn, and he doesn't care. It helps that his voice actor is great, that laugh is epic. I do wanna see him get whooped though XD
