Let alone the inconsistency in the story if nh became canon it would also be way too ooc on naruto's part. Naruto falling for hinata won't happen. Forget it.

Ss is broken. There's no way their relationship can ever be verified as healthy, loving and good when it comes to the romantic aspect. They absolutely won't happen.

Rtn was a lot different since it was AU, this movie here isnt. Its even worse since its some kind of epiloge of the manga.

Kishi doesnt seem to care about consistency of the story nor the characters as we have seen in the latest chapters, so dont be suprised if it turns out the NH way.

I know. A lack of proper resolution even in the secondary format just paints Kishi in an even worse light. Both of those characters deserve a final climatic showdown and proper closure to their motives. They catch my attention much more unlike Hinata's angst around Naruto.

And I'll never see Lee kicking Neji's ass.

 

Maybe there'll be a second last movie with Oro, maybe that's what the next area project is about... Tying the lose ends and giving focus to neglected characters ?

I hate it when people justify Hinata's big advertisement in that movie with RTN's advertisement. It's not the same at all. RTN was promoting character's big change of personnality, while here they are promoting the end of Naruto and the pairing itself. It's a whole different level, RTN was making fun of Hinata being bold on Naruto and Sasuke being a nanpa (I think playboy is the english word). Here they are adverising NH being possibly canon, which I believe will be the case, though I'd be happy to be wrong.

The only thing that worries me is that 99% of the ship teasing is for NH. NS only got that 'surely Naruto' comment. It doesn't make sense for them to alienate their intended audience. That's backwards marketing. If the romance in the movie is NS, then why make it so the NS fans wouldn't want to go see it? Ehhh

The funny thing is people often jumps to conclusion, which leads to focus on one thing, and completely drop everything else beforehand. In short, noticed how people started to remember that the movie have said it's a introduction to the new era. We all fixated to be end all be all. Now, it's like everyone finally got out of genjutsu and just remember everything. Some remain stuck but hey, I cant change them. Not to mention no one give a manga chance to end. Let that wrap your head around in utterly disgust.

Here's the thing: that comment is a tease but it's not selling products. Stuff like you see now is.

Its a pretty bad sign if even a personal assistant of Kishi thinks that NH is gonna be canon even if its just his opinion...what i dont believe since he as it seems directly said that NH is gonna happen in the movie.
 
 
Problem is that Hinata got a puppet; Sakura didnt even get one, says a lot about sakuras importance in the movie.
Trust me i would be happy, but i doenst seem to happen since kishi is just too bad in writitng.

James@ my thoughts exactly the NH fandom is jumping the gun as usual, and in the end they're going to be so disappointed like they always get when reading the manga. I think the manga will end with Naruto confessing to Sakura and she accepts him. During the movie he's together with Sakura but he's been thinking for a while realizing Hinata confessed to so long ago and yet he hasn't given her a straight answer. At one point he decides to talk to her and that's what that picture is all about. Naruto's expression says it all he's about to reject her. I think Kishimoto is trying to show a positive message with Naruto rejecting Hinata" even if you're feelings aren't going to get reciprocated you can still maintain a wonderful friendship with that person" I'm sure Naruto will become good friends in the movie making the NH pairing all about friendship. That's why I believe the NH song is about getting frienzone. Of course the NH fans will call that bullsh*t cursing at Naruto and Kishimoto for breaking Hinata's heart

Don't forget that Lee is intended to surpass Guy. Frankly, I don't see how he's going to manage to outdo that showdown Guy had with Jubi jinchuuriki Madara. Perhaps if he showed that he's capable of unlocking all the gates now while doing a better job at damaging this new character while surviving the fallout with his body still in tact.

I am apparently living in a backwards world where the adverts and product placement for a movie have more credit than the actual story does. Whatever reasoning you try to show, people just blow it off....why....I am not even gonna bother anymore. People....feel free to be pessimistic all you want. I am tired of these games.

It's just amazing how we throw aside Sakura, Naruto, Karin, and even Sasuke's feeling all because Hinata gets a Keychain. I hope Kishi just trolls and actually make the girl we THINK is Hinata is actually Hanabi's design and Hinata has yet to truly make an appearance. That will be funny as hell. It would also makes sense with all the advertisements and all the posters.

I don't know, dude. Frankly, I am just tired of all this drama. If it is a rejection, so be it. Get it over with and move forward, but if Kishimoto can't even have the guts to end anything of the pairing drama, then what's the point at all? At this point Kishi has written himself into a corner where nothing seems right anymore. Everything feels OOC and the only pairing with any sense is NS. Every time I see Kishimoto's stuff, it is always NS oriented. When I see SP stuff, it is always Hinata oriented with the occasional NH stuff. All Kishimoto does is write the story. The advertisements and everything he doesn't even touch.

The fandom is constantly pissing me off and going overboard on everything and even about half the people here can't tell the differences anymore.

To make NH happen, you have to rewrite Naruto's character
To make SS canon, you have to rewrite Sasuke's entire character and you are left with questions like "What was the whole point of Karin then and her relationship bond with Sasuke who he actually cared about on several occasions?"

I'd rather he doesn't friendzone her in the movie, as it's way too late to do so.

It would make him look bad.

 

It's way too late to still have no conclusive pairings 3 years later, unless the theory about Naruto leaving Konoha during that lapse is true.

 

The whole romance subplot should be resolved by then and NH should be all platonic.

And it was written by Kishimoto, who decided to make it into a ns movie :) But you're probably right, this time, it'll be NH, I mean by now every movie had nh, not ns moments, in it. ;)

 

We're reading this manga by chapter and not by volume, as it is intended, and we're close to the end. Just wait these two chapters before you judge kishi about his consistency :) I'm sorry I'm way too optimistic and sure about ns, to be able to feel any doubts... That's because I've read this manga for a looong time now and the story keeps on flowing to ns^^

 

Kishi is definitely going to show us an epilogue and Naruto as the hokage. IN MANGA. He's going to end it conclusively, the movie will be optional. Look, firstly naruto is a manga and that's how it's going to end.

He's not going to pull on the last chapter a " And now please watch the movie to find out how naruto ends! "

 

Oh and btw Kishi literally put hinata out of the importance of the original manga and decided to resolve the hyuuga topic in an optional movie. I find that very funny.

 

We also don't know by now how much of a big part in the movie hinata will actually have, so I'm cool. The only thing I don't like is her design.

He never said that in the tweet. Also if you look, he's apparently said that Sakura isn't the heroine of the series, when Kishi himself has stated otherwise, and there was that question about Sakura "being for Sasuke's use". There is no way in hell that those tweets were real.
