What's older Sailor Moon or ET? Cause they both make sense in the context of the last since it deals with aliens, and the moon. Bonus points for ET though for putting a bike in there as well.

Am I the only one that actually thinks the animation for the movie is bad? I mean, to me, they barely even look like Naruto characters anymore, the animation just makes them look different...idk.

 

You can tell that they tried to add extra little things here and there, like the explosion effect Naruto's rasengan produces when it colloids with the enemy on the water towers attack. However the way Naruto looks is what brings down the over look of this movie. He doesn't look like himself with that god awful hair and outfit, but it does makes it easier to accept that this isn't the Naruto that we know and love.

Sakura made out good, Sasuke looks like he needs to be in an Aladdin/bollywood film somewhere...

Ino looks Awesome. 

It seems to be a hit and miss thing, but back to my feelings about Naruto's new look;
 

He looks like kitten. He looks like a washed out, lamer version of Obito. And Hinata? LOL Jesus, they had to make her dress MORE like Sakura to make him fall for her

I don't think they look like the Naruto characters at all either. In some ways that's good — it really looks like a different character kissing Hinata. It's not as painful as I thought it would be to see it. In some ways it's bad — it shows how little they care for the manga and how much they are trying to distance themselves from it.
 
Anyway, I don't care how friggin good the animation is, this is no longer a story I care about. They can do it in claymation for all I care. Still won't see it.

My sentiments exactly. The most interesting thing about this movie to me is just how disinterested I am in it. I thought I'd be more upset about it (that whole deal about Naruto's love for Sakura had me pretty angry), but for the most part, I just lack the capacity to care. Their lack of regard for the series, the characters in it, the messages sent, and the fans of the series has made me feel the same way towards them. I'll just take the Naruto I know, they can be damned.

Lys and I were joking about this earlier, but that kiss pulls out all the shoujo stops--its only missing Hinata's big, white and fluffy angel wings.

It's already in front of the moon, it has sparkles and they're magically floating, why not throw in some feathers, or flower petals?!

Funny how after Pain, ninja way is like vanished. I guess anything is possible now, if you know what I mean.

 

Naruto should have ended with the Pein arc, I say. Long before it could have descended to the sloppy mess of retcons, inconsistent characterizations, and head-scratching plot holes that it is now. I can't begin to understand how anyone would be able to look at this atrocious example of writing and call it acceptable, let alone good.

Exactly, but at least Usagi and Mamoru had build up towards their kiss, and not half assed into an one and fifty minutes like Naruto and Hinata's.

One cannot copy Sailor Moon ... or one will only end up looking like an idiot (just as Hinata and Naruto do look in that image).

Moreover...SP U DARE DESECRATE MY CHILDHOOD WITH THAT?!?!   DISHONOR ON YOU!!! DISHONOR ON YOUR COWS!!!! 

 

(but Tsu, you're right big, white and fluffy angel wings would have been hilariously funny. Hilariously funny distasteful, but given this movie it would blend in seamlessly)

Yeah I'm ok with most everyone's looks, especially Ino, Sakura, and Tenten they all look gorgeous. Then there are characters like Shikamaru, Lee, Kakashi, and Chouji who really didn't change much and that's ok with me. Then we have Naruto, Hinata and Sasuke who were destroyed. I stated earlier why I can't stand Naruto, but let me just say that Hinata's expressions is whats killing me softly. Aside from the kissing scene Hinata looks hella depressed, to the point that it's insulting. I mean this movie is supposed to be about her fairy tail ending and in most of her images she's looking towards the ground and she's sad, I mean really?! It's getting old. Then poor Sasuke looks like his name is now Sanchez and he travels the world selling oranges and Mexican candies.

At this point I don't even think Kishi knows, or ever knew what the hell he was doing.

This is now canon in my book, its way better then what he got in the end, he was just forgotten!
