I think they were forced to promote NH because it was end-game, but I believe that if they had a choice it would be NaruSaku as the end pairing. I blame Kishimoto entirely for how it all turned out. So I do disagree with the rest here who are putting all the blame on the company as if they manipulated Kishi into choosing the pairings that he chose. It doesn't add up to how they were before-hand, which was preferring NS.

Yes. Substitute the interviews with the novels. They're already terrible, from what we've seen from Kakashi's novel.

It doesn't really matter who's idea it was. The ending is kitten and i don't see how anyone can say that this is the best and most logical ending to a story that had been going on for 15 years.

I also don't see how this makes the NS fandom a "laughing stock". Because we believed in logic and evidence? Because our pairing had mutual development and NH and SS did not (until 699 and The Last). Seems pretty reasonable to me.

Even if I were to believe the "red herring" excuse (which i don't) then that still doesn't change the fact that NS has more development than NH and SS.

In the end it all reflects badly on Kishi.

NaruSaku is perfectly grounded within the story, is far more logical than the other pairings that did happen, and makes far more sense within the context of the themes presented through the story. End of.

 

I don't believe in the red herring excuse either. What would be the point other than to be a kitten? It makes him look incompetent.

 

This doesn't look good for him, and I think he will find it difficult to pursue his non-Naruto venture later on this year.

Very true. Oddly enough, I never saw them romantic ever. Even the movie has to create a new moment in order to make it work. The weird part is that the movie moment is what made Naruto realize her love. Yes, it was combining with Pain, but why not solo, let alone why Naruto is emotionally dumb.

Well, I'm not shocked about that they dropped theme of Naruto who remembered her confession and admired her with "you strong" words, but at the same moment, likely showed that he will not return those feelings. But oh well... they retconed all, not that it matters now.

That Hinata may be kitteny but is surely better then original.

Yeah, because it's really like that. How many OOC moments was about NS in anime? Please number them.

But their favoritism over Hinata created alot, naked Hinata dancing in moonlight, bully scene, scene of Hinata fighting Pein (when in manga she was onwed in one hit), her struglin over Naruto, her medic skill's, whole episode that saying it's practicaly Hinata saved Konoha with Naruto. 

+ all those scenes was wrapped in nice visuals. Especially war scene.

NH is all about Hinata sitting on Naruto D, and becoming heroine, there is no Naruto's character in that pairing.

+ Hinata's VA is very popular idol in Janan, so:

- Big brested submisive female character.

- Very popular voice of it that gather alot of fans.

- Last thing that was needed - it's more screen time, and guess what? With such ending - she got it.

So now, you may change your point of view, maybe even a little?

Who says the moments had to be out of character? SP put in NS scenes, and it could be similar to how it's portrayed in the manga. That doesn't mean they weren't added.

That's what I'm talknig about, NS was logical in terms of story, but Hinata => NH as money making cow, jumper before it.

Yup. I was a bit of a NH shipper during Part I, but that quickly dissolved in Part II and I never really saw romance between the two. Had Kishi actually included some of those retcon movie memories in the actual manga I'd feel differently. But you know it's a bad pairing when a film that premiers after the last manga chapter needs to rewrite and rework large swathes of the story to make the pairing work.

Again you wrong in whole SP, whole SP was favoriting Hinata=>NH. Only one person was in charge of all things that was about NS, she was in charge of two OVA's. And if you compare how much there is NS inserts and Hinata inserts - you could get your answer. 

+ many fillers that gives more money to them. And their symbol in 700 really shows that SP had their hands of ending.

Well, you have to remove all the hints for NS and keep it as friends. It's not hard.

I'll do that but for Sakura's novel I'll substitute the toilet paper with a sandpaper bc I don't think my ass will be able to handle its content  it will be to much   ,

Agreed. NS wouldn't need a movie to justify why it became canon and it most certainly wouldn't need to make characters act totally OOC, turn the hero and heroine into completely unlikeable people or destroy some of the most well developed bonds in the series. 

 

Right. The red herring excuse makes no sense whatsoever. Kishi has admitted that he's not good at writing romance. If that's true, then why did he spent so much time developing NS and not NH and SS? To troll us? I don't think so. In order to make a red herring beliveable you have to make all options seem equally plausible. Kishi didn't do that. Instead he made NH and SS completely one sided for 99% of the story while giving NS lots of mutual development. That's not how a red herring works.
