I'm curious why some people think NH will still happen despite 631

Are they not familiar with how the "shonen father/girlfriend conversation formula" goes?

Still I have to say Sakura is the only one who reacted violently to that kind of question every other female heroine either acted casually while the main protagonist denied it or blushed and ignored the question.

So off-topic, but I don't know why I'm a bit shocked but the latest yugioh series ended and well, if I get the right idea, a pairing actually got confirmed. Yes, a yugioh series with an endgame pairing. That's.......shocking. YEAR OF LOVE, BROTHER!!!!

well she didn't deny it so that's a good sign . And it was funny not meant to be serious so I wouldn't take it so serious . She was embarrassed IMO .

NH tries to pass 631 as a joke because apparently 632 proved that he was joking. Then there's 633 where Hinata thinks back to the hand hold and says she wants to be beside Naruto forever. That's why they still have hope in NH, from what I can tell.

Just a question... do you guys think Kishi will keep trolling the pairings? I think he should clearly show that NaruSaku is end game pairing from now on, since the manga is seriously about to end...

 

Well he does shows NS is the endgame, I would even say Kishimoto is in the phase of canonizing NS. I mean, look, Hinata was symbolizing failed on reaching Naruto, Sakura’s on the road of moving on from Sasuke (fake smile, chapter 540), while we keep on getting big hints like Minato’s girlfriend comment and the CPR.

And I want to say that even if most of you guys prefer to say it’s just a CPR to keep him alive, while it’s the truth, it’s not the matter, what’s matter is the contact of the lips which is really impactful in term of shonen manga. By doing this lips contact, Kishi kind of confirmed NS as the end game.

 

And that’s what really annoys me, everywhere I go, I read from NH/SS fans that NOTHING happened between Naruto and Sakura during his “death” moment..... Hello ? Tears on her eyes? Mouth to mouth? Heart massage? Reminiscence on his dream?

A joke, I suppose, but not the kind I personally find funny.  The term that was used is revoltingly crude.  Who needs that thought in their head, especially on this forum?  Oy.  Sorry.  I'm not square, but just... no.  

 

I don't think Kishimoto is necessarily trolling the pairings, but trying to keep suspense .

 

Yes.  And if he didn't make it suspenseful, people would be complaining that the romance in his story was boring.

 

Do we have an estimate on how many chapters might be left?  Or just a SWAG?

Which by the way is also another Kushina parallel, since Itachi said that Minato was a great hokage because he had the support of his wife and the rest of the villagers backing him up.

Well, Madara is yet to be defeated and even after that there are many many loose ends to be tied up. So probably we'll have Naruto for some more time than we are expecting.

As much as I despise Hinata, I don't believe she gave up on Naruto like you've said. She wasn't able to get back up simply because of exhaustion, not because she decided to give up on him. It's like I have a never-give-up personality when I do my morning jogging, but some douchebag shoots me in both of my legs. I want to to continue jogging no matter what but I can't, because my legs have been blown off.
 
Do you honestly think Hinata doesn't want to be right there with Naruto helping him however she can? Well she can't, because her body won't allow her to.

Nice interpretation. I might as well add that Kishi had a chance at this moment to make NH canon or prolong the pairing wars but he didn't use it. He could have showed us that Hinata is busy in war and is oblivious to Naruto's condition. But he didn't. He not only made Hinata aware of Naruto's condition but also made her trip and fall down so she couldn't reach Naruto. Now since Naruto's condition is acute, he surely needed some expert medic to put him on track again. Here's where Tsunade could have come into picture by going with Gaara on the sand cloud and we could have got something like Tsunade seeing Dan and Nawaki in Naruto like in part 1 and Tsunade saying "Naruto you can't die. I have placed all my bets on you. Please don't make me lose atleast this one! We all need you. You are supposed to succeed me. " and all that and she could've remembered how she could not save Dan. But, what happened in reality was completely different. Tsunade was asked by Gaara to heal Naruto but she HERSELF suggested Sakura of all to be the one to heal Naruto and asked Sakura to go with Gaara. Now, since Naruto needed some expert medic(Tsunade) but what we got was Tsunade being out of chakra and Sakura accompanying Naruto. This plot somehow fulfills Sakura's dream to surpass Tsunade one day by being the expert medic with Naruto. And now comes the pairing part, he made Hinata fall down and Sakura be with Naruto. All the evidences as suggested above, point to the fact that Kishi is drawing a conclusion to pairing wars. Foundation of NS was set long back(all the moments and evidences) and now he's using that foundation for building and canonizing NS relationship. I think he shot two birds with a single shot in this scenario(Sakura's dream and NS. Sakura's dream is just my deduction though). This was just my interpretation. All the contradictions and corrections to the above deduction are more than welcomed :)

What I wanna know is this: Why is everything I look up for NS in a different language 99% of the time I look for stuff, yet all the NH/SS stuff is in English? 

 

It's quite annoying...

I find it rather confusing... and even backwards on some occasions.It makes me really sad that I can never meet a NS fan in person.  America just sucks sometimes.

BUT when it comes to M to M, you just realise that Sakura was also there because she's Naruto's love interest, and nobody but her could have done M to M to Naruto. It would have been awkward if it had been Tsunade right ?  So saying that it's not a romantic gesture is a bit wrong because it's often used at something romantic in a lot of mangas. And that's also why NaruHina fans are so upset that is wasn't Hinata at Sakura's place.

I think you got me wrong. I am not saying that M to M was platonic or its not romantic or its just her job. I am just sighting out more reasons as to why Sakura was with Naruto apart from one of the reason being NS development. And as for Hinata, she is does not even come close to Sakura when Naruto is concerned. I am not contradicting M to M moment by saying its just her job or its platonic but I am just widening the field of approach for the reasons as to why Sakura was put beside Naruto and not Hinata or Tsunade apart from just NS development. Get me?

I do agree with ya otaru . I think it was the best thing that kishi could do for hinata. And also i think the mouth-to-mouth resuscitation was kinda romantic though many anti ns fan would argue that its not romantic she is just doing her job to save him and when u think about it deeply it seems right. But as u said there is another reason why sakura is with naruto , cuz she is her love interest i really agree with that . Though indirectly it is the longest ns moment in this series
