He meant he didn't want to write romance for Shikamaru in the Naruto manga.  He wasn't making a sweeping generalization that he never wants to write any romance ever.

Yeah I figured. I wonder if the series epilogue will be like what happened at the end of Part 1 where we saw what everyone was up to...problem with that is that after 700 chapters or so there's so many major characters now not to mention we're likely also going to be watching their kids the future generation of shinobi

ShikaTema has been teased at certain moments in the manga, which is why the anime also likes to do it as well in certain fillers.

 

ShikaIno never had anything like that, it's always been platonic.

lol it always amuses me when NH fans say Sakura was never there for Naruto. Selective reading/watching at its finest. Is that all they have? Seriously?  Yawnarama Central! If Sakura didn't care about Naruto, why would she look out for him? Why would she worry about him? Why would she get mad at him when he did something that lacked intelligence? Why would she heal him when he was critically injured? WHY WOULD SHE COMFORT HIM?!

 

It doesn;t matter if they're teammates, in fact, that little detail gives NS more support! Naruto and Sakura know each other better than any other characters know them. They've been through Hell and back with each other, and perhaps maybe even went on the journey an additional two or three times. The fact is, since they're constantly around each other, they have room to work on their feelings, which is another thing NaruHina doesn't have.

i am not bashing nh fans but sometimes they can be annoying. I met a nh fan who had a ridiculous theory that sakura hits naruto that shows how much she hates him. How stupid is that !!!!

that sounds like something I have heard before as well, only, that last sentence confuses me....is the anti-NS fan saying Sakura can save Sasuke from himself ...or Naruto? And how would her one-sided feelings matter if Sasuke doesn't give a damn? ....my brain hurts... 6_6

I haven't had a run in with NH in a while. I usually ignore them. Even youtube comments don't get to me. I guess I'm just tired of the pairing wars that I numb myself to them. Even with my brother's constantly bashing Sakura I ignore them doesn't bother me. It's like how can ONE character, an anime character, someone fictional make you so angry and hateful. Just don't understand. Sakura's abilities go beyond Naruto, it reaches into the real world. Haha.

imo NS became endgame ever since 297

though nobody expected the Naruto series to go as long as it did (were nearly reaching 700 chapters now) so I kind of understand if some NH or SS fans make the argument that 297 was so long ago Kishi probably ended up forgetting about it.

yeah not once has Naruto ever turned Sakura down because of that... if any thing the only reason why he did because he knew that she wasn't being completely truthful. she may not have feelings for Sasuke anymore and may be falling for naruto, but the only reason why she said "I love you" was to stop naruto from persuing sasuke any further in an attempt to kill him her self. Now that Saskue is (sort of) out of the picture the only thing in the way is the war, heck even now would be a great time to hook up. many people are just saps for "Love on the battle field" heck In Dragon ball Goku even proposed to Chichi before the greatest fight he'll have in the series (before DBZ of course) and TOO is owned by the Shonen Jump company.

Lol I am quoting my own post XD. I'll like to clarify certain things from my side for the above post. First of all, I am very sorry if from the above post it is portrayed that I find M to M platonic. But guys that's really not the case. I do believe that it was meant to have romantic implication and it was not meant to be just a plain CPR and even I support the reason that since Sakura is Naruto's love interest she is the one to perform M to M on him. From the above post I just wanted to bring to notice, the OTHER reasons as to why Sakura was on the sand cloud instead of Tsunade and Hinata. I AM NOT AT ALL OF THE OPINION THAT CPR WAS PLATONIC OR THE WHOLE SAKURA THING IS PLATONIC. Hinata can never be as close to Naruto as Sakura is, never ever! I wanted to say that since Kishi wanted to portray that Sakura had surpassed Tsunade and from pairing point of view Kishi wanted to start building the final phase of NS relationship, it was Sakura of all on the sand cloud. I just wanted to bring to notice the other possible reasons apart from NS buildup(NS was the main reason though) and not say or support that CPR or Sakura being on sand cloud is platonic or coincidence. Incase I have portrayed that, I apologize but that's not really the case. I wanted to point out that there were many reasons for Sakura being with Naruto with ONE OF THEM(and also the most important of all) being last phase NS buildup. I am really very sorry for this post and all the caps I've used, but I couldn't really help it since I was misinterpreted.

u know what this shows how the nh fans have misunderstood nh . And perhaps ns too. I mean yes naruto loves sakura thats why he cant see her dipressed so he promised that he would bring back sasuke for her not for ss!!! He in this way can win sakuras heart truely . Where there would be only true love in between naruto and sakura no kitten distubance becuz of sasuke . Thats what i think.

Well, the amount of sane NH fans go in minority while majority of them are insane. Yeah, I agree with you to a point that there are good NH fans out there, haven't met SS though, but they are very very less. Regarding the ignoring part, I think we won't need to prove NS because time will tell itself(I hope). I choose to ignore because no matter what, I couldn't change their views and instead I ended up being pissed off myself. Maybe I am being a bit arrogant here, excuse me for that. time will tell everything my friend but we cant just sit and watch . We do this for having fun right. And i also agree that sometimes its best to ignore some annoying anti ns fans .

If at all I'm to argue, I'd like to argue on their claims like 'Sakura has been a kitten to Naruto' or 'Naruto does not love Sakura anymore' and you know claims like these. But yes, that won't stop me from supporting NS fans in a debate. I'll try my level best to support them in whatever way I can.

Well, new chapter is coming close. After the pain I have to go through from extraction (x_x), I need some justice here. I am going to wait and hope for the best.
