Those Treasure Hunters are really strong, wow.

 

Hmm....So a few chapters after we see Ultear sacrifice her time and become an old woman, we're introduced to a new magic that reverts age. Anyone else getting the same idea?

 

Part of me really wants to see Ultear again, but I really really don't want to see her sacrifice cheapened so quickly. Hopefully Hiro doesn't take the convenient route. Though I do still feel like she'll be mentioned again, given how Gray's already been found thinking of her twice since she left the plot.

It was canon that Gray at one point was "slightly interested" in Lucy.  We found this out when Gemini and Angel made a clone of Gray during the Oracion Seis arc.  That was the extent of Gray admitting feelings for anyone in the manga, and it went exactly nowhere.  (Aside from panicked visions of GraLu courtesy of Juvia-Vision.)

 

At this point I'd like to see Juvia take a step back from her obsession with Gray.  Not so much give up on him, but give him a little breathing space.  Maybe when she isn't fawning over him, he can see her from a more objective viewpoint. Doubtful that's going to happen any time soon, though. 

 

I expected the anime to return.  And with today's barrage of chapters, there is a nice wide gap

between

the "return to status quo" (horse play in the baths) and the start of the new arc with the tree dude and the city of frozen giants.

 

Concerning the anime, does anyone think we might have a filler arc focusing on a quest to find ST's new guild master? I could see the next arc showing ST's new master all of a sudden with some allusions to the filler arc that takes place before. With a filler arc placed before ths arc, and another one after this arc, I think this could give a nice wide gap between the anime and manga. That way, we won't have anymore hiatuses.

Is lucy saying her fateful day was the one she joined the guild or met natsu? because she joined the guild the day after she met natsu so... she saying her fateful encounter was fairy tail or natsu?

Possibly Fairy Tail, but the way it ended trying to suggest ambiguous. Still, it could be Fairy Tail. Either way, a nice nod.

I have a question. Somewhere during the arc before the time skip, charlie had a vision where Natsu was crying and there was a lifeless hand. Was that vision already fulfilled? I'm too lazy to check all the chapter :S

Well considering one of Erza's first thought when she became chibi was Jellal saying he has on interest in little girls, it's all but confirmed, we just need to see how they get around hm being possably the second most wanted man in Fiore after Zeref.

The Flame is....

Atlas Flame, as a lot of people had predicted. Looks like Natsu's going to get a power-up from him. AF probably knows that Zeref and Acnologia are still wandering around and that Natsu desperately needs more firepower. Now I'm wondering if Walrod is aware of this fact. It wouldn't be so surprising if Mavis told him of what had happened at the GMG. AF was probably frozen for some time, but it wasn't until Walrod realized the truth that the flame is AF himself, that he decided to send Natsu to him. I'm positive Mavis orchestrated this whole mission.

 

Also, there's another thing worth noting. Flare's magic. A couple of chapters back, we learn that her hair is imbued with AF's flame. Now, I wonder if this would make her a pseudo-DS slayer of sorts. I'm also playing with the idea that the DS will each get a "vessel" of sorts to support their magic. If this is true, then Flare will become Natsu's support in battle. I know people might hate this idea, but it's not out of the realm of possibility.

That or anyone that associated with Gray like his master. I mean another Ice mage could only mean someone from that area, though I could be wrong. We'll see soon enough.

Aside from being Gray's father, he could be Gildarts' brother, or Ur's husband.

 

Ok, so we have some important revelations.

First, Demon-Slaying magic (and subsequently, Demon-Slayers). The fact that it could freeze Atlas Flame, definitely shows it's something special. I wonder if it forms a trio of Slaying magics with the others? Orga and Chelia couldn't do anything against the dragons, but their magic is strong enough against the Dragon Slayers. Not only that, even though Silver did manage to freeze Atlas Flame's fire, he still couldn't extinguish it completely. So, I'm wondering if they form a hierarchical structure. Or maybe it's pyramid-shaped with Dragon Slaying magic at the top.

Speaking of Chelia.... so she learned GS magic from a book? hmm.... not exactly the most satisfying explanation, but it was definitely implied given how Hades "taught" Zancrow Fire GS magic. And we did see Ultear researching time magic in Hades' library, so it's not impossible that Hades had the materials necessary for Zancrow to learn Fire GS magic. I think we might learn a bit more about GS magic from Orga sometime soon.

And.... I really have this feeling that Romeo is gonna be the next Fire GS. If he learns about the source of Chelia's magic and he researches it with Totomaru, they could find some way to apply the basic applications of Chelia's magic to Rainbow Fire, then I think he could learn it. I'm sure that Dragon Slayer magic has an underlying basic application between them. This also applies with GS magic. I've always felt that Totomaru has been seeking Fire GS magic and put his entire life to researching it. If he finally learns of Chelia's book, he might finally have a breakthrough in his research. But I have a feeling that only younger mages can learn it because of their still developing bodies. Totomaru might learn that he's too old and not suited to learn it. But Romeo can.

I'm thinking Romeo will eventually become FT's Niebel, where he'll have a big fight in the last battle.

Next, E.N.D: This is by far the most significant development of the manga so far. Only second to Zeref's reveal. It's definitely reminiscent of Endless, so it could be something the lines of that. But whatever happened, I think it has a relation to Zeref's face heel turn.
