In the Pain's arc, the whole of Konoha was made to look like helpless running cowards,

Not really. They fought and they failed to win simply because Pein was stronger than every Shinobi in Konoha. Even Jiraiya, the Legenday Saanin, could not beat Pein. Pein had never lost before he faced Naruto.

Really? The Hokage, Tsunade was busy doing what she does best-- Saving lives. And Sakura was doing everything she could to help her mentor.

 

 

 

All so that Naruto could be made the saviour, in an obnoxious hamfisted way.

The fight with Pein was where Naruto was supposed to have matured. It was the point when Naruto surpassed his father and Jiraiya. And since this story is about Naruto's journey, he got to shine the brightest. 

 

Why is it so hard for you to accept the simple fact that NOBODY in Konoha except Naruto was at Nagato's level ?

Naruto can't win against six path of pain. That's why kishi nerf deva path(the strongest) so he could fight the other five.

I mean, sasuke doesn't awaken the left rinnegan, unless he awaken it in this movie.

The movie does not matter too much at the moment , no matter what spoilers we get from it . The last two chapters of the manga are most important now , pairings can still be resolved in the manga ( well , the pairing we care about anyway ). If that will be the case , then the movie can be Akamaru centric for all I care  .

Speaking of which , why we got Kiba sketches and no Akamaru ?    Kishi is a cat person  for sure

It did seem like bullsh*t that several ANBU were struggling to defeat an animal summoning, while Naruto just appeared and took out all summonings and Pain bodies in like one episode. Like, aren't ANBU supposed to be the strongest nins? I know rank doesn't mean everything, but it's still ridiculous how weak they were portrayed.

 

I also wish Konan had fought that arc, like the opening had hinted at.( Serious let down, that Sakura, Ino, and Hinata couldn't tag team, but instead we get an episode of filler BS, that blew SP's budget.)

I saw it as her realizing someone may someday steal Naruto from her, and deciding to show to the rest of the world he's hers.

 
Come to think of it, have we ever witnessed how Sakura would react to Naruto being checked or invited out by another girl? She was very competitive with Ino when the attention of Sasuke was still a motivating drive for her in Part 1. But it's like her confidence and demeanour is completely different around Naruto. It's more down-to-earth, natural, confident... She wouldn't fawn over Naruto like some obsessed madwoman, nevertheless I can't imagine it sitting well that her closest friend who has always held a deep attachment and affection for her going out with another woman.

Loyalty is something that Sakura has probably come to expect from Naruto. He shouldn't be violating his ethic for boundless determination when he's aiming for a goal. It's not who he is, and I doubt Sakura would want that from him.
 

I don't like it at all. Especially since I wanted to see Hinata and Sasuke talk at least once so I could go down with my crack ship in peace...
Plus I feel Sasuke could have related more than the rest to her problem with her sister, certainly more than Naruto, but well, Naruto will be hogging everyone's friendship, like always....

Of course! The unspoken bond between Sasuke and Hinata that transcends any social barriers that might put them apart. They do have quite a bit in common. Both hail from old-fashioned clans with a traditionalistic pride in their family structure. They were both cast aside in favour of a sibling who showed more promise to their fathers. Both have been profoundly impacted by this neglect and the drive to improve themselves so that they can win approval in their father's eyes (this is directed mostly towards Sasuke though).

If they had been given an opportunity to interact with each other, SasuHina might have been a viable option. I'm sure their respective fathers might approve of a union between their two clans versus having their son/daughter married to any random joe from the street.

Not sure, there was just a big list of all his comments in the NS debate thread a while back. I /think/ Pepsi said he was told Sakura's marriage would be an important plot point? It was a while back

No, of course not. But you know, Sakura has to do be fighting 24/7 to be relevant. They also forget, that Sakura was not just reduced to healing. She took out a giant centipede summon with one punch, saved a little girls life, and most likely went around town saving villagers, which is really what her and the other ninja should be doing in the first place. Have no idea how that makes her helpless

She's on the CD cover and what so not ... ppl ... there is not even a Sketch from Kishimoto of her.

The ANBU were not struggling to defeat the beasts, they were struggling because the beasts used to multiply in number every time they took one down. Also, Naruto did not 'take-out' the beasts. He let Gamabunta and the other toads handle them and the toads struggled as well.

 

The summons only vanished once Naruto beat the Pein responsible for Summoning the beasts. Naruto did not even do this alone, it was the idea of FukaSaku and Naruto needed Gamabunta's help to achieve this.
