But Sakura said first "I feel...", I don't think that she thinks that she's at the same level of them, just stated that he wasn't after to them anymore like wen in the first part. He felt like that wasn't chasing them anymore but have reached to them.

 

About your question, I believe it was general response! But if there's someone who she has replied at then that was Naruto.

I hear ya. I really didn't have a problem with here statement about finally catching up to them, just wanted to clarify what Sushi meant. I think that by catching up she mean that she was at a sufficiently high level to properly fight besides them. I'm sure she knows that Naruto and Sasuke still have more overall power than her.

 

Also, that makes sense about the "Yes!", but since it felt so general I wanted to make sure of it. Still her main focus still seems to be with Naruto regardless of anything.

Did she really say that she had finally caught up with both of them? What kind of writing is that?

 

Now I agree with every reviewer that bashed her for this. You don't punch the battlefield in pieces and think you've caught up with Naruto. Maybe she meant as in strength, but that has to be without the Kyuubi and she needs a SM now, or else she is cocky.

I could be misinterpreting this... but I think she finally feels like she's part of the group being able to do something, where in the past it was normally always just Sasuke and Naruto doing most of the work. I don't think she telling herself that she's necessarily on there level, just that she can finally contribute herself.

LOL You should of felt that way from the beginning Sushi. I've always felt that when she said, "I've finally caught up with them", she meant she's not far behind, and she doesn't have to heavily rely on them anymore. I mean, she's pretty confident in her abilities, and given what she has just done, it's definitely impressive. She gained praise all around, but I don't think she feels she's on par with them. Just that, she's capable of holding her own finally.

That's true. Lol. I'm becoming known with that quote, aren't I?

 

 

That's what I worry about as well. To me it's now obvious that NS will happen but I worry about how Kishi might handle it, especially when it comes to how Sakura will interact with Sasuke from now on.

 

At least in 632 Sakura herself made it a point that Naruto was overthinking things just because Sakura noticed Sasuke first at the end, but I hope that at no point Sakura goes showing any sort of genuine preferential treatment towards Sasuke because that would truly then be seen as a regression to her character.

 

Sakura needs to:

1) See Naruto and Sasuke as equal teammates

2) See Naruto with more romantic care than Sasuke

3) See her romantic feelings for Sasuke in serious analytic way, not with simple joy.

 

The progression of Sakura's character shouldn't come at the cost of regression. It would be bad if she becomes hopeful regarding her feelings for Sasuke since it would be ignoring the development she's had in the story. If she thinks about her love for Sasuke once again it needs to be an extremely serious moment that makes Sakura really think.

I see what you mean. Well this is only one chapter with Team 7 being the old days. Time has changed but why not being together as a team once more. I think Kishi have this reunion to happen because it seems like their next move will have them separated, especially for Sasuke, knowing that there's something about his motive that is still a mystery. You can say this arc is like a thank you for enjoying this manga for so long by Kishi when it comes down to it. Again, let's see how everything goes down.

Naruto. Funny how Sasuke managed to tell him to stay out of his way, while Naruto and Sakura interacts. Again, Sasuke is always Sasuke. It's just his motive is in question, but for now, the bets will be off once they taken care of Juubi.

Well it seemed she was happy with her progress and now decided to tease either Naruto or both of them with their rivalry. She wants to join on the rivalry.

 

I wonder if this will be further developed or it was just a comedy/tease moment.

Still this stuff does not undermine the NS stuff from 630 and 631. The parallel is still up as well, just waiting to be built upon again. Sakura is mainly focused on Naruto, I mean even with Sasuke back remember, she was talking to Naruto about fighting not Sasuke. That short trade of her giving Naruto a determined look and him smiling back, he knew she was serious and could do it, he read her like she read him in the chapter before.

Or its just a big foreshadowing element, I admit, its kinda hard to let go, maybe if we get another NS moment next chapter, like these past few then we can get more to focus on. Its still kinda a big deal, I mean its a reason we are all excited for future chapters more than ever now.
