I know you didn't say it was an asspull, what I'm saying is that it's not completely devoid of asspull.

The white mage description is convenient simply because Sakura was reduced to a backup character, when she clearly did not start out that way at the start of the second series. Majority of the fights and character development went to Naruto, Sasuke & Kakashi. Guess after the Kazekage arc he forget Sakura was part of time 7.

Oh well, there's no point in me crying about it now since the damage has already been done.

 

You can say for sure, Sakura has been handled much better than any other female character save Tsunade,

 

if anything tsunade is the best handled/developed female character in the series, kishi should have done more with sakura for what he did with tsunade.

 

But if he got anything right on Sakura it was her mental growth, the sasuke stuff is still lingering around but its mistrust last we saw. But physically, he always had the opportunity to do more with Sakura, he should have just done more of what we saw him do with sasori, sakura could have fought kabuto early in the shippuden series, he could have made Sakura and Sai arrive to assist Shikamaru against Hidan, he could have let her fight against one of pains bodies (win or just have it left unattented and brought back later for naruto to have faced), in the war arc against the edo tensei army, 2 perfect opportunities, he could have expanded the fight with the 7 swordsmen making her face at least one, maybe even haku would have been enough, but even better would have been against chiyo, if Sakura had ended up facing Chiyo, that would have been a good development battle for her, even if gaara was in the fight with her, that fight envisioned is a really symbolic one, its sakura and gaara, who used to be former enemies, working together to save chiyo, who gave her life for gaara, as a means to free her from the edo tensei. I mean the whole concept of Sakura and Gaara did come recently but if we got more battles, this would have been nice.

 

You can say for sure though, Sakura has been handled much better as is than Ino or Hinata.

Pretty much.

Question to many. In all honesty, before 662 happened, what were your thoughts on where Gaara was taking Naruto to (just one stop) and if still go to medic, how did you once see going down?

To answer myself, I was thinking mostly on Naruto going to Minato and nothing more than that. Luckily, I was half wrong. The other part I thought was that Gaara was going to take Naruto to medic and pretty much have them heal Naruto somehow while he tries to find Minato. That said Naruto will be in the scene with everyone. So glad I was half wrong there. This solo trip is much better. I just didn't think Kishi would really pull the trigger, especially 663.

So, what were your thoughts?

This doesn't pertain to anything in particular, but I ran across this in my museum of screencaps.

 

 

I know some fans are worried that Naruto can't or won't approach the subject of his feelings for Sakura, but he will.  It's practically guaranteed.

 

Sakura will do or say something that makes it clear she's done with Sasuke.  Even if she doesn't, once he has dealt with Sasuke to his own satisfaction Naruto will make his move on his Sakura-chan.

 

Although he is very serious about her and what she means to him, beneath it all Naruto is still a fairly classless goofball.  He is likely to do or say something corny but sweet.

 

No one knows Naruto's heart and personality like Kishimoto.  I have a feeling the resolution between Naruto and Sakura could end up a combination of funny, cute, sweet, serious, and maybe a little uncomfortable.  Naruto will probably do something dumb to trigger Tsundere!Sakura, who will then have to admit that she loves him anyway.

 

That's my upbeat contribution for the day.

Personally I wouldn't mind if he stuck to the name Menma I mean yeah it's the name of evil Naruto but that was non-canon anyway besides I also recall another non-canon character with the same name (Some dude with a flute or something)

Though I'm not sure Sakura would let Naruto name their kid after his favorite food

No, it's not canon. The only thing that is canon is what happens in the manga. The anime is an adaptation, with filler and added material that Kishimoto had no part in and that is not part of his story, the manga. Kishimoto may have wrote RtN, but the events did not happen in the manga and that makes it non-canon.

I think Naruto will confess too, but I always believed it would take a lot for him to confess his feelings. He's held himself back so much over the years and you see it's all because he didn't bring back Sasuke. It's debatable if Naruto still refuses to confess because of the promise, but I feel like it's more him to stick to that because he knows Sakura not wanting Sasuke back isn't her true feelings.

 

I also figured that the only way Naruto would ever confess his feelings sooner was if only if Sakura approached him on it and convinced him she was over Sasuke/genuinely loved him. That is the only exception IMO and that's one I've been favoring for a while. I know it seems unlikely for Sakura to confess again, but think about it. What else would stop Naruto from holding back? I feel like it has to be Sakura if their relationship is ever going to go anywhere. It's ironic really, but true IMO.

 

Naruto could be the one making the first move, but like I said it would take a lot. Something major has to happen that changes that part of his character enough to be the one starting off the confession.

I agree completely. I view Naruto's feeling like a dam. He has held back his feelings for so long over the years that there will come a moment that dam will crumble and he will confess his feelings rejection or not.

I don't think Kishimoto is necessarily trolling the pairings, but trying to keep suspense .
